One important thing to remember about AJ is that she own the rights to everythong she sings. She refused to sign for a record deal through AGT and they relented and invited her to sing anyway. She began singing at 18 months and due to her grandmothers influence, she was drawn to and fell in love with jazz and blues music. She has been arranging most if not all of her music performances since she was 8 yeats old. Currently in 2022 she still performs barefoot, sews her own clothes, (the cloth is designed by her grandmother) and she stands 6 feet tall at 15 yeats old! We all hope to enjoy her performances for many years to come. BTW I'm 80 and have been involved privately in music since age 7.
Everyone noticed the girl with her dropped jaw, but the other 2 are fighting back tears. They are more representative of her singing. She connects on an emotional level. Her first appearance in Norways challenge had the judges fighting back tears.

Angelina Jordan does not try to be emotional when she sings, she just IS. Angelina is a true music prodigy but the only one I know of who specializes in vocals. Blessed with the warmest, most welcoming tone in my lifetime, Angelina is the only vocalist to ever make me cry. Emotion from the universe is far greater than from human life experience.

Oh...lol. It's me again. I hear you're talking about the strength that she has in her voice. You have no idea just HOW strong her voice is, but her preferred genre(s) don't really push is very often. But it's there all right. She has like 130 covers out there, and one of them is "I have nothing" by Whitney Houston. In that one (and most of her other covers) she is also 13 years old. Listen to that one, just to get an impression of her range, and then go diving into her early performances, because those are REALLY standing out, and you understand right away that we are dealing with a prodigy in the purest meaning of the word. She is 15 now and has been signed by Public Records and is their main marketing focus. She writes her own music too, and have some original out. Check out "Million Miles" and "7th Heaven".
Although I understand German 100% perfectly, I pefer to write in English, as this probably produces less errors.

You have fallen into the vortex of Angelina Jordan who arguably brings the most confident, versatile, seemingly effortless, and fearless vocal artistry found today (whether measured across artists, genres, or decades). You may think this an exaggeration but listen to a few more of her many performances (125+ covers plus original songs - all on YT) and you will see! She has been performing at a high level all over the world since age 8 when she won Norway's Got Talent singing Billie Holiday , Nancy Sinatra , and Gershwin. It is the rare singer that can, as Angelina has done, go from Queen to "Screamin" Jay Hawkins to Adele to Elvis to Whitney Houston to Etta James to Amy Winehouse (and many others in between) and do them all justice! If you want to hear music, listen to anyone. If you want to feel music, listen to Angelina. She will stagger you with her ability to find and bring forth the 'essence', the emotional message of nearly any song. You have far to go with Angelina. She is equally comfortable and equally able to impact us whether singing a cappella, accompanied only by a piano or guitar, in front of professional studio musicians or a 40 piece military band. With her immense vocal toolkit, arranging ability (yeah, that too, since about 8yo or so) and the work ethic to make what she does only 'seem' effortless, she will hopefully be touching hearts for a long time to come. Wait until you find out why she performs barefooted. Seit 55 Jahren beschäftige ich mit Musik und habe einige Jahre in der Musik-Industrie gearbeitet. Angelinas Stimme ist unvergleichlich. Endlich mal eine deutsche Reaktion auf Angelina. Unbedingt weitermachen, sie war auch schon mal bei Gottschalk mit 10 und ein Herz für Kinder mit 8. Ihr neuestes Cover ist All i ask von Adele. Die Dynamik in ihrer Stimme ist grandios. Ja, das kann sie schon mit 15 und noch viel mehr.
Fantastisch das du auf Angelina Jordan reagiert hast! Es gibt da noch eine andere hervorragende Sängerin, die junge Russin Diana Ankudinova, die eine sehr einzigartige Stimme hat und im Alter von 14 und 15 zwei mal eine russische TV Gesangsshow (ähnlich wie The Voice etc.) gewonnen hat, sie ist jetzt 17 und nimmt gerade ihr erstes Album auf!
Rechenka, Wicked Games, Human & Derniere Danse wären so die "klassischen" Titel um Diana kennenzulernen.

