If you own a Mazda keep this in mind next time you hop in your car and remember this seemly obscure comment on a shortcircuit video.
That was something my salesman had pointed out that didn't really set in till after a few years of ownership and driving other vehicles more regularly. The control knob cluster is in such a natural position if your arm is resting on the center console, it makes it so easy to navigate menus change settings etc while driving. Only thing that sucks is if you have a large bottle or cup in the cup holder having to crane your hand over top of it/them to access the knob can be a bit of pain lol.

Also came to say savagegeese. Despite their name, they are one of the most comprehensive, well produced auto review channels. They cover the tech well & do a better job of reviewing the merits of the car better than any of the tech channels
I’ve only heard two things about the Miata. 1. It handles FUCKING AMAZINGLY!! It’s the most small, nimble, maneuverable, and responsive car on the road. 2. The Spec Miata class in the Sports Car Club of America has the lowest barrier to entry, and is therefore the worst because nobody knows what they’re doing. It’s the class where people are surprised when there ISN’T a big crash.
Spec Miata racing is a HOOT to watch dude. Highly recommend watching a race or two in your free time. Because everyones in the same car and no one knows what the hell is happening, you get some super close racing.
@@Clue.le22 I crew for the 2-time reigning H-Production Runoffs champion. I’ve seen it. I had a front row seat to watch that one guy break both of his legs at the 2022 June sprints.
It’s not the most small, nimble, maneuverable, and responsive car on the road. *THE LOTUS ELISE EXISTS AND DOES ALL OF THAT BETTER* I implore you to drive an S2 Elise, the Miata is basically a Ford Focus compared to that. I mean that as literally as possible.
@@scubarubanzaii I’ve never driven either, I just know that everyone raves about the Miata’s handling. The most maneuverable car I’ve ever personally driven is my 1986 Volkswagen Golf GTi Mk2 Autocross build. 100%. Even in video games, the slower well handling cars are the most fun to drive, the fast cars in a straight line are great sure; but in corners you're always trying to contain it rather than just enjoying it.

I got bumped up to a soft top MX5 at Enterprise once and had a week with it. I had to strategically use the whole trunk volume and passenger seat/well to huck all my work stuff into, but I had an absolute blast. I was all over the state that week, but my favorite was when I headed to a town over an hour away from the freeway, 55mph on gentle rolling hills with a bright sunny day the whole way there and back. It. Was. GLORIOUS.
Yep, that's the Miata : perfect. You don't get a MX5 for the practicability, or the perforances. You get it because it's beautiful, reliable, well made, so fun to drive, handles so great, lightweight, efficient, cute, and the community it great.
It took me forever to figure out why I hated those putty colors cars are coming in these days. Then I figured it out - It's the same colors we've been using in public restrooms for at least 50 years.
I saw a video on this, not sure where, but the new colours are more than just colours - they’re a type of paint called “nmcp” or non metallic chip paint - it doesn’t have the shimmer or depth of “old style” car paint that has metallic chips throughout, it makes it look 2d in a weird way- very off putting
2015 ND owner here, i daily this car and makes my commuting a joy! even on rough days i know i always have my Miata cheering me up, better than any psychologist!!!
I have to agree with Don here. I daily my ND3 and it's just so good at getting around. It's reasonably quick, easy to park, and efficient as hell. It's also make for a phenomenal canyon car. The most fun I've ever had in a car.
There is a review on Floatplane for it as part of Dan Week (occasionally they do a week dedicated to an employee on Floatplane and release a series of videos about them).
Dan showed it off a bit on Floatplane. Sometimes he puts pictures of it on Twitter. Linus thinks it's a death-trap especially since the roll-bar is too low - Dan's head will prevent it getting scuffed if it gets in a roll. Dan says it's great fun to drive.
I was confused for a second, because I drive a red Soul. But my red is Inferno Red, and personally, I prefer that. Much brighter. I'm sick of all these darker variants. Give me bright yellows, reds, and greens.
I have a Soul Red ND. It looks awesome. It also scratches, chips, and contaminates incredibly easy and loses luster very quickly. Every time it needs a wash, you need to hand wash it twice to get it looking shiny again, for it to be dull except when wet or in direct sunlight a week later. And God, don't look at the front end too hard, because you'll see the fight it lost to the road all over the place, and there's nothing you can do about it if you didn't get protection over the paint. I have no regrets, but it's definitely not easy to keep nice or in good condition.
