The White House tried calling Raffensberger 18 times before he took it. Anyone with two brain cells would record any call with him, the cliche "he lies more than a rug", comes to my mind!

I was like or he might not have been holding large rallies because we’re in the middle of a pandemic and it’s not safe and he cares more about people’s lives then getting gratification by having hundreds of people shouting his name and agreeing with everything he says. The right wing reaction and deflection is to claim that recording and then giving or leaking the phone call was illegal and therefore negates anything said in the perfect phone call.
Raffensberger recorded the call in case he needed to have legit proof in case Trump denied ever saying the things he did and Raffensberger was only going to release the audio of the call in the event that Trump attacked him on social media (which he did). I sincerely hope that what Trumplethinskins did will help the Democrats win in Georgia today (I'm on the West Coast, so I won't hear the results till much later today) and help sink the lunatic RepubliKKKan's objections in the formal certification of the electoral votes.