Darin findest Du alles was es zu AJ zu wissen gibt. Sie ist der Mozart unter den Sängern. Gerade 15 geworden und schon eine Jazz Legende. Ihre Stimme kennt keine Genre. Du wirst es nicht bereuen, uns "Angels" ins "rabbit hole" zu folgen. Seh Dich im nächsten Video. 😁👋👏👍😃
Gratuliere zur "Entdeckung", Sie haben sehr viele Talente schon erkannt. Ich bin nun seit fast 7 Jahren süchtig nach ihrer Stimme. Sie ist ein Multitalent, nicht nur ihre Stimme, sie macht auch die Arrangements der Auftritte (Das Kleid bei dem Auftritt ist übrigens von ihrer Grossmutter (iranische Künstlerin), die ihre Muse ist. Any rendition performed by Angelina Jordan is a masterpiece, because the way she transform music to beautiful melody full of harmony, plus the softness of her tone voice, and at the same time adding the strength of her vocals in the right moment; plus her vocal fry, runs, colors, tenderness....Yes and putting all this together in the right place (and you bet she knows very well how to do it) she obtains an art piece like no one else .That is what it makes her unique, and because of this ,Angelina and Only Angelina can beat Angelina.

The outfit she wore was made from a painting by her grandmother, and shows episodes from Angelinas life, like a diary.

Angelina hat bereits mit 18 Monaten gesungen (immer aus eigenem Antrieb) und hat ihre Wurzeln im Jazz. Hört man, oder?
Das Arrangement hier hat sie selbst gemacht. Sie gibt all ihren Covern einen eigenen Stempel, allerdings niemals ohne Respekt für das Original.
Angelina hat den vollen Rückhalt ihrer Familie und tritt immer sehr bescheiden, klassisch gekleidet und ohne große „Show“ auf.

Die Verbindung zu ihren Gefühlen ist ein interessanter Punkt. Das mag vielleicht einer der Gründe sein, warum sie so gut werden konnte. Ihre Familie hat sie immer sehr abgeschirmt und sie musikalisch komplett machen lassen, was sie wollte. Sie ist zwar im Umgang etwas schüchtern, aber musikalisch ist sie da immer sehr klar tonangebend gewesen. Schon mit 8 oder 9 haben ihre Musiker sie liebevoll "the Boss" genannt.
Ist das so, das man als Jugendlicher gezwungen ist, weich zu singen? Ich denke da an Charlotte Summers, die ja deutlich mehr "shock and awe"-style singt.
Ich finde das Weiche war bisher auch eine von Angelinas größten Stärken. Sie hat in vielen ihrer Covers das Tempo deutlich runtergeschraubt und damit die Intensität erhöht. Wobei sie trotzdem in einigen Songs ein Powerbelting oder Run einbaut, das vielen Kommentatoren der Mund offen stehen bleibt.
Die Show wurde Ende 2019 aufgenommen. Alleine der Sprung von Bohemian Rhapsody zu ihrem neuesten Adele-Cover ist gewaltig was die Stimm-Power betrifft. Aber Vocal Coaches auf YT sagen, ihre Stimme wird sich noch knapp 10 weitere Jahre weiterentwickeln.

Angelina singt nicht nur, sie fühlt das was sie singt, sie transportiert Gefühle mit ihrer einzigartigen Stimme und berührt unsere Seele.
Das macht etwas ganz Besonderes aus ihr. Cover von ihr sind Einzigartig, keine Kopien vom Original, sie macht ihr eigenes Ding daraus

I couldn't get an English translation but I could tell from your facial expressions you liked the song. Angelina is an incredible singer and hope there is an ability for English on your next reaction.

Wenn Sie Angelinas Entwicklung hören und sehen möchten, sollten Sie auf alle Fälle in die frühen Jahre zurückgehen hmh ... hört sich irgendwie komisch an, bei einem so jungen Künstler.
Ich kann Ihnen besonders die Acapella-Version von Billy Holidays -" I'm A Fool To Want You " - bei Norske Talenter - und "Gloomy Sunday" in der selben Show empfehlen.

Um ihr Talent würdigen zu können, empfehle ich tatsächlich zunächst ein paar Frühwerke: Gloomy Sunday (7 Jahre) und Summertime (8 Jahre)von Norske Talenter und natürlich I Put a Spell on You (9 Jahre, unbedingt die Schwarz-Weiß-Version). Es ist einfach irre, was sie in dem Alter schon konnte. Und es ist natürlich auch spannend zu verfolgen, wie sie sich weiterentwickelt hat.