@@FourrierMyep and apparently it chips much more easily than the other color options. I don't know why exactly but it's apparently a known issue. The Miata is just an amazing car. I bought a 1993 NA when I turned 18 and I couldn't have made a better choice. Having an old (and easy to work on) rear wheel drive fun car is such a good way to really get a feel for driving, and working on cars. Also doing mods on the car together with friends is an amazing activity and helped my grow my social circle. This car learned me how to install everything from a turbo, to coilovers, new seats and how to install and tune a standalone ecu. Couldn't have been happier.
@@bazasgruntashe said he liked having an “old car” which means he did not get it in 1993. For all we know he is 19 and bought his 93 Miata last year when he turned 18.
I went much older than that for my first car with a 1966, but I feel you. There's so much room in my engine bay. The car was built to accommodate a 400 cubic inch big block V8 but mine has a 330 cubic inch small block V8. There's a foot on all sides of the engine except from top and bottom, everything is easy to get to. It's not as "refined" looking as a modern engine bay with all the plastic shrouds and noise dampeners, but everything is accessible. It has a two speed automatic transmission, not as simple as a manual but still reliable (GM 2 speeds had a reputation for being immortal) and still maintains a bit of fun factor because car designers back then were wizards when it came to gearing. It handles well for a car its age, has plenty of power, and now that I've mostly restored it, is pretty reliable. I'd love to put a limited slip differential in it, though. That would complete its conversion from obsolete grocery getter to weekend fun car and occasional daily driver. Have to do my research on that, though, I want to keep the factory gear ratios if possible since I plan on keeping the factory engine and transmission.
I love how the windows rolled themselves down when you closed the roof. Small touches like that really shows how much effort they put in to make a good product.
I've had the same Miata (more or less) since 1997, I would not want to daily it. It's great in summer, but it's a lousy off roader, and I prefer not to drive it in the winter, I'm happy to take it out on sunny winter days, but it's not as much fun slogging up the freeway in traffic in the rain and snow.
@@fantabuloussnuffaluffagus I have now used my MX-5 daily for two years in Norway. Yes in winter. When you have good winter tires. For daily use good it nice.
Miata Is Always The Answer I have a 2021 MX5-RF. It is the single best car I have ever driven, even with the small 1.5 litre engine we get over here in Europe. This summer I did a roadtrip through Czechia and it has been the best vacation I've ever had. Man, I love this car.
Been driving an ND2 for the past 5 years+, 110'000km+, the RF version (retractable roof), in Switzerland's four seasons (including snow). It is an absolute pleasure, even on the snow (but add 50kg in the trunk if you want any grip).
I have the 2022 RF in Poland as my daily. It's an absolute joy to drive. Too bad the EU killed the 2.0l engine in the 2024 model year, so whoever missed out on previous models will not get the full experience this beauty offers. As Jeremy Clarkson said about this car: "It’s a cure for depression, this car, it really is. You just can’t be in a bad mood when you’re driving it.", I stand by his words.
@@kacperfleszar9623guess what. You don’t have any less fun with the 1.5L engine 😂 Some people like me even prefer it, since you have to give it even more and the engine is a little more responsive (because of the smaller displacement).
@@Danje1-MX5 I've test driven the 1.5l, it's severely underwhelming compared to my 2.0l. Sure, you don't need that much power when cornering, which is what this car is made for, but when overtaking you need as much power as you can get to spend the least amount of time on the oncoming lane. Giving it 50 PS less simply makes overtaking dangerous. I don't know where you live, but where I live there are a lot of twisty mountain roads with not a lot of straights to overtake, so when the opportunity to do it does present itself I have to utilize it to the full extent to do it quickly and safely. And why overtake? Well you can't have fun in the corners when you're stuck behind someone who can't corner as well as the MX-5 can.
There's a lot of nerdy engineering for weight savings in this car. They called it the gram strategy. The mirror has a gram shaved off. The window glass has holes drilled in it on areas you can't see (like in the door) to save weight without compromising capability. The seat rails are also slanted upwards towards the front to reduce the need for height adjustment in the seats.
The only thing you need to know about Miatas, is that they have their own class in racing, just because of how well they handle and keep the speed through the corners, given the weight and power. It's a VERY fun car to drive on the circuit or windy roads.
The dial is the best part of their infotainment system! Just takes a bit to get used to it but it's way better than leaning over to touch things. You can navigate pretty quickly with it, but there's a "safety pause" every so often that's frustrating. No Mazda, I'm using the dial now because I know it's safe to do so, so let me pick my song!
