I've seen lots of versions of this list and they almost always leave out John Tesh. Pianist, composer, radio host & TV presenter. He was one of the holographic Klingons stabbing pain sticks into Worf in the 2nd season TNG episode "The Icarus Factor". That is how Klingons celebrate their birthdays.

    So many you missed:
    1. Stephen Hawking - Descent, Part I (TNG)
    2. Mae Jemison - Second Chances (TNG)
    3. Melvin Belli - And the Children Shall Lead (TOS)
    4. Fred Williamson - The Cloud Minders (TOS)
    5. John Tesh - The Icarus Factor (TNG)
Those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head. I'm sure there is more.

As usual I was playing the "who'll be number 1" game in my head, and as often happens I was wrong. (Not that there's anything wrong with "The Rock".) But to not even be on the list? I'm shocked, Shocked!
I refer to Astronaut Doctor Mae C. Jemsion (the first African-American woman into space in 1992). While in space, on the Shuttle Endeavour, she began each shift by saying "Hailing Frequencies Open". (Nichelle Nichols was her hero and inspiration. There are photos of Dr. Jemison on the TNG set with Nichelle visiting.) (In 1993 she was in ST:TNG episode "Second Chances" as Lt. Palmer.) She was invited on the show by LeVar Burton when he learned she was a fan.
As always thank you so very much for the video.
Sorry - after I wrote this I noticed I was not the first to mention. Didn't mean to rub-it-in. Plus kudo's to those who mentioned Stephen Hawking.

I loved the apperances of Paul Wight (the Big Show) on Enterprise. He was complimentary of the show and appreciates the effort the show does in terms of production. As he noted in Star Trek Communicator Magazine, “We sit at home and think it’s easy, but it’s not.”, referring to the what the cast had to do per episode.
I also loved seeing NBA star James Worthy as Klingon smuggler Koral in TNG’s Gambit. Cmdr. Riker had Deanna get close to him to emphasize just how tall he was; Mr. Worthy was possibly the tallest Klingon seen in any Trek series.
A Chris McQuarrie Trek series/film ought to be interesting, given his takes on Tom Cruise’s Mission: IMPOSSIBLE films.

Iggy Pop KILLED it as the Vorta. Until now, I had _no_ idea he was a celebrity outside of acting. I tried to figure out why they never brought him back again, considering how good he was. But now I know... he had _way_ bigger fish to fry. 😅
Needless to say, he may have done the cameo to fill a lifelong dream, but in the end he became a Star Trek Legend in his own right, even though it was for the one episode.

So you include fucking Big Show, while acknowledging that he actually had acted prior to appearing in Enterprise, while leaving out Prof. Mae Jemison and Stephen fucking Hawking? At least Dwayne hadn't had any acting roles at the time he'd done his Tsunkatse role.

My friend Mohammed's father was the personal doctor of King Abdullah II's father Hussein bin Talal. He's friends with King Abdullah II.
Funny story. When I met my friend Mohammed he was working in Louisville Kentucky. He ended up in the United States because he wrecked his father's BMW. Instead of telling his father he wrecked his car. He booked a flight to the United States. 😂

Interesting fact: I had heard that in the very early planning stages of Star Trek Insurrection before the script evolved into what it had, the plan was to aim to write the villian role for Bowie. Who Gates McFadden probably could’ve gotten to be a part of it since she was choreographer on Labyrinth

pro wrestlers shouldn't count, since much of the WWE is indeed acting. the physicaldemands are huge, but acting ability outside the ring makes careers.
