I love the chat mentioning that Ultima is getting tilted around 29:30. It’s the first time in the whole game that he shows any real emotion, and it’s him getting pissed that his own creation is more powerful than him.
this was one of THE MOST badass Bahamut´s ever in FF. my god the top to me is the one from XIV because its a world shaping beast but this one wow! no wonder why its the King of Dragons, also the first fight with Ultima in that dark ifrit form lol it give me Space Godzilla vibes, by the way is Ultima a real god or they are just aliens really advance Aliens that traveled to find another world...? Ultima its like a fusión of all its kind i believe...oh also the first boss phase theme of Ultima is an arrangement of the main theme of FF1
Yeah Ultima's people were basically just a super advance race who's finding another world to live in. They destroyed their world the same way the people are destroying theirs by using too much magic.
Ultima reminds me of the Creator from FF4 the after years, like Ultima, the creator came from a advanced civilization which fell to a calamity and thus they were forced to go to space and find another planet to live on. Makes me wonder... are they from the same civilization? probably not but who knows. lol Also Ultima's earlier form Typhon looks a lot like Gorsia; who is the final boss of 7th Saga on the SNES.
i wish anabelle sees this final fight from hell or wherever she is and I hope she sees that it's her shunned firstborn son that killed a god. She was so blessed to be the mom of Clive and Joshua. I hope she regrets it so much that her fictional soul won't rest in peace.
Kinda reminds me of 7 Remake when Cloud goes advent children. Square keeps upping the ante on these games can't wait to see rebirth because Nomura won't hold serve
I was going to make a gameplay video about this but sadly that content is blocked because I usually record my gameplays on the console without using any capture card.
Bro, I’m so happy, I loved this so much more than I was expecting to. Kind of tempered my expectations so I wouldn’t be disappointed if the ending flopped, but I thought it was so good. I just wish there was a slightly harder difficultly with no mid fight checkpoints available for a 1st play-through. The final boss here, if it pushed the player far enough, would easily outshine any final boss in the souls games, it would be fucking legendary. But I know that isn’t what they are going for, so I won’t knock them for not doing it.
its actually so good in FF mode. It feels like the true way to play the game, the only issue is that you have all the eikons at the start so its kinda immersion breaking 😅
They nerfed Bahamut hard on this fight. Vs Ifrit and Phoenix he uses Gigaflare and Teraflare among other powerfull abilities (I dont count Zettaflare because I guess he could only use that after absorbing the aether of the mothercrystal) Vs Ultima he just uses Megaflare. C'mon man...
If everyone realized clive didn't die. He passed out on the beach and lost his hand not his arm just his hand. The next day he makes it back to the hideout. He writes the final fantasy book in honor of his brother. Tells his story those kids are his and Jill's decesnadants in the future. She cried when she seen the moon and the metia star flicker but also have to remember that metia star is a wishing start nothing to do with clives life force in anyway. Gav crying well he was already crying before they left lol. As for torgal he was feeling sad for Jill it all makes sense do the last side quests and get the full story
You’re making so many leaps of logic to justify this. It may be true Clive survived, but everything else you’re saying is just fan fiction, we have no way of knowing that is what happened. Why do you think Clive wrote the book and not Joshua? What makes you think those are Clive and Jill’s descendants in the future? Gav cried because he saw Jill’s reaction and realize what had happened. Torgal looking up at the night sky also realizing Clive isn’t coming back. You can argue that the sunrise and Jill’s reaction to it signify Clive’s return, but everything else you said is just fan fiction
And something I want to add, I do believe Clive survived, and I also believe he had some involvement in the book because it is hinted at a couple times throughout the game. I think the most damning evidence is him narrating the beginning and the ending of the game. I think it’s very obvious that Joshua probably survived due to the lack of frustration/“welp at least I tried” emotions Clive had after reviving Joshua. He literally revived him then walked away to finish it. If the revival had not worked, we would have seen Clive be frustrated and react to his failure instead of just walking away
No I'm really not of you played through out the whole story you would understand. There's not a doubt in my.mind he didn't he was exhausted on the beach he just lost what bit of magic he had lost all his eikon powers including ultimas. The red star is the metia star its a wishing star nothing to do with his life force his hand turning to stone is the bearers curse. All he lost was his hand he didn't lose anything else. Jill's side quest explains it too whe t he dawn comes he will always be there and has proven that multiple times she smiles and knows man then those kids are his blood line in the future.
I'm just over 20 hours into the game. My main complaint so far is its lack of subtlety ... Everything in the game is two-dimensional, it's all black and white, and the scenes are constantly either ultra-epic or just blank. Characters are either nice guys, vilains or whatever, but always personified with a stereotype, with very little nuance. Unfortunately, the GOT influence is only superficial. But the story is still nice, so I'll keep playing 🙂
Was not so great to watch. Could have been better. Much better. Their is so many flaws and stupid involvement and intention for only people of Europe or Asian citizens enjoyment. I am not into unreal Greek/French godlike profanity or fantasy and bad romance or poor-quality graphics. The game has no flair. Bland or irrelevant on story and dialogue and already done before but done worse. Slight stronger graphics on plates or surfaces on everything. Certain distances on graphics are bad. What is thrown around like fire but not water is done better than the another but needs more work. Auras of fire as powers is a stupid and not ideal enough. The game does not suit some people or many. ff16 or any final fantasy is a minority type game. They're just not done very well. There is not much else for me to write about ff16 or any of them final fantasies. Wrong type of a typical/normal fantasy that should be lighthearted. Fantasies are meant to be wrong and drive us away from realism.
It was a tad disappointing that they didn't make parts of boss fight actually playable. The flight towards the crystal could have been a good panzer dragoon moment, the triple team could have been a great moment wherein we can control all 3 eikons, switching between 3 of them but it was all QTes. Still looked great, though, but Dion's boss fight was, i think, the perfect blend of Qtes and actual control.
@@Jdemonify aggressive much? Speaking of reading...he states that he prefers a cutscene with button prompts THAN a scripted fight indicating a comparison between what he thinks are two things. I replied and said those 2 are the same, as they're both scripted fights.

Okay. ...but I was NOT prepared for the amazing Dion. BAHAMUT 4 EVER!
Dion is the greatest GIGACHAD we’ve ever seen
too bad he's gay
Dion was my favorite Dominant in the game. I'm a sucker for the chivalrous knight characters that just want to do the right thing.

Weird Eldrich Horror Demon as the antagonist. Classic final fantasy.

Yup. It's a JRPG for sure. You punch God in the face so hard he dies.

so good but my heart hurts they killed joshua twice 😭😭

Why is both ff16 and xenoblade 3’s final levels called “origin”?
the source of all conflicts is considered as a foundation for endings. Origin is a way to call something true form and prevail the finale level.
The same VA voices the main antagonist of both games too. 😆