I commuted daily in a ND1, then ND2. Great gas milage and a grin on your face when you get to work. To daily it, you do still need access to another car in the family for the occasional time you really need more space. However, the trunk can fit a full shopping cart run. And even in traffic it is fun to be in. Mine is an RF, and being in snow country, keeps the top closed for months at time with snow tires on it.
The Japanese automakers just have some of the best lane assist. All the American cars I've been in, I've turned the lane assist off because their systems are constantly fighting with the driver about being in the center of the lane. Every Japanese car I've driven in only cares about you actually being in the lane and doesn't care where you are.
Using the dial for AA isn't dangerous at all, it's actually safer. Mazda retooled AA (and I assume CP) to work with the dial and it's pretty intuitive how to navigate around with it. Once you get used ot it it's actually much easier to change thing without taking your eyes off the road and trying to hover your hand in the air to poke the right small button. I have a Mazda 3 with the same setup and now when I drive other cars with touchscreens I feel super unsafe trying to change stations or mess with maps.
6:19 Wow, I completely disagree. I have the newer knob so maybe the experience is better. But I have so many muscle memory movements built into how many clicks to get where I want to go on CarPlay that it’s barely a distraction. I think a touchscreen is way more distracting. I think this is a shortsighted comment based on your limited time with the car.
How is it that even Alex fell into the "needs a touchscreen" trap?!? NO. Just. No. Mazda did it right the first time. BIG clicky dial for moving around the UI, separate smaller clicky volume and power knob. It's simple, it works, and you learn the muscle memory in 30 minutes. Same with the AC controls. Big, simple dials. Make the design and materials feel nice, but keep what works. The Miata way should NEVER change. As you said, it is still the perfect driver's car as well as the perfect beginner car. How many other cars can a beginner and a pro driver can have equal amounts of fun in at the same time?
Typing in destinations on a map is absolutely easier on a touch screen. The only other non frustrating way of doing that is just pulling out your phone and typing it there. AC controls and stuff should absolutely still be dials and buttons though.
@@enderduck4253 Yes, but you're not typing while driving, are you? You are doing things like changing map view, or changing the music. You type your destination before you leave! The fuss was about the touchscreen while driving feature. By default the touchscreen is disabled when the car is in motion, and comes back on when you're stationary. That's when you do things like type on the screen, not while you drive
If it doesn't work well with android / Apple solutions, then it's irrelevant for 99% of people. Google Maps / Apple Maps are not designed to work with a dial and Mazda can do nothing to fix that.
@@supernenechi THIS THIS THIS. I'm not using the damn thing when I'm moving. All you really need when moving is play, pause, next/previous, and a Bluetooth mic for voice control. It's more than good enough these days with bare Android Auto. No touchscreen necessary WHILE MOVING. Like I said. Mazda got it right the first time.
@@GeekProdigyGuy it's a forced shift in driver behavior back to D R I V I N G. This car is very purposeful. There is no excess. Like Alex said: minimum viable power. Most valuable player. AND minimum viable product. All in one. That's what the Miata is, and always has been.
So cool to see Alex in an MX-5. My first car was an NA, my second car was also an NA from 1989 (one of the first built), and now I drive an NC because I wanted a bit more comfort. I've driven it on the track (Zandvoort), drifted with it, driven through snow, took it on the Nürburgring, and it's my daily driver to work. Many people see the MX-5 as a toy, but those who know understand that an MX-5 is actually a race car for the street. You learn how to steer, how weight shifts, and 50/50 weight distribution is rare, especially with low weight, a front-engine, and rear-wheel drive. With semi-slicks, upgraded suspension, and brakes, you’re faster than M5s. Of course, it’s not about power or 0-100 times, but a product so well thought out for those looking for a real car doesn’t need to be searched for any further. You can channel your inner Keiichi Tsuchiya or the new Max Verstappen, and the best part is it won’t let you down because they’re just as reliable as a Honda. One issue, once you have one getting a other or second car becomes very hard, because you always compare it to the mx5... Pretty sure it's going to be a Mazda3.
I own a 2006 NC1... honestly I love it. NC gets a lot of hate but was the first with the 2.0L engine, sharper handling with upgraded suspension, and a stiffer chassis, all while keeping that lightweight, tossable Miata feel. Plus, it’s the first to offer the power retractable hardtop, so you get the best of both worlds-open-top fun and hardtop practicality. It’s also got great tuning potential, with tons of aftermarket support. It's not the best choice for the track because of the added weight but has been my favorite to drive.
