Yeah, he does only kill people who are in the same game as him (apathetic mercenaries and criminals). It’s just the fact that he gets into these situations
Yes it I'd talked about. In the second game when drake is arguing with the main antagonist it get brought up. However drake is only killing people who are trying to kill him which makes it self defense instead of murder
Well, to be fair... He didn't start aout trying to be a hero in the first place and there were many instances where he didn't want to be a hero or villain - he just wanted to live a normal life. He only became a hero against his better judgement at times. His main course of action was treasure that people wanted to kill him over and to stop them from possibly bringing the world to an end, they had to be killed. Might be the worse good guy in some people's eyes, but he's a good guy nonetheless. Besides, if he doesn't have to kill, he won't. Like back at the museum when he didn't want to kill those "innocent museum security guards" as he called them. Either way, him being able to kill entire armies mostly by himself is a pretty impressive feat cause most times it's 1 million vs 1 the numbers usually win. Not with Nathan. Nathan is the legit one-man army with better climbing and jumping skills than Mario. Almost like Batman who also has a lot of kills that no one really talks about.
I’m only 1:46 in but Nate’s Mother sure she dies of an “illness” but I hope it’s mentioned what actually happened to her because it’s super important to Nate’s upbringing. It shows him there’s a reason to fight and never give up.

I keep hearing nathan drake is a mass murderer offhandedly from video essays about jason brody, and I got curious enough and clicked on this when it popped up let's see how it goes
I still don’t understand why TLOU2 heavily dived into “murder a lot of people, face consequences and revenge bad” when Uncharted has someone killing so many soldiers and mercenaries, y’know some of them might have families. So why did TLOU2 punish the main character so much for it when Nathan Drake barely gets a scratch?
The Last of Us Part II tries to make a statement about the player doing atrocious things, but the game also won't progress the game unless they do terrible things. The Last of Us Part II is a much darker game than the first entry because Ellie's hellbent on revenge whereas in the first game, she was Joel's spark of hope. The question the game asks the player is "how far would you go for revenge?" Uncharted is a much lighter series compared to The Last of Us and doesn't take itself as seriously.
Considering the uncharted movie it's kinda relatable coz spiderman is actually Nathan drake i mean the parkours kinda similar but the game stands out the movie by a cherry on top
i didn’t realize that comic existed and now i’m actually kind of mad about it because including supernatural elements in an early drake adventure kind of ruins the first game
The mass killing is for the gamer not the narrative. check out the trophy in Uncharted 4 called Ludo narrative dissonance it is the difference between what the gamer experiences and what the narrative wants to accomplish! The cannon death rate is probably less than a hundred but that's still a lot!

I like the detail that Nate doesn’t kill any of the museum guards on Uncharted 2 which kind of leads me to believe he has some sort of moral compass, even though he definitely has a little cognitive dissonance…
Nathan drake has got to be the most prolific serial killer in history
"I'll give you two reasons."
My inner Nate: "Uhh... what do you mean?"
My inner dante from dmc: "This partys getting CRAZY"
Man the Uncharted 4 ost is so good
Well, to be fair...
I don't care if he's a mass murderer... I care about the fact Sony doesn't care anymore about this franchise!
Not murder, it's self defense
By murdering…
Keep tellin yourself that
@@lanceelopezz223 so you mean telling myself the truth? Ok!
@@deanjames108a lot of the fire fights are initiated by the enemies so yea sometimes it would be self defense
@@deanjames108 murder is premeditated, not self defense.
1:57 nice South Park reference
I’m only 1:46 in but Nate’s Mother sure she dies of an “illness” but I hope it’s mentioned what actually happened to her because it’s super important to Nate’s upbringing. It shows him there’s a reason to fight and never give up.
she committed suicide
This is hilariously way more petty than I anticipated 😂. I just started replaying Uncharted 4 this week too…this is gonna be in the back of my head when I play it later. 😭😆
Dude you are a g, that Kadarius Toney line at 16:48 was so unexpected XD
fr i was dying lmfao
bro y tf u only got 8k subss this shit funny and entertaining..
"Most ancient artefact if all" lmfaoo
I reply the Uncharted series frequently, and have no problem with all the killing that Nate does, but every time i play the 4th, i can never stop thinking about it. Its really because he was out of the game, and had a good life being a law abiding citizen even down to not taking the Malaysia Job because they couldn't get permits for it,and how easy for him to just start dropping mercs like its no big deal.
Bro Indiana Jones kill count is as big as the population of a village yet everyone still accept him as a chill guy, but when it comes to Nathan Drake everyone suddenly turn their faces
I've never thought of him as a good guy. At best he's an anti hero
13:26 it was the Pinkertons Dutch they ambushed the camp !
I know it wasn’t the main focus of the game, but for Nate to not have some sort of PTSD regardless of most of his kills from self defense is crazy.
Dude was so happy to tell his daughter about their crazy adventures too lol
Nathan drake disrespect will not be tolerated
honestily you can say that for alot of archeologists, like indiana jones, Lara croft, and even Nico Robin
Wonder what brings these types into the profession 😅
Crazy how I am only 17 MINUTES into the video and Nathan already has 700+ bodies!!!!
3:19 "A couple years later..."
Too right of the screen: TWENTY YEARS EARLIER
Bruh
I keep hearing nathan drake is a mass murderer offhandedly from video essays about jason brody, and I got curious enough and clicked on this when it popped up let's see how it goes
Me, an intellectual: Mass Self-defense.
Yup
because they are 2 different games?
He does kill hired soilders tho that are payed to kill people aswell
Stop scraping for answers it's still murder 😂
Is it just me or does lazaraveicz looks like he belongs in a wolfenstein game
He’s still a badass
I remember when the old lady died of a heart attack I was like fucking how??
Neil Druckmann demanded it
No I'm a mass murderer! I was the one controlling him the whole time
12:38 damn this has me crackin' up
"he's looking at your face, dude" 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Subbed.
It's honestly scary how you guys are calling murder "SELF DEFENSE" when it's still murder 😂
TLDR: someone who is a lesser evil
Luck is his superpower
when you ask how many men have you killed and realize uncharted is a horror game.
best vid right here
That's just like beloved gta protagonist. Thare all psycho.
Considering the uncharted movie it's kinda relatable coz spiderman is actually Nathan drake i mean the parkours kinda similar but the game stands out the movie by a cherry on top
Do max payne next
👀
@@KingDeschainMax Payne is awesome
Op
i didn’t realize that comic existed and now i’m actually kind of mad about it because including supernatural elements in an early drake adventure kind of ruins the first game
The mass killing is for the gamer not the narrative. check out the trophy in Uncharted 4 called Ludo narrative dissonance it is the difference between what the gamer experiences and what the narrative wants to accomplish! The cannon death rate is probably less than a hundred but that's still a lot!
fun fact: there are 2 chapters in Uncharted 4 when you can optionally kill enemies
which one is that
this video is great, i love uncharted
HOLD ON HOLD ON ITS HERE YESSIR
