@@barath4545depends on so many things. After all these years, the range of engines is growing enormous. In Holland, a company has bought many of the old pressing tools, so that's why the Dutch trucks have all that Christmas lights and bull bars
These SCANIA,s are verder nice in sound and rolling. We drove tractors and trucks in several configurations from Holland to the Middle and Far East as well as several Russian countries. Never prpplems with these V8 diesels ! Keep safe driving and do not drink too much ! 😊
With a proper old 141 or 143, or any truck for that matter... don't torture it with +2000 rpm. Go for that deep rumble, where you also have all the torque. 850 - 1500/1650 depending on engine
DJ (Dan jones) Commercials is a scania specialist from Devon in the UK who tunes trucks to add more horsepower using people from GREECE to do the coding etc as for his the horsepower badge is just (???) so people have to guess the horsepower it has (hope this helps)
I'll give you the 16V71, they scream so good it really doesn't matter that they burn more fuel than two other trucks, and leak more oil than three other trucks.

The first black truck definitely has a tuned engine. A standard engine doesn't smoke like that. At least it wouldn't pass any emission test.

Detroit Diesel 8V71 2-stroke sounds better, in my humble opinion. These Scanias do sound interesting and pretty cool though.
