I just installed ubuntu studio 24, and I have yet to be able to open discover. Every time I open it either through GUI or command line it crashes before opening. Every time.

for me, to fast in places, on checking these seem to be older gdebi and synaptic, all updated in 24.04. I installed two .deb apps yesterday with dpkg, perfectly. I still downloaded gdebi but not syasptic. I pause video but it takes so much longer. After music and video update, differed upgrades

Ubuntu software center is missing how to install softwares?

I don't get why Ubuntu don't switch to a complet (real) desktop environment like KDE where you don't have to install "extension" to have an usable OS. Today I would recomend to install Linux Mint for Debian based or to switch on Fedora KDE spin.
For me Gnome don't simplify anything it make just the thing less usefull.

1. Uninstall Ubuntu 24.04 and install Linux Mint.

@@david-is8yf Linux is faster, use less resourses, and some versions (Distros) are more beautiful than Windows.
