For the record, for those who reassembled the notebook and it wont power on go check the conector strip (disconnected in the video at 6:26). Try blowing the strip and the jack on the motherboard (plug the power cord, press power button and see the power light up). Another cause may be on the processor safe screw not being screwed up correctly
Friend very good video, but I have a query, you knows what power jack model, is that I have the same laptop, but before disarming me know the model of the power jack
usually people wait till the screwdriver is on the screw to push the button. lol i like how you start the drill and then try to just push it into the screw.
In the video what drill were you using and if by any chance can it remove stripped screws because I have a lot on mine which prevents me from opening the laptop fully. If you have any advice for my situation I would be glad to listen and try them out.
(comments on approval, sorry) I would really re check every connector again, maybe something is not connected well? Power button, did you checked the cable that is connected to power button by it self?
I have this same laptop, and it has been overheating a lot, as in after half an hour of use it gets dangerously high. So I was wondering how if I want to get into the fan with the exhaust next to it, if I would have to take the whole thin apart or can I just magically take the bottom panel off? ((Cleaning out dust buildup))
If you will remove it - you will need to weld it back. I don't do this type of thing because not everybody know how to and if I will remove it, they will be like screwed, what is not good.

EDIT: I forgot to mention that the port for the the white cable next to the dvd controls on the left side of laptop broke. Is there anyway I can find a replacement for that?
Hello sir, I have a working A135-S2276 in great condition, except that the mouse pad and buttons are totally unresponsive. I can get replacement palm rest for cheap but all are in bad esthetic condition. Can I replace ONLY the mousepad (and avoid using the gross palm rest mouse buttons/plastics) on this model or are the buttons married to the mousepad? Thank you very much for your time.
So, I'm staring and staring at every second of this video but I still can't see the CMOS battery. Where is it located? Do I have to dissasemble the entire thing to get to it?
Tengo ese modelo viejo de laptop, no venía con Bluetooth, se le podrá instalar un módulo Bluetooth internó?, Sin necesidad de sacrificar un puerto USB?, Gracias
sorry about the repeated msgs. yes i checked all the connections twice. the connector for power button is through flat cable, right? its ok. any other cable to be checked?
I need your help please,., i have one of them, i never desasembled it, i would like to know, how many memory modules comes with that, my system says it has 1 Gb RAM, I mean , are there 1 memory module 1Gb or 2 modules x 512Mb,. I dont know ,. thanks. another thing ,. is 533Mhz.- right? thanks again
Hi. I opened my Satellite A135 to apply thermal paste on the CPU and clean the fan. I closed it up but when I switch it on, the screen remains black. The laptop lights on but nothing on the screen. Help please!
i dismantled the laptop and assembled it back, but now it is not coming on. what could have gone wrong? i dismantled it again to check if all the connections were ok, but unable to find the reason why it is not powering on!!
Honest to tell, I never removed this type of battery, it is somehow sitting there and you can't unplug it. You may need re-solder it after removing... Sorry, can't give more info here.
+Dark Wolf I believe any regular Toshiba charger will fit. If you found a charger, plugged in and no lights nothing happens, it can be either motherboard or DC jack. I would open first and check how it looks like inside (maybe there was some liquid damage and motherboard is bad) If everything looks more or less ok, you would need to test DC jack.
Muy bno me sirvio, no sabia como sacar la parte de adelante y el teclado... Tan solo era a fuerza hajajajaa me daba miedo partir la tapa pero gracias ! :D
NEVER use a powered screw driver on your laptop. If you slam these parts around, it will probably tear up more than you fix. This should be an example of what not to do, when you need to take apart your laptop. SEE A PRO !
With all due respect, the anti-static strip is really unnecessary. I've disassembled and reassembled countless computers, on carpet that holds static like anything and on plastic mats for offices. Never blown a part due to static ever.
lolwut? The battery just slides in and slides out, this is the 'tear the thing totally apart' disassembly which you do when you need to replace a screen, replace a fan in the computer, etc.
You are right and I always encourage people that if they are not sure - better they will go to a trusted technician that will fix their laptop.

Hey, thanks! Useful advice!
Just wanted to say thanks, saved me a lot of headache watching you do this.
thank you so much you have no idea how much you helped me
You can try screw extruding bit, also u can use regular bits backwards
Reduced to a collection of parts in less than 15 minutes. Impressive.
It is pretty easy to find. If you will go to Google or ebay and type Toshiba A135 DC jack - it will be a right one and it will fit.
Very good detail video! Thanks a lot. Camera view is also nice shows every detail
What is that second bay for? It is size of hard drive but there is no SATA connector....
Friend very good video, but I have a query, you knows what power jack model, is that I have the same laptop, but before disarming me know the model of the power jack
Thanks that I think to I have taken it apart yet. Trying to reset the BIOS and jumper is not doing it.

If battery in and you plug it to outlet does it charging battery? Does it start without battery but on power supply?

It would help naming the parts as you take them out.
+Slossage17 that's why I created a video about all laptop parts. It is pretty lame to repeat them in all 400+ videos.
+Slossage17 ua-cam.com/video/umxZ_nqzxNk/v-deo.html
check this power button, can it be that it is damaged at some place?
You are very welcome!

Sorry, can't give more info here.
Nope, there is no other way. Case bottom is like a base and everything goes in there. Some regular compound or arctic silver.

Hello: one question...
I can increase my RAM and my video card, I have the same laptop???

Yeah, some laptops have it and this is a total mess. It doesn't comes from a factory like this, some people fixing it this way.
Obrigado!.
so to upgrade a cpu, you have to pretty much strip it completely apart. Unreal. I am stick to Dells. CPU upgrade takes 20 seconds.
