Thanks, I have a 2005 Cadillac CTS and the trunk button on the door works, you can hear it clicking, but the trunk for whatever reason would not release. (Maybe the actuator is malfunctioning) I knew there was a trunk release latch in the trunk, but I just didn't know where. It's exactly where you showed in the video and this helped me get my trunk open so I could swap out my driver side tail light. Huge thanks for posting this video!

Can also power it up by getting under the hood and connecting a jumper box or cables to the auxiliary terminal located there.

I used the key to unlock the drivers door. I then reached the lock on the rear door from the front seat, to unlock it.
