Wow, the perfect size stream with the perfect-size-for-tenkara trout, and right by a roadway - that’s got to be the trifecta for “senior friendly” fisheries (yep, my demographic). Many thanks for this dream stream!
You took the words out of my mouth -- it doesn't get much better than that. A beautiful, nicely scaled and crystal clear creek full of rocks and pockets, a superb rod; cooperative, healthy, and hungry trout, and an easy stroll back to the car. Loved to see the browns, didn't know how prevalent they are in your region. A most enjoyable video. Thanks Tristan!
Thanks again for bringing us along Tristan! Awesome video and we really enjoy your positivity and fun loving, adventurous spirit. I always enjoy how you cover the pockets and holding areas too. There's so much to be learned from fishing that way!! Cheers and thank you again!!
Yeah, I find waders wholly unnecessary in the summertime. Shorts and trail running shoes work great. Also have a pair of neoprene socks if the stream is a little bigger like that one, and I think I'm going to be standing in the water more.
At the risk of being a busybody...From experience, I can tell you that a lightweight plastic pickup tool is a must for arthritic senior citizens. If it isn't too unwieldy to carry, it might come in handy retrieving 'mistakes' from trees and underbrush.
Yep, it's a little dual sport (Yamaha XT250) I recently picked up. It's been a lot of fun! I'd definitely like to do some moto-fishing videos in the future.
@@bigchief4044 Flyfishing style for trout in "trout areas" (set by our state, usually upper parts of rivers) is defined as fishing with a flyfishing rod, flyfishing reel, line etc. So you must have a reel, otherwise it is a forbidden style. But you can use tenkare in no trout areas.
I've watched you on several occasions waste time fishing super skinny water and hook fingerings and then finish your segment when the best looking water is just ahead. Maybe concentrate on the deeper pools and move through the skinny stuff. The better fish command the better pools. The thrill for me is the not knowing what's hiding in these deeper areas . There is no anticipation in skinny water. when you hook a trout it invariably goes airborne and fish can get damaged this way. It's just something to think about for next time 😊
I get a kick out of catching the fish wherever they are. It's enjoyable for me to figure out where the fish are hiding on a given creek. If I were into only catching big fish, I wouldn't be fishing tenkara on small mountain creeks!
Some of the best memories of my fishing days have come from little roadside creeks that no one ever stops at.

See you buddy 😊 bring smile to my face when you tell the fish when you let it go 😊
😁
Reminds me of my home ground in the Adirondacks. Amazing fishing and endless possibilities. Fish on my friend.

Sometimes the best spots are right in front of our face, huh? Cool video! Neil.
What a beautiful little creek & holding some quality fish.
Once again very enjoyable
Love Saturdays, great adventures on the main channel and awesome trout fishing on TA!!
It's always a good day when I get to send a new video out into the world 😄
I love Idaho. I moved here in 1991. In summer I put on old sneakers and walk the rivers and streams. Life is good. 😅
This is in Wyoming, but Idaho is great too 😄
@@SUVRVing Wyoming has fish? 😂
Pretty stream and some real nice chunky brookies !Also the brown trout surprise catch too great !

Beautiful. Nice job!
Another year of tenkara almost finished! Your videos are extra welcome in Tom's absence. thanks for uploading
I didn't realize he'd stopped uploading. I just checked out his interlude video. Sad!
Love to see you catching fish you get very excited about it 😊
It never gets old!
Thanks again always look forward to your adventures on small creeks and this was one Quality beside a road amazing!!
Lovely, with surprise 'big' brownies. I didn't notice any road noise, either. Sweet.
Yeah, it wasn't too bad. Not a ton of traffic on that road, and the sounds of the creek itself helped drown out the road noise.

Great video Tristan
Thanks!
Nice job!
Unless I just missed it, I didn't see the link for the socks.
Let’s gooooo
🥳
Are they roadside creeks or creek side roads?
Man , some nice fish in that small crick , is that your dirt bike , take that back country to find fish for a video 😀👍

Do passing motorists stop and throw fish food to these puppies? Is that why they're so well fed?
I just snapped my tenkara,do you know any fixes for it?
Gotta order a replacement section. Which rod is it?
@@TenkaraAddict it's the Wetfly kodomo 8'
Call or email the Company or Manufacturer, and just order a new replacement piece, hopefully you can get one
What is the biggest trout you've caught on your tenkara rods?
18 inches
@@TenkaraAddict 18 inches, NICE
Those are some fat fish
nice videos, thank you, unfortunatelly tenkara is forbidden in Slovakia, I love small creeks as you do
Well that sucks
Ok …. I’m curious.
Why is Tenkara forbidden in Slovakia?
It’s basically just a stick, string and hook.

That sucks! I'm sorry to hear that. Hopefully that will change for you at some point.
