You wasn’t sick you had a great time check your tell tails sometimes check your sails let them out check you boat speed and then bring the sail back in play with them don’t let them pass you again your had a great sail well done guys loving it so you must be 🤙🤙happy days
Thank you so much Darren. Great advice! I am forever fiddling with the trim in the river then once out my comfort zone it goes out my head a bit.. more experience required I think! ☝️👌 Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment 🙏
happy to have found your channel, sailing chef, think it will become a favourite , looking forward to some good boat cooking, and of course the sailing
The wallet channel, aka “vomit alley”. The chop is particularly bad wind against tide, short and steep and just the right timing to make slow progress. In the scheme of things not a major sea-state, but why do uncomfy for pleasure. I am based at Wivenhoe, currently on the hard at Brightlingsea, may see you around.
Absolutely Grahame. We’ve had the majority of our longer passages in the wallet and always fun with some wind. That’s our thinking, it’s a pain when we have to be back for work rather than waiting for a comfy window. Absolutely, hope to see you around and thank you for watching. 👍🙏
‘Snuffer’; a “snubber” is a different thing. If helpful I can go all aged Sea Scout on you and say what they each are, but only if you want! Good episode, thank you; I shall subscribe. Ps. A wind muffle for the mic might help. I’ve never done it, but apparently a dishwashing sponge can be repurposed for this.
👍 Thank you Kevin… yes my terminology is not so strong. 🥴 Thank you for watching. Yes we really need to sort that out. We film almost everything with the phones so tricky to get. I will have to invest in some camera gear. 🙏
🤦♂ I know, I am constantly doing it! It drives me nuts and I realise after a couple of minutes of waffling on. (I have pulled myself up on it quite a few times in other videos). Thanks you for the advice in any case I really appreciate it. Any other tips always welcome. 👍🙏
Completely agree with you Ken. We’ve only been sailing for a year and have only skirted the cost so far In manageable conditions. It was not huge but the most we have had so far. Thank you for watching 🙏
One person’ calm is another’ choppy is another’ scary conditions depending upon how experienced on the water you are. Force 8-10 doesn’t knock a stir out of Tom Cunnliffe or John Kretchmeyer.

If you call that a 'big chop' then you havent been ANYWHERE of note!!
Completely agree with you Ken. We’ve only been sailing for a year and have only skirted the cost so far In manageable conditions. It was not huge but the most we have had so far.

Anywhere of note, is up to the sailor.
