I can't believe you walked right past the *BEST FRIED CHICKEN IN THE WORLD!!!* Mrs. Knott's Kitchen really IS the best fried chicken in the world. I really hope you didn't skip it on your second day at Knott's Berry Farm. You really will have missed out if you didn't try it. My family loved Mrs. Knott's chicken SO MUCH that after we all finished all of our chicken dinners and our boysenberry sodas and pie, we ordered another round of chicken dinners and a whole boysenberry pie to take back to our hotel to eat it the next day! (I woke up in the middle of the night and ate a chicken leg!) As for the cioppino I can't believe you guys never had it when you lived in SF, the HOME of cioppino! The bone marrow is supposed to be spread on toasted bread, not just eaten by itself. That's why it's so salty, and usually the salt is chunky fleur de sel, sea salt which gives it a nice crunch. It's meant to be used as an alternative to butter, and it usually has chopped flat-leaf parsley, and sometimes is served with roasted garlic, too.
Love these videos! I really appreciate your incorporation of food and eating into the places you travel. There's lot's of creators putting out travel video's but your's has the best part, all the different food! I love it, thanks for sharing.

Case in point: 9:47 LOL!!!! That was like the equivolent of eating a spoon full of butter. Try schmearing it in with the gnocci (pronounced: nyohk-kee) or on bread like butter.
When he showed the bone, I was expecting some bread to have also come with the dish, but I wasn't aware it goes well mixed in with the gnocci too!
@@tahitinova546 Yeah, I agree with the bread. The gnocci were also pretty well sauced. Bread was needed to sop all of that up and properly enjoy the marrow.

pho is one of my favourite soups, ever since I first tasted it, and I am a lover of soups. I eat it exactly how you have it, with the same garnishes. I eat it once a week.

Hi there. Bone marrow is usually spread on toast or Italian crusty bread. Gnocchi is made with potatoes and yes it is CREAMY in the center. LOL

Marrow is the bomb, but it's like butter - you don't just eat a spoonful of it. It probably should have been mixed with the gnocchi, although on toast is by far the best.

If you guys are still in the area try Afters Ice cream, quite a few locations in the OC and LA. Try the warm milky bun with cold ice cream stuffed inside. I love their Jasmine milk tea ice cream. So good!

Love me some souffle pancakes with a mixed berry coulis... I haven't had regular pancakes in years but will make souffle pancakes at home regularly... very easy to make and super yummy.

You're supposed to eat the marrow on crunchy pieces of bread because then you get the contrast of the soft marrow and the crunchy bread, and it cuts the richness of the marrow. I am surprised as well traveled as you are you did not know this???

Buena Park and you don’t go to the most famous restaurant in town and the reason the water park and amusement park exist?! Knott’s restaurant is incredible food and the pie is amazing.
