Get Smart Goofs, Bloopers, and Facts

- On this video I talk about Get Smart TV series goofs, bloopers, and facts from the classic 1960's television show starring Don Adams as Maxwell Smart Agent 86, Barbara Feldon as Agent 99, and Edward Platt as the Chief.
Don Adams, Barbara Feldon, and Edward Platt show off their sense of humor in these hilarious bloopers that show even expert actors can twist dialogue into something unrecognizable. Also, see Don Rickles and Don Adams act silly on the set. I also take a look at doors that fall down a second before explosions occur, a car without a dashboard, an ejector seat that disappears in the air, and bullet holes that appear and reappear in between shots.
Get Smart was an funny comedy parody of the James Bond spy genre that was huge in the 60's. It mixed action and comedy together in such a entertaining fashion that fans are still watching the series today, but thanks to higher definition television sets and the ability to rewind we can now analyze some goofs that made it to the final cut of the show that viewers may have missed when it first aired in the 60's.

Man, Barbara Feldon sure was a beauty.
But she was a loudmouth
@@tsitracommunications2884 With LOUD teeth😆
@@GeneralGeorgeS.PattonJr. yup
Apparently she won a beauty contest.
@@dhenderson1810She won the $64000 Question in 1957 for her knowledge of Shakespeare.
Michael Dunn was also in Star Trek TOS as Alexander in Plato's Stepchildren so I guess he does live forever.
That's right.
I love, love, love Bernie Kopell on "Get Smart". I was recently watching old DVD's of the old Doris Day show and Bernie Kopell was on there too. He was so funny on everything I ever saw him on.
Ziss is Chaos! Vee don't shush here! 😆😂🤣
😂😂😂 Love GS ..Don Adams was a comedic genuis.
Tom Poston would not have been as good.
I agree! I loved him as the voice of Inspector Gadget!
Tv crazy man found the cone of silence to be downright deafening
as did i. but it made for great comedy
Yeah, you got to love the Cone of Silence. It never failed to make me laugh.
@@tvcrazymaneven funnier was when they used the Portable Cone of Silence
The Cone of Silence is maybe my favorite running gag ever.
Two points from my childhood watching.
1. Barb Feldon was beauty.
2. The Control Agent Santa seemed real spooky as his every stare was devious.
I love these. So funny and nostalgic 😊😊😊😊😊
Thank you very much.
2nd I was a kid when this started - Loved GET SMART!
thanks for the post. the next video? surprise me!
Barbara Feldon & Barbara Eden - My Favorite's !
Those are two beautiful Barbaras 😍
How you could find any goofs in this show is amazing! This was the funniest, goofiest, show ever
0:43 That appears to be the same lagoon as used in filming Gilligan’s Island.
Yes, it was.
Thanks for this! Have a great week!!!
Appreciate it.
Loving these great fantastic goofs of a classic show
Thanks
Always welcome
I watched this show as a kid and I loved it. Great wordplay, a satire on the 'spy' shows and movies of the time, great writing and humor. I bet the set must of have been fun to be on.
Well done. What keen eyes some people have to spot some of these bloopers
Loved Get Smart. It was either funny or silly and both make me laugh. How about the Monkees bloopers?
The Monkees are hilarious! 😀
I hope you all enjoy the new Tvcrazyman video on Get Smart.
I have The Get Smart Handbook that I bought back in 2017.
Thank you, TVCrazyman! I most certainly did! I always enjoy kicking back in my cowboy boots and watching your highly entertaining videos on your highly entertaining channel! Thanks for sharing, and keep up the good work, bro! Happy holidays!
Get Smart. My all time favorite sitcom.
1:18 The entire bar, bottles & all, disappears.
4:13 The red phone vanishes before Max is tossed over the desk & you can clearly see that is not Don Adams standing there.
Great eye! One thing I didn't mention between the first pic and where he's thrown behind the desk is that he had been thrown behind the desk a couple of times already, knocking over the phone.
@@tvcrazymanOk… that explains the phone.
I see you liked Jack Palance too… Ripley’s Believe It Or Not was one I never missed.
Did you ever see the movie Barabbas, (1961) with Anthony Quinn? Jack Palance had a terrifically sadistic part in it.
Excellent film!
Thanks for the reply & great video.
Oh yeah, I think I watched Ripley's just to hear Palance do that spooky, "Believe it or not" line. That was an interesting show too though.@@GeneralGeorgeS.PattonJr.
