PPS set to 3,0. I think that is best for gold rings. Test items:
0,5g gold ring
1,5g gold ring
2,5g gold ring
5,0g gold ring
5,0g Silver ring
10 and 50 sent Euro coins, bottle cap, pull tab, 60mm iron nail and soda pop can.
Last is speed test...

Where this video fails, is that the detector is not designed to detect through air. It's designed to detect through damp/wet sand. I've had objects down to 2 feet depth with CS4Pi on wet sand. This type of testing is even pointless on land detectors, let alone detectors specifically designed for beaches.

This is a terrible joke of a review I use a cscope 4pi on the beach and if finds very small item's over a foot easily, And I've found rings around 18 inches deep its a cracking detector if you learn how to use it ,Which really isent that hard .

Yup it's a complete waste of your time. Go down to the beach with some items and dig some holes at different depths. Then it's a test more aimed at what the detector is designed for.

@@extropy1 Stop dreaming that this or any other detector for that matter will detect deeper in the ground than in air. A PI will go deeper into the ground than a vlf by virtue of the fact that the ground has less of an effect on it but its never going to detect deeper in the ground than in air except if the target has spread into the ground around it by decomposing a bit in which case the target looks bigger than it is. Normally one can expect a good pi to go about the same into the ground as in air. In this video there is something wrong, that detector should be doing much better than what is shown here in air. Its consistently 100m short of what it should be! My home made PI goes better than this and I know the c scope is better than my home made job. My gpx5000 is much better again..
