That first fish you caught was definitely pure. I think those are the most beautiful goldens I have seen in a creek. I know of one place to catch them here in a creek where I live but they don’t seem to get that big. Pretty amazing thanks for sharing !
One of my faves of your videos. I can tell that you are just in awe over Goldens. The clear highlight of my fishing life occurred when I hooked a big Golden right at dusk at an 11K' lake in the Sierras. I played the fish toward shore and as it got close, a ray of sun broke through the low clouds and lit the fish just as it rolled on the surface. After releasing that fish I just sat on the rocky shore and relived what I had just seen. That brilliant golden moment will be with me forever.
As a lifelong “Bassman”, this video is real easy to appreciate. What a gorgeous run of water and surroundings and you sir, did a fantastic job bringing us the experience. Well done. Those Goldies are quite unique. I hope that little “glade of heaven” never changes.
Okay, that was impressive. I'm glad you're trying to keep the location secret. A creek that size would easily be overwhelmed and over-pressured by crowds of fishermen. Frankly, I'm surprised someone told you about it. Glad you got to make a video but I would never "out" a creek that good, especially for a video going on the internet. I'm all about folks going out, exploring and putting in the time and work to find stuff like this. If someone shows up to any of my "secret spots" I welcome them, but I know they didn't hear about it from me. You're a lucky guy to be trusted with waters this great- keep up the good work.
Wow! I've never caught a golden or even seen one in real life! Stunning! Such brilliant colors! The flow looked really low. Yet the water sure produces! Beautiful!!! Outstanding!
I think my very first response would be a full row of exclamation points! Beyond that, I’ll just offer a very sincere thank you for sharing this amazing outing with us!
Wow, what a stream! Reminds me of a creek I was gifted in Colorado, just a little creek most would drive past without a glance, but follow it in far enough and it's Shangri La!
Love the content , helps deal the stresses of life. All I want to do is fish tenkara but the kids have soccer and lawn has to get cut . These videos help me scratch the itch . Fire content
I love that you don't share the locations where you fish. I used to fish small backcountry streams in Colorado many years ago and the adage "Loose lips crowd small streams" is very true. I used to make up names (Winding Creek was a fav) or just tell folks I couldn't remember the name. Love your channel - brings back fond memories of my younger days.
This is amazing! Those are fantastic Goldens for any moving water, but for one that is not the immediate outlet or inlet of an alpine lake, this is unreal! Congratulations!
I both hate and love this video. Hate it because I'm not the one catching those beauties, lol. Love it because how can you not? Amazing fish and another great video.
Man props to whoever tipped you off to this spot, if I had found that stream I wouldn’t tell another soul and take it to my grave 😂 those are truly the most beautiful trout in the world
Awesome! Consistently huge fish for not so huge water! That structure has my curiosity cant figure out what it is. Beautiful place! Thank you for sharing your adventures!
WOW! You are just so very, very lucky; just wish it were me. It is fifty years since I caught a golden trout in a remote Scottish loch high in the NW Highlands.
That spot is like a dream…those look like pure strain goldens to me, not unlike some photos I have seen when folks were first discovering these fish. Great video, really enjoy your channel, keep up the great work!
Those golden trout are not pure strain. Pure golden has 10 ovals along side of each side of their body they are one of the few trout that keep their ovals all the way till adulthood
Absolutely stunning fish. What is so cool is that this population has evolved to match their environment and be less visible. Look at the larger fractured rocks that make up the streambed. It also looks like their may be tannins or some mineral that is staining the water, again favoring those individuals with that coloration.
Those goldens are huge to be coming out of a creek that size! I can tell because their par marks are hardly visible. The largest golden trout I've every caught out of a small creek was only about 10". I would totally go through huge lengths to keep that creek a secret
have you tried THE SAN JUAN river worm pattern? or any worm pattern? i find they some times work better than real worms do them were BEAUTIFUL fish thank you for sharing them with us
Thank you Golden trout wilderness Tulare county California. Make sure you stop at the ranger station and get a wilderness permit. All of that area burned last year.
I have been fly fishing for awhile but just got a Dragontail 365, and yes it had a little to do with your recommendation. My question is what size tippet you are using? You are landing those pretty fast and I like that. I generally use 6X and 7X on my nice Euro rods but those have a nice reel if needed. Thank you in advance
I was just about to ask you what the prettiest fish you caught, or at least I was thinking of asking when you caught your first fish! I’d this still the case? 👏🙌🔥❤️
I was fishing there last spring. Water level was much higher making going up the stream very difficult but the fish were easier to catch. I thick I caught over 20 goldens.
Thanks for watching! Be sure to give this video a like if you enjoyed it 👍