3:47 for info I'm 1m86 (~6'1") and I fit, but only with the top down. My head rubs the roof. It was a very sad day at the Mazda dealership when I found that out. 😢
I actually like those "putty a$$" paint colors, though admittedly I don't see many new cars around where I am so I probably just haven't been worn out on it yet.
I'm with you on that. I can do the rough conversion in my head but the lack of consideration for those of us in the rest of the world that uses sensible units...
I always use the wheel in my Mazda with Android Auto and it REALLY GREAT, much safer than touching the screen, you just have to get used to this and I can't use touch controls on my other car 😂
@@mezzb yep, but it's really sad that Mazda taking those hits for nothing and reviewers are too lazy to understand that this way is better and safer for real owners! Just today I saw new Audi Q5 without any buttons and it makes me really sad. I have nothing to buy when time will come to replace my CX9 (

Whoa, Dan's got a Cappuccino?? We need a video on the LTT staff's cars. I feel like so many people in IT and tech are car people. I remember a Donut video a while back where they were guessing who owned what car, as soon as I saw a Miata and the one person said they were in IT, I told myself I'd bet my house on it being that guy and of course he was it. I'm also a person with a background in IT and an NA Miata and now a '71 Datsun 240z
For the dial, honestly you get used to it and then it's safer than a touchscreen. You can use it without looking at the screen which is definitely a plus.
I traded a 3 with the control wheel for a Civic, I miss the control wheel constantly, touchscreens suck for daily use, entering an address on the nav is the only time they are better. So they're worse 90-99% of the time but everyone wants touchscreen for some reason, why?
As a person who has driven a Mazda for years now and also worked at a Mazda dealership, the dial can be dangerous at first but once you get used to it it’s amazing. I love being able to control CarPlay while with one hand and actually look at the road instead of a screen. Plus if you get used to it in one Mazda I don’t believe it’s different for any other models. 5:52
As a long-time ND1 RF owner, I have a couple of insights. The hard top really does make the car feel less floppy, so I highly recommend it if you can afford it. Plus, you know, just look at it. I also recommend the Bilsteins (or an aftermarket) over the standard suspension. The body roll is not egregious and you can get used to it, but it was a lot more than I was expecting. There is no cabin air filter but there is an aftermarket one you can install. Kind of a pain to install and replace, but it does make a difference. GET A SET OF WINTER TIRES IF YOU ARE GOING TO DRIVE IN TEMPERATURES LESS THAN 40°F (5°C). I daily drive mine and have no problem whatsoever, but I'm only 5'9” and still have good knees, back, etc.
As a single person the Miata is the car. Ive daily driven my 1990 for over 4 years now and have loved every minute of it. Its the kind of car, where ill find myself just nonchalantly cruising down some back road, then all of the sudden i get that urge to downshift and floor the next turn, come out of the turn, heart racing, tires at the edge of grip, then proceed to cruising nonchalantly down the road. I just get those urges to get the car a lil squirrely. Also im glad to hear youre aware of the Boat Captains not waving back.
As the owner of a pristine NA Miata, keep dreamin' Junior! Haha I feel so incredibly lucky to have been able to buy it back in 2016 when they were at essentially their lowest price. I spent $3800 US on mine back then. And then spent another $1400 getting it repainted the following year. But everything on it works! A/C, cruise control, etc. I'm proud of it.
We have a lowered 2000 Celica. Such a fun car… although it needs fixed (rust has caused the exhaust to sit half an inch from the pavement. Also, we have fit 4 people in it. Can fit plenty in the back, has a spare tire, and absurdly fun to drive. We live in the country and can take back roads where we need. Absolutely love that car… too bad the previous owner didn’t take care of it.
Of course they do! It's Mazda after all! If any brand still makes good cars these days, it's definitely Mazda! (and otherwise Japanese brands usually got you covered! They care about quality for the customer, a rarity these days)
It's the world's best-selling sports car to date. Mazda should not, and probably never will, stop making the miata. I love my NC miata and will always love the miata.
As a longtime NB owner, I watched this as much to hear your thoughts as to support you branching away from EVs and into cars that bring passion and soul to the driving experience. Thank you for sharing your perspective. While not without its warts, the Miata is as close to a true driving experience as we can get, and a Miata gives most of that experience without needing a track or hooliganism on public roads.
