I don’t even own 1 coin yet I love watching your videos 😂 would love to buy a silver coin but the fact they cost £35 to buy yet are only worth £25 melts my head. Love watching the videos and the beauty in these coins
I personally believe bullion silver is a bad investment in Europe. Also we dont have the bartering culture here that the Americans do. You're on fire mate lately pumping out videos everyday!
I like silver but it should have done better esecpially when you see how gold has kicked on. I think deciding to retire and just winding things down has been a positive on my mental state - I enjoy putting content out but when I was working a lot I started to resent it because it was something i didnt have time for. :)
great video thanks for sharing. after making loads of mistakes... only thing silver is good for is flipping to buy more gold. PS another weakness of silver semi-numismatic is that if you need to exit in hurry you lose £££££'s. With gold coins of the realm bullion you can normally make close to spot .
Interesting video. I think that's the conundrum - sell at a loss, but hopefully make the money back on a different investment. I'm holding as, according to The Spreadsheet, I'm now close to a profit on my silver at ~£26/oz (even though it's semi-numi, I only ever value at spot price). Gold coins and bars have been much more profitable for me - almost from day one - even my 1g bars are showing a profit, despite the high premiums. I stopped buying silver about 18 months or so ago, apart from numismatic-value coins, that happen to contain silver. My other investments have *significantly* outperformed my gold and silver. Good video and do keep them coming please!
Always good to be honest about your Ls. I struggle to be honest even with myself about them! Long hold they might turn into a W anyway or sell and invest in something better. Always a dilemma!
@@shaunoliver1703 I agree, I'm on social security, so is my wife. We budget everything, pay a mortgage, everything is budget wise against us, yet people always have money for what they want. In the past I have bought land for silver, family is growing, need more land.....
I think investing should cover all bases - I also think there is nothing wrong with buying something because you like it. I find that silver polarises people.
You Sir are displaying a collective and not a stack. Some, to some, beautiful coins that will be their worth beyond your lifetime. I have stacked for profit and collected for my children.
I have never been induced to purchase coloured silver ounces. With that said I have just bought the set of the 2024 set of Dragons Perth Mint. Each one is intricately beautiful. I will have pleasure holding and owning them, the rest is stack, apart from the others, lol.
I should have been clearer on that - Certain countries had a reduced rate compared to other companies which allowed for a healthier collector market :) Thats me being sloppy.

I can watch your videos all day. Truly educational content. Best precious metals content on UA-cam.
I appreciate your kind words. :)

This is something I didnt touch on. Semi numi has its place but get it wrong and you will lose your fingers if bought badly.

You can't build a house built on sand.

Fan favourite.
Even at theses prices, I'm still buying silver
up and down in an upward motion over time. :)

Your wins far outweigh your losses.Have couple hundred oz of Perth mint stuff semi numi myself.
This is true - I typically bury losses on the good months. Perth mint make some amazing coins.
Not your fault, Shaun. Anyone would've thought silver spot would've improved over the last 4 years but it's still underforming badly at around £21/oz.
Gold bugs see right thru silver. So not everyone believes in silver and there are people who never liked it or believed in it like me
I think it has underperformed. That is why you diversify your investments though. Its a shame.

Great video!
Glad you enjoyed it.

Id go for hybrid personally. There is some real beautiful coins on the market.

Nice one 👍
Thank you! Cheers!

I think swan will sell well just give it a time
Its a weird coin - when they came out I remember them being hot property - can't fault the design.
What is a quid worth?

Europe has VAT as well. But you knew that

@@shaunoliver1703Estonia is now more expensive for silver. That stopped in 2022.
@@noodlyappendage6729 I guess they wised up to it after all.
Win some lose some, that’s the way the cookie crumbles,we’ve all been there unfortunately 😒
This is why diversification is key to any investment. I am not too annoyed as I take losses every month.
Looks like the Perth Mint is showing much better returns
They make quality coins.
Like star wars
Best coin was the grogu
Buy close to melt as possible
tbh the market is complex - I buy all sorts for all different premiums. My job is to make a spread and sometimes I get it wrong :)
