About 35 years ago I took a motorcycle across the Forth bridge in Scotland. The guy at the toll booth said are you really going to cross on a bike? He said it was that windy that they were sending semis across side by side so they could bump off each other. I'm like yeah, I'll be good, no worries. About 1/4 of the way across I was already regretting my choice because I was being blown all the way to the centre despite leaning like crazy into the wind, then it would die down for a sec and I would fly across the carriageways and almost off the side, seriously. Then the wind starts again and wheee, off I go again. In front 2 semis are bashing each other, and 2 more behind me. Scared the immortal piss out of me! The worst part? Realising that there was no other way to get back so I had to go back over again it to come home. Toll booth guy saw me coming back and came out to greet me. Said he didn't think I would be coming back. I'm all yeah, not an issue, easy as. (Lies!) He even offered to make me cuppa lol
one thing my mom taught me when hydroplaning, to NEVER hit the breaks, if you hit the brakes you will most likely flip. She also said to let your foot come off the gas, don’t freak out and to just steer till you have control.

Some manufacturers put electronic components behind body panels that get destroyed. From an insurance perspective that may also mean the cost to rent the driver a car until it is fixed, or longer term storage for the vehicle if pats are unavailable. Many car parts are on indefinite back order.

These are our road conditions for 5 months of the year if we were to do 35kmh on 100kmh roads because theres some snow we'd get nowhere bud. Just last week I was doing 80-90 on a 100kmh road with snow covered roads. Got home just fine because we know how to drive up here.

I got a dash cam after I pulled through a small town with narrow streets and a lady threw open her driver side door just as I was passing her, going under the speed limit. I heard a loud crunch as her door took my passenger side mirror off and damaged both passenger side doors. She claimed I hit her car. After a lengthy investigation, she was found at fault. I have a dash cam now.
