Your child is so lucky to have a creative mother!!!
Aw, thanks! :)
I work for a childcare at my alternative school. (Helps teen moms graduate while also keeping their child in a safe environment)
I might have to make a few of these
Aw that's so awesome!! If you had access to a band saw, this project would be a ton easier! You can also do more simple shapes like a heart or even just a circle or something to make it easier to make more.
I'd love to see how yours turn out if you wanted to share them! Tag me on instagram or twitter!
I find it admirable that you make toys for your child. I hope that he/she will appreciate it when they are older :).
I hope so too!
Glad to see another person using coping saw rather than expensive tool, thank you! Amazing!
oh thats absolutely adorable!!! your baby will be stylin with that custom rattle!
Thanks!!
I love the idea for the fake inlays!
Ahhhhhh. This is the type of content I just LOVE. When you make things for your family and pets, just a lil more love and care go into them.
This is seriously so freaking cool Rachel. This lil Bebe is the luckiest already.
Nicely done! I always wear mechanic's gloves when using my disc sander. They've saved my fingers countless times.
Oh no this is too cute.
Thanks for sharing your pattern. I just finished and shipped this to a friend having a baby in July. I had some greenish poplar on hand. Made the beads from the center cutout and from a thin piece of walnut. I was so inspired by your design that I used it as a foundation to make a matching sheep rattle from maple and a pony rattle from walnut. I was going to share a picture, but doesn’t seem to be an option. You are awesome and inspirational. Keep going!
Gah this is so fucking cute and cool af cubby little gator!!!!
Cool video, nice project I liked it a lot, I will be trying something like this for my daughter.
i have watched both of you and so loving it...thanks
Congratulations... love your tutorials
Thank you!!
That little munchkin is spoiled already
oh man, I never thought to actually make wooden toys when my tot was a baby! The wooden inlay was new to me; I had originally thought you may have wood burned it when I saw the thumbnail!
This is so cute!!! What a clever idea to fill the eyes with the dark sawdust and wood glue

Me: *looks down at scabbed up pinky I accidentally sanded earlier this week*
Love this project just wanted to let you know that olive oil is not suggested when finishing wood because the oil can go rancid and rot the wood
That 👏 is 👏 freaking 👏 adorable!
Beautifully done!
Nicely done!
Congratulations!!!!
Oh my gosh this is perfect!
Wow it turned out so adorable!! I bet your kid will love it for a long time! And congrats!!
this is such a cool project! i like the sawdust tricks!
This is so cute!
So beautiful as always ❤
That its so cute!
I love this! I know so little about woodworking tools so it's great how you detailed why you're using specific tools and what the uses for the tools you're using and what you could have done differently were--makes me get my feet in the right direction if I were ever to invest in my own wood working set up :)
Excited for any more dyi tutorials in the future!
PS: If you're open to suggestions I'd love a tutorial on the types of paint/how and when to paint in the process of woodworked projects! I'm always intimidated for how many types of paint there are and which I should be using and how to finish/protective coat it afterwards haha.
great video!!
This toy came out so good! Where did Jason put the jigsaw?!?!?!
Lol, I don't know! We can't remember if we lent it out or if he just organized the wood working room so hard that it just disappeared, haha. I'm sure we'll figure it out one day... but also that thing was pretty old, so maybe this is a good excuse to get a shiny new one!
And thank you!!!
@@chezlin YAS! Looks like you have to get a bandsaw now. there's no other choice
Would you please consider making a quite book, i would love to see your attempt on that !
What a cute idea! And a great execution!!! ^_^
Thank you!!
This actually would make a really good hamster chew toy😆😂👌 so im going to try it
Lol, cute!!
Can’t wait for more baby relate diy