Must give this show a watch looked awesome great goofs as always bud 😀
You'll love it! Thanks
It's funny. You'd think the actors would keep track of what gun or prop was positioned or used. 🤔
On of my favorite shows thanks for doing this video
You're welcome. Appreciate it.
Thanks tvcrazy, another corker of an ep. I reckon they could have used Rickles in several more episodes, as the jokes bounced nicely between the two. Very complementary to each other.
Keep em coming. 😊
The old Real Knife in the Rubber Sword Trick!
That's what makes it so sneaky and dangerous. 😀
Another wonderful video! I enjoyed watching this compilation of goofs you uncovered from "Get Smart"! Thanks for sharing, and keep up the good work, bro! Happy holidays!
I was doing homework with 99 after school before charlie’s Angels came out.
“Missed it by that much!”
I really enjoyed it. waiting for your next video.
Love the wobbly sword
Barbara was a beauty.
My old boss and I used to reference that show quite a bit especially with the cone of silence. And I find myself saying quite often missed it by that much but I could not remember where that was from until now thanks a lot TV crazy man
...and loving it!
Appreciate it. I love those old TV sayings.
The man on the left when Maxwell Smart "freezes" them at the end of the video is John Stevenson. He was the voice of Mr. Slate in the television series The Flintstones.
Cool. I always love spotting cartoon voice actors doing live performances.
He did other cartoon voices besides Mr. Slate.
If I'm not mistaken, the late John Stephenson also voiced Dr. Benton Quest on the 1960s animated series "Jonny Quest," @@kevinmiller6380.
Barbara Feldon looked better with longer hair & she's still with us so is Bernie Kopell (Sigfried). Edward Platt played a great Chief of Control.
Yeah, she did look her best when she had the longer hair.
Mr big was in star trek episode platos stepchildren!
Very Good there @Lisa...!
doesz any streaming service air this? I recall watching it in repeat reairings in the mid 80s after school
I'm not sure. I have it all on DVD.
Here is a helpful suggestion. Add 30 seconds of black screen at the end of your videos. Then the annoying thumbnails doesn't ruin the end of your video.
Sorry about that, I usually have a longer ending so that normally isn't a problem. I fixed it now so thumbnails don't show up until the still image appears. Let me know if it works ok now at the end. Thanks
Yes they don't make shows like this anymore everything is too you know fuddy-duddy now or politically correct crap all the bloopers that you post are fun to watch because they're normal everyday things that people do in the acting business there has to be bloopers somewhere with a serious show like you know a cop show like NYPD or something keep them coming
I guess they never imagined that it would ever be frame by frame inspected, but those are some kinda lazy continuity errors. See if you can get Mel or Buck to comment (on the phone).about it. Really.
Nice cut, with the bumpers and flubs and the whatnot.
Thanks
You didn’t cover where Max goes after dialing the number in the phone booth at the beginning.
99 was hot
Very good. Can you do one on the Bowery Boys?
Possibly in the future. I looked for them on DVD the other day at the DVD book store and didn't find them. I may have to order them online.
@@tvcrazyman not a problem but how about some more Hogan's Heroes then
Look for Hogan in the near future. I do have the whole series on DVD, and I just finished rewatching it all last year. So, I'm ready to roll on it after I do some research and note taking. @@mistervacation23
@@tvcrazyman Great. I'm still looking for an answer to a question I've had for a long time. That would be what is that blue box by the door of the barracks leading out. I think it might be for matches but I can't make it out for sure
ok, maybe I can find out an answer to that question when I get into research mode.@@mistervacation23
Would you believe.......
There are no goofs on Get Smart
They are easter eggs
Can you help me, as I feel am crazy. When I was younger, indpendant tV stations, before were a network, they would air a movie, and when it goes to a commercial break, you see a static image, and voice would narrate, this is Station ID name, from such and such location., and you are watching Movie name," or You are watching movie name on station name in station location. Then would say, espcially on last commercial break, up next is this show, and after that, this show. I am trying to find video clips of this, even a screen shot so can make a version in Flash.
Have you tried searching youtube for "station identification". You might find some images on a google search too.
@@tvcrazyman yeah, one of the first things I searched for. but wasnt sure if was called that...i mean make sense it would be. i mean havent looked at all the videos, still swimming throught them :)
THIS MARARRATOR DOES SO MUCH NITPICKING I'M SURPRISED HE'S NOT POINTING OUT IF ANYBODY HAS DANDRUF..
Would you believe me if I told you I neglected to mention a speck of dandruff falling out of the hair of Don Adams in the first episode? Missed mentioning it by that much.
Great! how about Green Acres?
That's a good one.
