I had a Daihatsu YRV, brought for £600, drove it for 3 years , 40k miles, never changed the oil or added coolant, never let me down. It got hit by a lorry when parked, £800 from the insurance!! Wicked car! Just don’t drive on a windy day 😂
@@ShiftingMetal We have passed many a stuck land rover off roading. They are solid, well the 1997 one I have is. Old Japanese engineering basic but solid.
My parents had a manual. One if the first cars I drove. Lots of fun actually, the 3 cylinder likes to rev and we never managed to tip it over, even though it seems like it would by just looking at it. Feels like a race car without ever going over the speed limit. And you can fit a lot of stuff in with backseats folded.
Picked one of these up from BCA Paddock Wood last week for 400 quid all in .One lady from new … in the boot complete set of side mouldings still in the bag supplied by original dealer just in case!!! Noticed yours is without … u want them ??😂 Great relevant vids guys keep it goin
Wow seeing one of these again brings back memories of my dad test driving one I mean it wasn't worth what it was priced at but I guess they could be a great little kit car
What a fanny magnet! If you need parts, I think the Perodua Kenari was based on the Move. The engine in the Kenari is updated and the Move engine looks like one out of a Perodua Nippa (which are as rare as the Move!). They do a 660cc turbo version of this engine. Search Daihatsu Mira Avanzato. They do newer versions but the old ones are the same engine.
I drove 2 daihatsu moves in my life, one who felt like flipping over but didn't, and one who did have stabilizers, the other one drove much better, until we went on the highway, what a terrible aerodynamics!. But it handles really well for a car like this.
Wonderfully bonkers. Thought you might have got the Perodua equivalent but this one's definitely worth saving by somebody for the Festival of the Unexceptional. Given the vibration I thought the brassy thing in the BMW might have been one of its conrod bearings...
Know someone with one of these, great little things and love how simple they are! only does a couple miles a year in it as well! only let down is the ULEZ zone in london but hell try and find a way around it.
Ah it's a late 90s baby petrol engine, it won't be anywhere near the NOx limit, just get a conformity certificate for it, submit to TfL and boom beat the ULEZ on this beast.
I've absolutely no idea why you're taking the piss out of that daihatsu move it's actually pretty god damn cool and in the present economic climate we're all in it's going to be fantastic to run IM WITH DAN IT IS FANTASTIC
dude i havent seen you shift a car yet lol, you must be lucky enough to own that plot because if you had to find the rent every month you would have to be pushing more along
😂 520d sold already. Making it 12/13 for March so far which is a bit slow to be fair. I don’t tend to film that bit but rest assured, I’m making rent 👍

Anyone who played Gran Turismo 2 knows all about this car.

It’s me again first 🎉
I would rather walk across broken glass for a thousand miles than drive that.
