    Well this happened because you put out the flaps. The flaps need a lot of hyd pressure. Since you turned on the engine it started providing a very low amount of hyd pressure so the flaps started moving. The PTU kicks in to help it move because the pressure is so low since the engine is spinning slowly. Hope this helps.

    Correct simulation of the hydraulic system. Since you have flaps 1 selected, the PTU is pressuring the green system since there is more than a 500 PSI difference between the green and yellow systems. As stated by @hotshot2. Furthermore, engine start sequence depends on the Operator. Reason some companies start engine 1 first would be to supply pressure to the green system which powers the normal brakes and nosewheel steering. Important items to have, especially if you plan on OET (one engine taxi). When we do this, we will turn on the yellow electric hyd pump to prevent the PTU from running due to the pressure differential.
    The reason most companies choose to start 1 first is due to the green system not having an electric pump. So, when Green is powered by ENG 1, you can then OET and the yellow elec pump can power the system. If you did it the other way as shown here, the PTU will power the green system and make a lot of noise.

      the system simulation is not bad, however I find some discrepancies. For example the PTU indication in the ECAM is not very correct, because most of the time it is shown off (auto). also it seems that both engine masters were selected on without the HP valve open (0:12). To conclude EDP managed to pressurize both systems with N2=14, unbelievable.

      @@VirtualFlightTraining I was only referencing PTU operation. There is a lot wrong procedurally and mechanically with this scenario as you mention. Which is why I choose not to use that software.

      @@VirtualFlightTrainingt that N2 and max displacement that’s already plenty of flow to pressurise the circuit if no consumer is used. Also about the ecam indication in such edge case conditions it is normal for it to show discrepancies. The ecam has no feedback from ptu and only work based on pressure switches and transducers

      @@leloginquitu what do you mean in the first phrase? i want to remember that at that moment, the engine is not self-sufficient, and from the moment it energizes, it feeds all the associated loads. for the ptu indication, on the other hand, i didn't understand what you mean

    Sounds like starting a locomotive, not a plane 😆

    • @viktorekman863
      @viktorekman863 9 місяців тому +1

      This isn't the sound of starting the plane it is the PTU which pressures the hydraulic system. In this case he had flaps on 1 which requires a ton of pressure in a plane that hasn't started the engines fully yet and hence not getting pressure from the hydraulic pumps.

    • @useHandleAccount
      @useHandleAccount 9 місяців тому

      @@viktorekman863 bruh, I know what PTU is and thank you for explaining so the others can see. PTU is not usually hard in the cockpit since it's placed somewhere in middle of the plane and flaps are usually lowered during taxi. This video was just a showcase and that was it's sole purpose. Just to clear out , this procedure doesn't happen in real life in a normal flight
