As a bit of a "button masher", getting the hand-to-hand down took some getting use to, especially in the boxing event...but it's certainly on me, and I'm not ashamed to admit it. 😂 Thankfully, the puzzles are no trouble at all.

Just finished the game, and everything else aside, the story is just phenomenal. "Old school" Indiana Jones. I only wish the last two movies were that great.
I love the enthusiasm you have are having while playing this! I started playing it the day it came out on Gamepass. I'm currently finishing up another game and will fully dive into this one soon. So far, it's great!
If you tilt the camera down enough, your punches become kicks. Also it matters what attack you use after a parry. So for example, if Indy parries an attack coming from the left then use the button you use for punching left to do a follow up punch, the opposite arm in that situation would push the enemy away. Highly recommend rebinding block/parry to a mouse button like MB3 or 4 if you're on PC Also, once you obtain the lighter you can actually burn some of the propaganda posters for more adventure points(seemingly the burnable ones are red). Most of the burnable posters seem to be in areas surrounded by enemies which will aggro them if they catch you

Moxie I and Moxie III both only give you one more bar. Buying all three book will give you a total of 3 more bars. That goes for health as well. The "extra health bar" in orange you get when you're Indy is actually an earned/found option. It isn't an extended, longer lasting health bar, it is a second chance. When you're knocked down, you need to find your hat on the ground and it will give you another change to keep going. It is orange because it is charged and ready to use. It will be hollow if you just used it. Doesn't take long to recharge.
I have so much fun playing this game. Never have this kind feeling since RDR2. The story also amazing. My tips; explore more and do side quest. Don’t progress into main story too fast.
I just got to Giza tonight. I complete the sphinx and got all the Stele tablets and got the work passes and now left at a check point after mopping Voss’s office. Fun game. My only complain I would much rather it being 3rd person instead of first. Other than that it’s been great fun.
@ nah first person games feel cheap in a way if you’re just looking at a screen. I don’t feel like I am a character when playing fp. Third person makes more sense cause I see the Character I am controlling. Fp is a cheap easy way to not have to do as much motion capture. No one would’ve wanted to play a first person version of Mario or sonic. They’re games, that’s the fun part seeing the character. What am I 5? Playing imaginary land that’s in Indy lol like I said seeing arms and a screen just feels cheap.

Game is a blast! Dodging while fighting is clutch. Just tap X for PS, or A I think on Xbox while you’re moving with the left stick. I noticed enemies were dodging all of my charged heavy blows, so I started copying them. Really works well. On very hard mode, you can only take a few hits before you’re down, and if you mistime your parry/block it takes a bunch of health AND stamina. I try to mix in dodges with parries and it makes fighting a gang at once just a tiny bit easier. This game would be KILLER in VR!
this game really surprised me. my expectations were low. No hand holding, simple but fun combat machanic. lots of exploration to go. a good script. lots of things going for it ! right now Im playing on xbox game pass but Im gonna buy it when it has some discount on steam as well. it deserves it.

If your trying to 100% the game, there are some pictures that if you miss taking, you apparently cannot go back and get later. Make sure to pay close attention to the camera icon in the top left. I missed the Tomb of the Warrior Giant. I was enjoying the story and didn't see the icon come up. Once the bulldozer crashes from above and destroys it you can't go back and take it.
Indy is back! And we have full control! Graphics look beautiful..gameplay is loads of fun...combat in particular even shooting is fun and engaging! I had high hopes and as always Machine Games did not disappoint!

Can you explain how to best deal with dogs please? Those fuckers always bite me, no matter what and I lose almost all of my (fortified) health, which is SUPER annoying. Yes, I'm using my whip like the tutorial says, but trying to contain the dog and fighting at the same time just isn't possible,
so those books u buy from the nurse at vatican, can u buy them all? or is it better to save 15 bottles and buy the teir 3 book for health or stamina?are u limited? i bought 1st tier health, maybe that was a mistake from watching this video. if anyone knows , plz let me know.
I didn't take a picture of the post office man. He was mad about it. Also this game is very difficult on hand to hand combat. I wish there was a bit more introduction to it.
I dont rate this game. The story and the cut scenes are good but the entire game is basically an interactive movie. You mooch around a bit then spend a few minuets in a cut scene then rinse and repeat.
Things this game never told us: 1. How to reload. 2. How to use the Repair Kits. I still have no idea. 3. Little puzzles and simple tasks that are infuriatingly easy but the game gives zero clues or prompts. Still a great game, but it still feels rushed.
More like the developers try not to treat you like an idiot and let you figure stuff out for yourself. I got stuck on a few puzzles before I realised I could turn notes around as there were often things on the back that helped you solve the puzzle. The boxing matches are well worth doing as that is basically a tutorial on fighting. Until I did that, I was floundering with my fights, but after completing all the boxing matches I was massively better at fighting in the game.
World building is 10/10 but I’m not sold on the combat, respawning combat areas & the run+jump+whip+swing feels like absolute trash. This game MUST MAKE MANUAL SAVES as an option. I keep failing a jump to whip swing and after death I get sent like 20 minutes back to a crappy lame old checkpoint. All these dumb doors are locked on one side . It just feels like time gating EVERYWHERE. Again , characters , story and world design are chefs kiss. Probably a great $40 game idk, am finding it kind of frustrating to navigate with all these intentional time wasting

I think one of the best books to read is the while dressed as Indiana if you get knocked out you have to find your hat to give you a second chance

I love this game.

Start with least expensive. Each adds a bar. It's not the case that when buying the III version you get all three bars.
Luckily I learned blocking in the final fight. Everyone is complaining about the fight. And I solved it in my second attempt
