Hi 👋 Chris. Love your channel. I like Dr Feelgood very much. One of the best groups of the 1970s as far as I'm concerned. Climax Blues Band are good , they had a major hit in the 1970s with a song called Couldn't get it Right. I think it charted well in America too. I've been going through my music collection. I put on my copy of the soundtrack to the 1998 movie The Full Monty. It certainly put a smile on my face. The Sweets song Action is soooo cool. Other tracks from them that i like are Love is like Oxygen , Blockbuster , Peppermint Twist , Little Willy .
Nice Duranie 12 inches. Gary Moore is buried near to me and have paid my respects there a few times. Love that Give Us A Wink album by Sweet, such a misunderstood band, not glam rock, just hard rock
Hi Chris, Yes do a Gary Moore video! I have some stuff by Steve Hillage! I saw Dr Feelgood and solo Wilko as well Private Practice also a great album! Loads of great stuff the Sweet got virtually everything! Superb as usual Chris 👍 Spirit are a grower of a band! 😆
Another awesome video Chris glad you picked up a few good bits and pieces recently especially the sweet album awesome stuff have a great weekend mate until your next video STEVE
Nice one Chris. This has given me a few ideas of what to listen to at the gym. I’ve heard Gary Moore’s homage to Peter Green (who is probably my favourite guitarist) before and i know it’s fantastic. So shall enjoy picking this up again. Glad Crusaders get a mention. So often only associated with Street Life but their albums don’t disappoint. The production on their albums is always superb and really highlights their talents. PS may sample the Sweet album. Might turn into a guilty pleasure. Thanks again. Keep them coming!
Hi Chris, as soon as you mentioned Gary Moore I thought of the one album of his I loved and had on tape in the late 80s. I couldn't remember what it was called; as soon as you said 'it has an Irish feel' I knew it had to be 'Wild Frontier'. Thanks for bringing back the memory.
Hey, don´t apologise for DD. Still producing great stuff. I was born in ´61 so grew up loving Glam, Classic Rock, Punk & New Wave. Spent the 80´s clubbing so have a massive soft spot for DD, Soft Cell, Japan, Howard Jones, Thompson Twins, Human League, Gary Numan, Ultravox et al. Was the decade of the 12 inch too and some of them are majestic.
Be Seeing You is my fave Dr.Feelgood album. I love those mid 70's Outlaws albums so i hope i come across that Tommy Paul album. Never seen it before. Great find on Powerslave. Pasi
Really enjoying that Dr Feelgood album. Henry Paul - So Long and Grey ghost are the Standout tracks but are worth owning the album for Cheers Pasi Chris
Really enjoying it Neil. His best for a while I think. Benny Dancer is tremendous. Going to do a vid on Gary Moore I think. Cheers fella. Have a great weekend
Nice varied haul. Just added the Crusaders to my listen later list. Powerslave is a really good solid album and my favourite Maiden album cover. I'm in the middle of checking out the latest Sweet album which is actually quite good.
Good stuff ,Climax blues band are brilliant, The Stamp album is worth investing in .Crusaders excellent musicians. Dr Feelgood were brilliant live.Duran Duran made great stuff in early days. Spirit very underrated band back in the day.Nice selection.
@TheVinylOrchard You touched on the Japanese experimental stuff ,some of it is fantastic well worth checking out ,some great producers ,DJ,s at work mixing up eclectic stuff
Hi Chris, some good stuff there. Not so sure about Duran though, saying that, not really heard that much of them apart from chart hits. Definitely Dr. Feelgood, love that album. Struck it lucky myself a little while ago. Went in to a charity shop to look at the vinyl and picked up the Bernie Tormè Band single, I'm Not Ready, Promo, for £1. Keep em coming. Cheers.
'Wild Frontier' was among the first hard rock records I ever bought when I was about 16. My copy went missing during my undergrad years though. I've just joined the gym at work, so keep the gym music recommendations coming!😆🏃
It's good to hear someone talking about their experience streaming. I used to get a boot out of listening to people sanctimoniously sound off on their distaste for streaming, like it somehow compromised the purity of their experience. That was fun, but it got tedious and increasingly apparent these people were really complaining about streaming compromising their perceived exclusivity of knowledge. Streaming is the most perfect democratization of music we have. And Sweet are absolute Glam Rock Gods! Andy Scott is one of the most under-rated guitarists ever.
Lovely smorgasbord of sounds Chris, nursing a sore back after a day cleaning up after 'storm annoyance '...so see The Crusaders was a tonic.Rotation by Herb Alpert is worthy of a spin. Middle Of The Road...is mind blowing Chris...from The Meters 'Fire On The Bayou' album. Any chance of another designated label vid? Charisma, Lightning, Elektra,Harvest? Sterling work as always, ian.
Loving the variety and enthusiasm you always bring to these episodes, Chris. But today’s clincher has to be those immortal words, “… might as well pick it up …” 😅😅😅 Used that phrase so often as a teenager, and now as a husband, to lightly explain away some new purchase when confronted by a quizzical raised eyebrow … Looking forward to the Gary Moore episode too.
Hi Chris. Funny you should mention Steve Hillage as I’ve been listening to albums by him in my collection this week. I love Dr. Feelgood but have nothing by them on vinyl, really must change that. I agree Sweet were brilliant, for me I like their Glam and heavy stuff equally. Hope all is well with you, Take care, John.

Nice to see another Durannie - great band and the 12 inch mixes are superb ! Are You visiting the Moseley Record Fair next Sunday ?
Moseley is too far away. 2+ hrs. Bristol is the only fair I visit. Enjoy DD a lot!
