I make paper beads as a hobby. If u want to seal and harden the paper and fabric, the best thing is called PC petrifier a wood hardener. Becomes indestructible and pretty much waterproof. For restoring rotten wood indoors or outdoors. Like window frames.
I love this video!!! Not only did you explain the entire construction process in depth, but you also explained to us how you made all those different designs AND you showed us using a graphic illustrator. You are amazing! I can't wait to try my luck at making one of these. I hate standard metal thimbles and have been looking for something like this. This is way better than anything I was expecting to stumble upon. Thank you so much! Oh and for the record, I really like your "unfinished" red one the best. But honestly if you hadn't mentioned anything about running out of the red thread I never would have suspected it.
Great video, may I suggest using two colors to make your markings. I used a red fine sharpie on top and black on the bottom. That way I always have the correct orientation and stitch in same direction.
Awesome! I might give this a try, but I think I'd sew through them? I don't know, I'm such a clutz when it comes to sewing. Also, I adore how you say 'chunky'.
These are pretty enough to be jewelry! When I was learning hand quilting I made a crude thimble out of leather that allows my fingernail to poke thru. It sure was ugly but worked fine. I like yours much better. Jo
Im crocheting blankets but i noticed my thumb and index finger started to bother me so i want to know if there is anything that i can make as to cover them so when i handle my crochet hook this does'nt happen, thx

The angle for bias cutting is 45° not 90°. A 90°angle is a right angle.
Thanks for showing this! I have a hard time finding a thimble to fit!
They look so pretty. Nice job
Lot of work. Lovely results!

I wonder how this would work with ring blanks... most are metal, though I am sure plastic ones exist as well, instead of the paper.
PVC tube ?
How about a strip of plastic? Soap, soda, milk jug. Something easy to make a cylinder from
Yeah love when you post a new video! These are so cute I hate standard thimble but these are pretty functional looking :)
Beautiful work
These are great! I love these! The rainbow one is so pretty! The little graphics were so helpful too!

I was going to make one as jewelry because I don't do hand sewing often, and my fingers are tough enough anyway
