I met you in LA at the Rose Bowl Flea Market and just wanted to say that he is genuinely the sweetest guy! Literally so kind and engaging for entertaining my question about what's his next project, unforgetable!
That desk belongs to a bedroom set. It actually came with a bookcase that attached to the top. We had the entire set growing up. My parents bought it from Sears:) Great job👍
I love that you are not afraid to try something, decide it's not right, and make a change. The ability to edit goes beyond tech, and it's such an important skill!
At first I was not convinced the chair would look good with the black desk. I thought immediately no.. but seeing the final look altogether it looks amazing. You always continue to amaze me with how you design. I wish I had even half the amount of talent/vision that you have.
Drew you are such a gentle, kind, happy person that inspires your audience with your creativity and humanity. I am grieving the passing of my kind, gentle, happy, and loving MIL, this video provided me some comfort. Thank you.
Omg that desk (when you first found it) looks EXACTLY like the desk that my mom had when she was growing up, and that we just re-found in my grandma’s house in VA! It was a French Provincial desk from Sears, circa 70s/80s!
@@lonefox that is probably why the legs and hardware looks so similar as your dresser. They had to be mass produced and used on multiple furniture coordinating pieces.
My mother, who passed away last year at 99, had the exact same dresser and desk as you have. The dresser is still gorgeous natural wood, but the desk she redid in antique white about 40 years ago. I have her desk in my room and my daughter has her dresser in her living room. These pieces have a timelessness about them and can be incorporated into many different types of decor style.
I cannot thank you enough for these videos. My place do not have such shops as Target or IKEA, but everytime you do a DIY or a room makeover, you inspire me to utilise all the resources at hand. They've helped me get through a very difficult phase in my life, infusing in me the zeal to create things out of almost nothing, and I'm so glad I came across your channel. Thanks for existing, Drew.
Drew, once again you have taken a space and made it sing. Chef's Kiss!!! But more importantly in this video you look so happy. There is true joy that resonates on the screen in your smile. Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy. It looks great -- and the fact that it was Free!?! You go boy 😀
OMG...I love it! The desk was a lucky find, and it looks a thousand times better painted black. That lamp is everything! I love all the Etsy items. Fantastic job! Also, you have such beautiful eyes.
I love it when you get excited and your voice gets super high pitched, you are too cute! What a beautiful office, it's so YOU. My favorite is the marble pieces...they give me cool early 80's vibes...LOVE.

Beautiful. You have magical taste, Drew, but what I love most is that you're hands on, and can do all the practical things, too. I'm glad you took the stripes off the arch, as simple is better in a small space, imo.
I absolutely LOVE you...when you found the dresser and said, "guys I got it!" I felt every bit of that...I get so excited when I find things that work with my home :.)
The thing about your videos is that usually there is one element during the process where I’m like ‘no, that’s not going to work’ and by the end you always manage to pull the space together that it is just perfect! (This time it was the chair for me, which by the end looked great there) amazing job!
That is a beautiful space. I agree that the striped archway would detract from the vibe of the space. More than a refresh, less than a remodel. It's gorge.
Drew, I moved into my sister’s house to save during this economy and while I’m here, I am remodeling/organizing/ redecorating her entire house and your videos inspire so much of what I choose in each room. Love it Drew!! The treasure and all of that space is the vanity that you used as your desk and that turned out gorgeous I wish you would’ve done like a pic of your dresser and this desk side-by-side since you were modeling after it because they almost look like they’re meant to be together or maybe they are meant to be together now that you have time with him. Again absolutely gorgeous love it!!!
The excitement you had when you picked up the desk... so cute. I felt like I hit the jackpot too! Made me laugh... Life's little pleasures and treasures☺
The refresh looks fantastic, Drew! Love so much the new elements you added, and agree that the walnut shelf liner helps balance the black desk. When I was a little girl I had that dresser and desk (and nightstands, bed, and tall dresser) which were family pieces my mom bought in the 1960s, so they are definitely vintage. They were made in the U.S. and were heavy, well-made, solid-wood pieces in the French Provincial/Queen Anne style. You got so lucky to find your matching desk on the street like that!

They both picked out the same print and I love it!
I was wondering if I was the only one to noticed that ^^’
Awesome as usual! The desk looks beautiful with the new paint job. I did not have this set growing up but do recognize it. I also recognize the print and lamp from Mackenna's new dining room make-over. Your spaces always look good before and equally nice afterwards. It's fun to change things up!
Drew, this is hands down one of my favourite makeovers you’ve done recently! I would LOVE for this to be my office.
The hanging light and the framed fabric swatch are so beautiful! ❤️
Ahh thank you so so much!
I really like your new office. A plant or two at the window would be a nice touch. Keep up the good work.
I love this remake; your bedroom suite with the adjoining office nook is gorgeous! This video gave me so many take aways for my own space!!!