11k’ lake?
@@hughmungus2946 Yes. Right near the Sierra Crest. 21 mi in when approached from the west.
@@jfowler7604 the deepest lake in the world is 5k’ so do u mean 1k?
@@hughmungus2946 11K above sea level.
This is the video that convinced me to 1. Take up Tenkara. 2. Buy the Zen Suzume and 3. Finally begin my motorcycle camping journey. Thanks Tristen 👊🏼
Good for you on all 3 counts! Especially the last of the three!
As a lifelong “Bassman”, this video is real easy to appreciate. What a gorgeous run of water and surroundings and you sir, did a fantastic job bringing us the experience. Well done. Those Goldies are quite unique. I hope that little “glade of heaven” never changes.

I've watched it 3 times bc it's incredible to see these gems. I'm in awe.
Gorgeous fish from a gorgeous stream! Thanks for bringing us along!
Wow! I've never caught a golden or even seen one in real life! Stunning! Such brilliant colors!
The flow looked really low. Yet the water sure produces! Beautiful!!! Outstanding!
It really was a great spot! Thanks Michael.
I've never saw golden trout as gorgeous as these. Unreal. Heaven on Earth.
Absolutely epic. I can’t wait to try Tenkara this summer on my favorite Oregon river, the Siletz.
That was amazing. Remarkable size and colors of those fish. Kudos to your viewer recommendation and to you for not giving up the location.
Pretty crazy, huh! Thanks Jim.

On my bucket list! My dad & Uncle used to catch them on the Upper Kern River by Kennedy Meadows 65 years ago.

Wow, I haven't ever seen golden that big. The largest I ever caught were 7" and I thought those were huge. Amazing! Thanks for sharing.
Bucket list fish for me. Just gorgeous, and incredible size for that water. Holy moly.
Another great video keep them comming . They make Saturday morning coffee most enjoyable

Beautiful fish!! And beautiful countryside!

Now that was my favorite video yet. Awesome!!!!!!👍😳🤦♂️🇺🇸
Another awesome video well done