M-iata I-s A-lways T-he A-nswer You can get drop in LS kits for Miatas. The LS only adds about 200 lbs, and because you have to swap the trans and rear end, it actually keeps the 50/50 balance of the car (assuming you get an aluminum block LS). So 350HP minimum with an LS1, and up to 505 with an LS7 (good luck finding one though) makes the Miata a serious performer.
Alex, PLEASE take out a CX-30 or a 3 Turbo ... I'd love to hear what you have to say about either as I find we have very similar pros and cons with most of the cars you (and I) drive (I test-drive vehicles for a living, but only certain brands, not including Mazda). I also love that fact that we have the same body builds, so I know exactly how things will 'fit' when you show off a vehicle.
I have driven a 2020 ND2 soft top in Polymetal Gray for the past 4 years in Spokane WA. It does great in the snow with the LSD and a set of proper winter tires!
My dream car ! I have a sakura special edition and it's just incredible ! Also, you have more space behind the seats, there's a little trapdoor that you can pop out. It's a like a secret compartment. Super video !
The "weird" door design is about meeting side impact protection standards. The side impact door bar(s) will over lap the B pillar to help keep the door from folding inwards in a bad side impact.
Always takes me off guard when I see car content on these channels. I’d love to know the processes behind choosing if or what car is featured or if it’s mostly just opportunistic featuring some cars you guys have access to. I’d also really like to see a video on Alex’s stereo, I’ve seen snippets but never a full feature.
Thanks for mentioning the color. I lived through the "everything needs to be in silver" 2000s and I was hoping we'd get back to getting cars in colors, but now everything's... gray... and muted. Boring. Mazda has their gorgeous deep red - why not use that?! Or bright blue? Anything other than the "we forgot to paint the primer" gray. Great car, one of the last few analogue-ish light cars that is not overburdened with tech.
Hey there’s storage BEHIND the seats!! There are 2 hidden doors. You need to bring the seats forward to access those two compartments. Please add this to the video! I keep my insurance information and first aid kit there.
I drove one of those in the late 2000s-early 2010s and I think it was the most fun cars I've ever driven simply for the gear shift alone! They are awesome!
I have been daily driving an NA Miata for 3 years now and despite the car being 32 years old, it's as reliable as you can get for a Mazda. Yeah, it had its downs, but, original transmission, original engine, love my Miata so so so much.
Just wanna add something as an ND1 owner. A few times, Alex mentions the 2.0L engine is the "minimum viable package", and I absolutely disagree. As he said, the car's not here for straight line drag race, it exists to be fun in corners, on smaller roads, and to that effect, the 1.5L, 130ish HP engine is just perfect. It does have the kick of the 2.0L, but it's enough, it revs to well over 7000rpm and lets you get a superbe car for quite a bit cheaper than the more powerful version. Also, as a single dude (loser is the technical term), it's daily drivable 95% of the time, and I would hate to not have bought that car just for that 5% of the time when I'd need extra seat or trunk space.
I have a JDM 1.6 NB, and my dad has a 30AE ND miata, and theyre both so much fun, but also, when you take them to the track, theyre both pretty quick, the ND is a similar speed in autocross to a corvette c6
I was rent this car in Japan. I am 5.5 tall and i love this little car, It fit me just like it was born for me. the dial is just fine (for my short hand) the bad thing is i can only change the seat position a little, and lack of storage space. (i bring a camera bag and a 22inch luggage and they nearly fill up the trunk)
Mazda tech here, the number one factor on why all Mazda's are extremely comfortable is the fact that the position of the dead pedal and the gas pedal are specifically designed to be shoulder width apart maintaining your body's natural neutral position, combined with the setting of infotainment controls you never have to reach over or torque your body out of your neutral position to control the radio/screen. That was something my salesman had pointed out that didn't really set in till after a few years of ownership and driving other vehicles more regularly.

I got bumped up to a soft top MX5 at Enterprise once and had a week with it. I had to strategically use the whole trunk volume and passenger seat/well to huck all my work stuff into, but I had an absolute blast. Problème with soul red is if any part need to be repainted, it will be difficult to match exactly the colors
I was confused for a second, because I drive a red Soul.
But my red is Inferno Red, and personally, I prefer that. Much brighter. I'm sick of all these darker variants. Give me bright yellows, reds, and greens.
