Evidence of what, TikTok stores all of the information they get from you on a back up server in Singapore, which conveniently is run by a Chinese company. Facebook and Instagram have nothing in their terms as far as I know that would make it possible for them to give information to foreign countries. TikTok also just collects more information, like all of your camera roll and stuff.

I have never even downloaded TikTok but this fervor for banning it is ridiculous. The only good thing to come of it might just be these commitments as it’s way more than I’ve ever heard from any other social media company. So just make a framework to not let them swim out of it and be done.

There are many people who use TikTok for their livelihood (influencers and most UA-camrs).
Yes, TikTok needs to better secure the data of US users as well as users of other countries to prevent 3rd party countries (in all candour, we're just talking about China's CCP) from accessing their data but TikTok should still remain available for use as many people still use and rely on TikTok.

wrong. tiktok does not honor free expression. they operate like Facebook by shadowbanning users who so call violate community guidelines. ie, I have a violation for supposedly hateful ideology by making a video of political memes. also, a violation for uploading music from my own library and got a copyright claim violation, but I corrected it vybusing the same song that was on tiktok library. so wtf
also, I like chatting chinese girl on tiktok, theybare so nice. but the app itself is shady. it is filled with mallard, and will disrupt your phone. sometimes u won't be able to close the app without long pressing the shutdown feature on your phone.
Yeah I’ve had videos removed of me lighting off fireworks for “violence” lmao. And it takes up far too much space on my phone.. was 400 something gbs just to download the app and ends up being into the 900s after using it for a few days… glad some people have that type of space but I got a 64gb phone and that took a huge majority of the space.

TikTok needs to give a US company the exclusive right to operate the TikTok application and all related assets in the US, so that the Chinese TikTok company has no control over how Americans' personal data is handled.

Apart from Chinese kids, everyone else is seeing dance videos and ridiculous challenges. And I don't trust the Chinese government with our data.
