While I agree, I also understand that the cammer might not have noticed the other driver merging in the moment the cammer was merging. I also agree that slowing down could’ve prevented it, but at the same time I can see why the hesitation to slow down / brake suddenly would prevent someone from braking in a split-second decision

Yea cammer was pretty damn slow, didn't help that the car that hit him followed him, he was in middle lane then goes to shoulder like he was a missile tracking a target.
16:30 - Regardless of the brake lights not being there, you getting closer and closer to the vehicle should indicate that the vehicle in front is either slowing down or braking. This is also the reason you should follow at a safe distance. What is the rule? One car length for every 10mph...?
I see a lot of in-video comments about bald tires, but I wanted to throw this out there also. Tires have a manufacture date on them, thus there's an implied expiration date. Rubber gets hard and brittle with age and weather cycles. It's entirely possible to have tires with great tread life left, but with the stopping and handling power of a banana peel. If you're like me and barely put a couple of thousand miles on your car a year, you need to plan on replacing your barely used tires after 5 to 7 years of their manufacture date.

The one with the enterprise van, if they won’t tell you who the van was rented to, they’re assuming liability. You can sue them regardless of who was driving because they own the van and have liability. Telling you who was driving doesn’t absolve them of liability, either.

Rule of thumb that many people seem to forget: If you’re stopped, and someone rear ends you, the moment you either see the impact is imminent, or the impact itself happens, stand on your brakes. In cases like at 2:45 you can avoid hitting the car in front of you, and if you can’t actually avoid, then you also won’t go flying across the intersection afterwards and hit even more cars, turning spectators into involved parties.
Some cars like audi have sensor that when it detects a rear end will let go of the brakes cause if the car doesn't have any stopped motion it won't damage car as much but it won't activate if there's a car In front of them idk I watched a video on it