Every car sgould be in soul red crystal
I have a Soul Red ND. It looks awesome. It also scratches, chips, and contaminates incredibly easy and loses luster very quickly. Every time it needs a wash, you need to hand wash it twice to get it looking shiny again, for it to be dull except when wet or in direct sunlight a week later. And God, don't look at the front end too hard, because you'll see the fight it lost to the road all over the place, and there's nothing you can do about it if you didn't get protection over the paint. Couldn't have been happier.
damn youre old
The real question is... how tall are you
@@bazasgruntashe said he liked having an “old car” which means he did not get it in 1993. For all we know he is 19 and bought his 93 Miata last year when he turned 18.
What ECU do you have? Megasquirt?

@@kacperfleszar9623 I live in Germany and have 0 problems with overtaking 😅
There's a lot of nerdy engineering for weight savings in this car. They called it the gram strategy. The mirror has a gram shaved off. The window glass has holes drilled in it on areas you can't see (like in the door) to save weight without compromising capability.
The seat rails are also slanted upwards towards the front to reduce the need for height adjustment in the seats.
The only thing you need to know about Miatas, is that they have their own class in racing, just because of how well they handle and keep the speed through the corners, given the weight and power. It's a VERY fun car to drive on the circuit or windy roads.
Dan having a Cappuccino is yet another reason why he is the best LTT employee.
This! I love the dial!! Can’t say I’ve had the safety pause happen to me…
I went from an NB mx5 to the new Mazda3 and the dial is amazing, i hate all the touchscreens in cars these days - this just works

The dial is great. So much less of a distraction than a touch screen after you build up some muscle memory

Behind each seat is a panel that you can pull open and has a bit of extra storage.
11:58 That "the stick is RIGHT IN THE TRANSMISSION" feel is something I really like about my Sierra too. =)
Dan has a Cappuccino? No waaaay!
I've had my NA miata since 2020 and absolutely LOVE it. I think would be fun if Alex got an NA and did some mods on one of the LTT channels

17:05 no love for the happiest miata? But from my experience, ND drivers are the only ones that more than likely wont wave back.
You can get drop in LS kits for Miatas.

8:03 so Mazda Canada doesn't pronounce it like you would the original Japanese spelling/pronunciation of Matsuda pronounced Mah-Tsu-Dah?
MAZDAAAAAA
I’ve had my 24 RF GT for about 6 weeks now… done 5,600Km and loved every single one of them
we need more PHONK music on 0:32 timing
I have driven a 2020 ND2 soft top in Polymetal Gray for the past 4 years in Spokane WA. It does great in the snow with the LSD and a set of proper winter tires!
My dream car ! I have a sakura special edition and it's just incredible ! Also, you have more space behind the seats, there's a little trapdoor that you can pop out. It's a like a secret compartment. Super video !
Miata is ALWAYS the answer!
(I may be biased as I've owned a couple and a 2011NC PRHT is my daily driver 😉👍)
These videos are so much better than mkbhds car videos. This type of video is up there with Emily talking about FOSS.
2:23 I actually have mobility issues but i make it work anyway because the Miata is just worth it, love my 2016 ND1 GT
Butt first then legs trust me brother
Low sports car is always butt in first. Dude was soooo bad with cars. Can't wait for the MKBHD review instead
"Biel steen dampers". God. My soul
This is legitimately one of the better car review channels on UA-cam. Please do more cars!
Also I don’t need more reasons to want a Miata lol
Happy to listen to you reviewing 24 Miata while cruising on my 24 Miata on my way back from work, minus the lack of radar cruising
I've dailied my ND2 since i got it like 4 years ago now. Works fantastic! When you have to haul something once a year you just borrow another car.
I have been daily driving an NA Miata for 3 years now and despite the car being 32 years old, it's as reliable as you can get for a Mazda. Yeah, it had its downs, but, original transmission, original engine, love my Miata so so so much.
Yep, we definitely need a lot more lightweight driver's cars on this channel. Especially with so many people in the office being car guys too.
I've got the best of both worlds. 2019 M3P- (aka stealth performance) and 2021 miata softtop manual w/ BBS/Brembo
I am 5.5 tall and i love this little car, It fit me just like it was born for me.
the dial is just fine (for my short hand)
the bad thing is i can only change the seat position a little, and lack of storage space.
(i bring a camera bag and a 22inch luggage and they nearly fill up the trunk)
I’ve daily driven my 2016 ND in Prince George BC since 2019. Love it every day. Even (and especially)in the snow.
"The hole can be a problem" while deadpan staring at the camera LOL
Love love love this. For the record I saw the other title saying this is the perfect second car and thumbnail I knew this was a cannot miss video
