Thanks, I have a 2005 Cadillac CTS and the trunk button on the door works, you can hear it clicking, but the trunk for whatever reason would not release. (Maybe the actuator is malfunctioning) I knew there was a trunk release latch in the trunk, but I just didn't know where. It's exactly where you showed in the video and this helped me get my trunk open so I could swap out my driver side tail light. Huge thanks for posting this video!

The idea that “bloop” the alternator just falls out when the front bolts are removed is just wrong unless Toyota changed it for the 2018 model year. The bracket that holds the rear of the alternator is the hardest part of this job and every video I have seen has just glossed over that part. Not a good placement on Toyotas part but it is a necessary piece in installing a new one and having it stay in place under normal operation.

My spark plug tubes have oil in them. My number one tube was the worst. I’m thinking spark plug tube seals but it doesn’t have any. Do you suppose oil is working it’s way up from the combustion chamber? Wouldn’t think it could blow up like that plus get past all those threads. Odd
