Why is it every time I d the first thing and second thing it says unmet dependencies
does scaling even work properly on gnome? I love gnome, I prefer gnome. But kde is more advanced and reliable imo. using 1080p and a 4k monitor, 100% and 175% scaling. best results with kde wayland.
tnxs bro
And to Fedora40 ?
But they still not fixed HDMI audio crackling bug
bro i can't do minimize on click, it said dconf-warning failed to commit changes
it worked for me
gsettings set org.gnome.shell.extensions.dash-to-dock click-action 'minimize'
Some Flatpak apps are getting bugged on this Ubuntu version. Well, first thing is that you need to install flatpak to begin this conversation. And after you install and reboot the machine, configure the flathub and install for example Postman, it opens but starts to get boggus and freeze and everything.... awful!
Interestingly how they make it hard for people who want to avoid snaps, use deb packages or even flatpaks. Strange glitches and bugs start to happen, unusual behavior, things stopping to work, avoiding installation. Well... I won't put my tin foil hat on, but this seems to be done on purpose by Canonical. I wouldn't be surprised if so.
Why this things dont come along with the ubuntu itself, so that way its guarantee that things actually work together?.
Some of it would be considered bloat. Now people have the choice to install etc.
@@esaedvikconsider bloat? Are u serious? This are all open stuff, consider bloat by whom? Some paranoic?. I repeat, i wish this come with ubuntu to assure compatibility
I remember before this distris change.... My last ubuntu is 9.10.. after installing you just use it, or instak program.. thats it... Just works...😢
It used to be a good distro, but it currently isn't the case anymore.
Still people keep recommending this piece of ... you know what.
There are tons of better distros, especially aimed for newbies in the Linux world.
Ubuntu just has a popular name, nothing else.
Good only for servers, IoT and services. Desktop? Nope.
Name another one for newbies that is as well supported and compatible as Ubuntu
@@davebassi7340 Manjaro
@@lucasb0rgesIn openSUSE and Fedora you need to install codecs and nvidia drivers which most people do from the terminal even though a lot of people hate it.
Unless you are saying linux mint ofc.
As per July 2024, I would suggest you avoid doing much of the things suggested in this video. Whenever you are requested to agree to a license conditions, you won't be able to proceed. Most of the "extra" installations won't in fact install. When putting the "ltp" command, you will in fact install a deadly loop. I had to erase and reinstall Ubuntu all together. I returned to Fedora at the end. This was done on an Asus c302 ex-chromebook.
Please make customization tutorials for plasma 6.
Kde rice
after install, download another distro iso, then install
bruh
Narration would have been nice

Major bug regarding System Language. Remains in english whatsoever!
Snapbuntu with bugs...
2 other fairly useful Gnome hotkeys -->
1> Shift + Super + Left or Right arrow key --> Moves your Apps fullscreen to another secreen.
2> Super + Left or Right arrow key --> Snap your Apps window to the left or right of the desktop.
3> Also you could install "nala" to speed up apt package downloading.
4> Could Purge Snap if you want.
Thanks for the tips.
Using new desktop, ubuntu Buggy
delete ubuntu
At 11:04 I am trying to install brave browser but it is throwing this error: Malformed entry 1 in list file /etc/apt/sources.list.d/brave-browser-release.list ([option] unparsable)
E: The list of sources could not be read. please help.
Look inside this file, you messed up
You just have to copy paste what's on the website for the installation on linux
👍Nice!
Very good steps. Good video. Thanks
Installing LMDE, debian, suse, nix, fedora or arch.
Fedora 40
Arch the best, but Debian and Fedora are very good
Is gdebi really needed ? You just have to sudo apt install /path/to/your/deb and that it, not a big deal
Yes, it is. Newcomers won't be using the terminal, they want to click buttons.
I want UI, no terminal, its no so difficult to understand that the majoroty of people dont know sht about commands, we want intuitive UI to do stuff, dont have time to learn and search for commands
Don’t install now it’s has lots of bugs and problems in Ubuntu 24
same here
But when you recommand?
When can we download
No it doesn’t. Mine works great
Mines fine
Is wifi Hotspot bug solved?
It's time to take a good look at the fresh fedora 40 and gnome
Fedora is as hard to configure and as unstable as Ubuntu is. Let's be realist.
@@elonmushen fedora is more recommended for devs and people with some knowledge about linux
Oh yes, the first installation of fedora caused a crash in the xd display manager. But as usual, the distribution will be debugged within a month.@@elonmushen
@@elonmushen What's hard about it? As for unstable, it's a bleeding edge distro, if you look for max stability, then latest Fedora would not be for you. I've not had issues with Nobara 39 or 38 myself.
I would never recommend this distro even for the person I hate the most.
Worst distro ever.
ubuntu iso is 5.8 gb while windows is 6.1 at this rate ubuntu is becoming more bloated than windows
@@Yoru05 That actually doesn't mean its install size is that...
@@Yoru05what bloat are you fckn talking about? Ubuntu has no usabbility i would fck PAY MONEY for a distro that comes with all that we need, and not touch terminal not even once
where is those command you use sir ?