Wow! Incredible color. I’m in awe, thanks to that subscriber!
WOW!! What magic moment!! Nice Job keep up with great videos very entertaining for us who leave for on the fly.
Wow ! ! Just amazing. Must get no pressure to have mature fish like those. Great job landing them. Sorry about your net. Been there. Thanks, Tristan.
Yeah, losing the net was a bummer, but the fish made up for it!
Beautiful fish and beautiful location! WOW!
GREAT VIDEO, thanks for sharing. Could you tell what is the ratio action for your ROD? 6:4, 5:5, 7:3?
Thanks in advance
Awesome creek and fish! So jealous!
It was pretty great! Thanks Steve.
This creek is where I caught my first golden trout! Same pocket at 8:40. Well done!
Nice! Beautiful little creek.
what creek??
Really beautiful crick. Awesome fish, Thanks for sharing
Oh my goodness! Nice listener! Fun video.
Best quality rare fish video.
Wow!!! What a fish, man its hard to keep somthing that pretty!!
That spot is like a dream…those look like pure strain goldens to me, not unlike some photos I have seen when folks were first discovering these fish. Great video, really enjoy your channel, keep up the great work!
It was a great spot, for sure!
Those golden trout are not pure strain. Pure golden has 10 ovals along side of each side of their body they are one of the few trout that keep their ovals all the way till adulthood
Some gorgeous trout you catch. Here in England we have only brown trout that are native wild trout.
Big fan of not disclosing location. I’ve personally seen spots get ruined cause someone wanted more likes on UA-cam. Wish everyone did what you did
this is one of your best
Wow!Wow!Wow! Speechless
I watched it again. I'm just amazed. I do believe they are pure mature Goldens. No pressure. Clean pure water. I'm amazed.
Oh! It's a beautiful fish! I'm jealous.😊
Definitely! Thanks for watching.
The remains of the gold mining dam were neat to see.
Great video. Wow, amazing fish and scenery! 👍
Excellent!..........what was the elevation there?....
That's some pretty looking trout.
Absolutely stunning fish.
What is so cool is that this population has evolved to match their environment and be less visible.
Look at the larger fractured rocks that make up the streambed. It also looks like their may be tannins or some mineral that is staining the water, again favoring those individuals with that coloration.
Love the videos.. just gotta ask … what is it that you do in order to go fishing all the time .. ?
I make travel and adventure videos >> ua-cam.com/users/SUVRVing
THAT WAS TOTALLY WICKED!!!! 💥👍👍
Have you tried loop casting in tree/brush impeded areas? It does tend to put more line on the water but has worked well for me and my clan.
Those goldens are huge to be coming out of a creek that size! I can tell because their par marks are hardly visible. The largest golden trout I've every caught out of a small creek was only about 10". I would totally go through huge lengths to keep that creek a secret
Wow this is amazing!
At a certain size Can you keep those to eat??
No Words... Awesomeness!
Thanks Dan!
Always admire your adventures. Beautiful trout. Your best fishing video I think. Bummer about loosing your net. Strange how you get attached to them.
Thanks Randy, I'm glad you liked it!
Or unattached
Przepiękne rybki 😊👍
Were the adipose clipped on some of the fish? Maybe it was just the angle you were holding them.
Epic! Gorgeous fish
They really were. Thanks Conner!
was that pool at 8min down from an old dam?
Lol you got your karma of not talking about spots almost instantly😂
Love your videos. I would love to go and fish up west. Do you ever encounter bears or cougars
I've seen a cougar only one time. I usually see bears every year.
At time 1:45 that fish was a real beauty.
I'm addicted to his channel now
That's the goal! 😄
How do you position your camera? I seem to have problems setting the angle when I use my head mount.
have you tried THE SAN JUAN river worm pattern? or any worm pattern? i find they some times work better than real worms do them were BEAUTIFUL fish thank you for sharing them with us
Looks like one of the golden spots up in the untia, Ashley national forest. have you heard about those spots?
Yes, I have a Uintas golden trout video coming up soon.
@@TenkaraAddict hell yeah happy I found your page love your video
Thank you Golden trout wilderness Tulare county California. Make sure you stop at the ranger station and get a wilderness permit. All of that area burned last year.
Wild golden trout or one of my favorite they're usually remote and they are one of the tastiest wild trout
I have been fly fishing for awhile but just got a Dragontail 365, and yes it had a little to do with your recommendation. My question is what size tippet you are using? 5x
Simultaneously wishing I knew where it was and am glad you aren’t telling us
Fawking awesome bro🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽
which size of rod you use? do you use furled leader?
Check the video description for that info 👍
I was just about to ask you what the prettiest fish you caught, or at least I was thinking of asking when you caught your first fish! I’d this still the case? 👏🙌🔥❤️
“Look at this fish it’s a twelve-incher”, love the concept but made me laugh as I live in Alaska. Nonetheless, sweet video!
Tonto Creek in Arizona where the golden trout thrive!
they sure are gorgeous
beautiful colouration, but look at the colour of the rocks and moss etc. perfectly adapted.
Those were some thick fish! What was the remains of that structure in the last spot?
“Un-Real” or better yet Un-Reel…
You hit a trout Gold Mine! This is great content!
Thanks, I'm glad you liked it!
a gold mine of goldens
Really well done video! I have enjoyed watching your vid’s. Keep it up. We should trade creeks sometime
Incredible!
Days you never forget..
Fun stuff~
Awesome video!
Thanks!
Finding pools is just as much fun as landing bites, to me anyway.
Nice stocker
Can you show your flies the next time you use a ride and fishing string, would be nice to see what you catch the fish with.
I was fishing there last spring. Water level was much higher making going up the stream very difficult but the fish were easier to catch. I thick I caught over 20 goldens.
Awesome! It's a gorgeous little stream, isn't it?
Beautifully 👍👍👍
This video has convinced me to put a tracking device on you vehicle 😂
Lol!