Angelina has been doing that since 7 years old! Since 8 she has been arranging songs herself. A child prodigy that can deliver a song like no other. After you view "I Put A Spell On You" (black and white version)at 9.2 years old you should see her 4 performances on Norway's Got Talent (NGT) and then her first live performance after winning NGT "What A Difference A Day Makes" Allsang pa Grensen 2014 at 8 years of age. This 13y.o. talented girl has incredible singing abilities (uses lots of Riffs and Runs, she also sings in whistle register). She won Junior Eurovision Song Contest, released debut album and won over the hearts of thousands of people. There isn't better way to admire her talent than listening to her live performances. I understand german but can't write properly anymore so it will be in english. You should really watch her older covers such as "Summertime" and "I put a spell on you" to grasp how she really is a prodigy. Her roots are in Jazz which she started singing at a very early age. Most of her covers are great and original. She has the ability to always make her own. She has also some interesting composition such as "Shield". "Millions Miles" and "7th Heaven"

Da ich bisher nur nicht-deutsche Reactionvideos kommentiert habe, habe ich meinen "Standard-Erstlings-Kommentar" nur auf Englisch - den hänge ich hier noch dran.
Du hast ja schon viele Infos und Vorschläge in den Kommentaren bekommen - eigentlich ist es egal, wo Du weiter machst - Angelinas Videos sind alle extraordinär... Eine Idee möchte ich Dir aber hier gleich nochmal auf Deutsch ans Herz legen - bisher habe ich nur ein mal eine Umsetzung gesehen: Wenn Du zu dem schon von anderen empfohlenen Video "I Put A Spell On You" ein Reactionvideo machst, integriere doch am Anfang zumindest einen Ausschnitt - am besten aber das ganze - eines Video von Screemin' Jay Hawkins. Ich denke am besten hierzu wäre eine Version von seiner Japantournee (ua-cam.com/video/Bb9ag8bch_U/v-deo.html) - ich habe den Eindruck, Angelina hat diese oder zumindest eine ähnliche Version als Vorbild für ihr Cover genommen. Soweit ich das bisher gelesen habe, hat sie auch schon mit 9 Jahren das Arrangement selbst geschrieben - in dem Video sieht man am Anfang, wie sie etwas notiert und es danach der Bandleader liest... und schmunzelnd nickt. In einem Interview hat er erzählt, es waren Angelinas "Wünsche" (sie sei immer sehr höflich ;-) ) für eine Änderung am Klavierarrangement ...
Auf jeden Fall wirst Du sehr viel Zeit einplanen müssen, es sind über 132 Videos, die alle zu einem Reactionvideo taugen, die einen Zuhörer jedes Mal in Erstaunen versetzen - oft hört man von den Reactioners "How?..." oder "How is this possible?" oder "Is that really she?"...

She was only 9 years old when she performed this song. It is her tribute to Screamin' Jay Hawkins, an American singer/songwriter. He wrote and performed it in 1956 and Angelina based her performance on the original, although she did make some subtle alterations to both lyrics and melody.
As you continue your journey of discovering Angelina, you will come to realise that she does her own arrangements of most of the cover songs she sings. The differences may not be immediately discernible on first listening to them, but they are there. There may be a subtle change in tempo or tone, or more inflexion on some words, or a phrase may differ in pitch from the original. The amount of control that Angelina has over her voice cannot be measured. She never hurries a song. She sings in such a way that the emotions in the lyrics are felt by the listener.
In this video did you notice:Angelina finishing some notes and handing them to the pianist, who smiled as he read them? They were her wishes (instructions) to the band how she wished therm to play the music. Then a brief glimpse of Mery Zamani, a well known and respected Iranian artist, who is also Angelina's maternal grandmother and the person who encouraged Angelina in her love of music, especially jazz. And then there is a shot of Angelina holding a candle upon which was an image of Screamin' Jay Hawkins. Lastly, did you notice how the "performing" Angelina, singing at a level of maturity far beyond her years, suddenly became a 9-year-old child almost instantaneously once she finished singing. From the time I first heard Angelina, way back at her first audition on Norway's Got Talent, she has amazed me.

Amazing reaction, thank you for choosing our barefoot princess. It's amazing to think that she, at just 13, was able to take a challenge with a song like this and turn it into a song of HER, with a fantastic reworking, a calm, powerful and terribly emotional interpretation and great courage.
