I still don't understand why they removed the Mummy Memory levels. I mean they were kinda annoying to play, but they were also very fun honestly
Idk why they did that,but at least they didn't remove the Coconut Cannon level

I recently started playing again after a 5 year break and I'm shocked they got rid of that.
Tbh, I hated the Mummy Memory levels when I was a kid. Especially considering i couldn’t use power ups or lawnmowers. To make matters worse I had to leave behind Bonk Choy, Grave Buster, Repeater, Twin Sunflower and the prizes I can get behind because of those levels. Though they became easy when I learned to master them and I started to like them

The mummy memory was really intense and fun to play. After you get used to it it would be easier than ever. I dont understand why did they removed it, it was an incredible alternative way to play the game.

My favorite part of Ancient Egypt was the memory game, I think taking it out of the game was such a poor idea. It was very fun and engaging, and would've made a great level for farming pinatas.

The 1st fact also applies to other modes. For example in levels with plant limits you could still plant them and get a game over where as of now you Just can't. Also worked with the Dave's spaces
I remember playing Pvz 2 when the far future came out with my bro and experience trolling each other by “accidentally” dig out the endangered plants, screaming at the screen for losing mummy memory for god knows how many times, taking hours to download the full game package, gargantuas for keys and looking at funny Facebook gifts icon drooling for those rewards and trying out the event levels that give free plants and got ghost pepper, gold bloom, aloe and electro cranberry. Good ol time 😌
I remember when there were only 3 levels and those plan and defence mini games I remember if the zombies tramp on your lawnmower you lose 😐
and if I planted more plants than the limit I lose too or if I plan on these mold thingies I lose too
I love the fact that the old updates didn’t even care about helping you they just wanted you to use your brain lol, it’s basically you have to keep focus on the small problems not just the zombies

Myth: In boss fight of the "Frostbite Caves", If you break or melt the ice that comes out of zombie at the end, the zombie that comes out of the ice will eat every plant that comes in front of it and eventually when the zombie arrive at our house, it does not kill us and just walks by.

one thing I'd definitely not miss is the keys required to open a specific path to unlock certain plants. God I still remember wanting Bloomerang and actually got bummed out getting the key
Now it is even easier,just glitch the game
My favorite was the mummy memory. And now its removed, although i dont understand why it hasbeen removed because it didnt really affect the game in any way or made it bad, instead they made it more interesting.
But even if mummy memory was removed it will never be removed in my memory

I like that endangered tile can swipe with escape root to be on power tile, nice one!
The biggest punch to PvZ2 in my opinion is removing the “Ultimate Battle” and “Brainiac Maniac” music. I feel it made the game really lose a lot of it’s charm and energy.
I took a break from pvz2 and when I came back and replayed the game, I was thinking that I was missing something after the free powers level related to the camouflage zombies, now I remember.
Fun fact 11: In the comics, it’s shown that after living in that era for hundreds of years, the zombies actually developed a society in them.
This is probably why they all fit the world’s theming and also means that they have probably been living there long before you arrived.

I really prefer the old version of PVZ 2.
I have a theory the reason they got rid of mummy memory is that there may have been a glitch in later updates or patches where since the ability to win was based on mummy's spawning perhaps there were instances of the matching mummy wouldn't spawn and thus result in the player loosing completely out of their control this is just a theory but it may have been possible during the many updates with zombie changes and plant updates
they got rid of the levels for space for the arena and penny's pursuit

@@boyt8712 mummy memory was an old minigame where u tap camel zombies to reveal their icon and u gotta tap another camel zombie to reveal another icon. If they match the same icons they die. Idk why it wss removed

I don't know why they removed this thing with digging up endangered plants with a shovel... But sometimes I accidentally removed them, leading me to lose the phase, so maybe they removed this because of accidental removal?
The memory of ancient Egypt was very difficult for me, I passed hours being nervous 'cause, matching the right patterns, but I really liked this minigame... I miss this phase so much :(

I loved this game when it came out with only 3 worlds it become boring coz of playing the same world every time but when far future came out me, my brother and my cousin were so hyped seeing a new world coming in, it was far future , and when Dark ages came it became a little bit harder and when Big wave beach came right after we basically gave up lol it was to hard
And also I remember one of the power ups being a green one where you like push your fingers sideways to like a zombie but it got replaced by the snowball power up
I loved the game when being gifts instant of pinatas, when in the tutorial of Powers aren't plants, and Yeah the Memory Mini game was the best part.... I miss the old pvz2

fun fact: in earlier builds the first mini boss stage(acient egypt gargantuar level... i do not know its day number) used to give all the keys you ever need but now you have to defeat the zomboss of the given world to proceed which is annoying for players with skill issue like me(meaning i cant get the plants of other worlds that was meant to be claimed after you are done with the previous world)

I think they removed mummy memory because it was really hard but couldn’t they have made it like just some sort of optional thing that is just for getting coins but doesn’t have to be completed to complete a world. I remember I was 6 playing mummy memory and it was so fun!

I don't know if you all know this... Plants VS Zombies 2 from the start has a different pathways to unlock doors or stage and such. Of course, this was 1 of those hardest type of game since it has so many levels in just 1 world. Unlike now, it has only the most 32 levels in 1 world. I still can remember that you need specific keys to unlock those paths for you to complete up until you get to the last stage which involves battling Zomboss only for the other World Keys. Those times was the real start of the PvZ2. But it was hard, maybe that's why scrapped the idea of it.
