I love this tutorial, and can't wait to try making my first pair of mittens! I'm curious though, about how you incorporated the different colors into the lovely pattern in your example mitts at the beginning of the video?
what weight yarn did you use, what size needles did you use? Also, this is so much easier, and makes so much more sense than a different video/pattern I watched. THANK YOU!!!
When you decrease, how many decreases should I work for each round? And do you follow the same pattern as you did for increasing? (Dec rnd, normal rnd, dec rnd )?
This makes it look so easy. I can do hats on in the round cabled needles but everytime I try with double point I get ladders ;_; I've tried tons of tutorial help videos, but he makes it look so easy ;0;!

Because we're knitting in the round, can anyone tell me if this is possible on circular needles?
Sure :) Just use magic loop, or two shorter circs in place of the DPN's
or get a 9 inch circular, that is what I use.
