@@dragonprincessyona8752 Hmm, I think if it's console exclusive MMORPG it would be covered by Stix. But on the list are a LOT of console, PC, and mobile games...they just have to be coming to PC as one of the releases on this list.
Wish there were more risk and exploration into other genre types then Medieval, Norse or far east settings. Would love Persian, Greek, Egyptian, European post industrial age, Sub-Sarharan Africa and many other regions with their fantastic mythological/grounded stories and settings. I know a lot of these developers are South Korean, but there is an untapped source of great unique settings which will set their games apart from the 30+ same-ish setting types. I do feel like there's a rather distinct lack of creativity on the MMO scene lately. I wouldn't be able to tell most of the medieval fantasy MMOs on the list apart from one another at a glance due to how little in the way of distinguishing aesthetics they have, though I feel like having good variety in playable races instead of strictly humans or human-adjacent is one of the easiest ways to pull that off. More in the way of stylized aesthetics instead of realism would also be nice.
If you remove scams, gacha, mobile, and games that are not actually even MMOs, along with games that will realistically never see the light of day... what do you even have left?

I get the purpose of excluding nfts and chains, but it's a stupid rule. What you care about is the design, not the underlying technology. It's like saying you are excluding any game servers running in the cloud instead of on bare metal.
I'm so tired of the medieval fantasy setting for new MMOs. Half of the games on this list look like a bad Unreal Engine asset flip, and it doesn't help that the ones that actually do look nice follow the exact same gameplay loops and use the exact same buzzwords as the medieval fantasy RPGs before it. It's really sad that maybe 3 or 4 of the games on this list might actually be *good* MMOs while the other 40+ will be flops on launch just due to how oversaturated the medival fantasy genre is. I would kill for an MMO set in a world like the ones in The Ascent or Ghostrunner. Give me some Ultrakill-style combat instead of the generic 3rd-person hack and slash thats been done in so many games already. I swear, this genre is killing itself and its so tiring to watch.
Too early even with 2024+ to mention riot mmo imo. Great list, I think that AoC will be popular, but niche. Archeage2 might be popular if they don't fuck up the monetization again. But the moment riot mmo comes out (and if done right) the scene will change DRAMATICALLY. And not in the opponents favor. Maybe until then Blizz under Microsoft will be able to cook something up with classic+ or restore some value in the retail version? But for now only ff14 looks stable and promising to compete with Riot. I swear people don't realize how niche AoC will be because of the forced PvP and a lot of mechanics being built around that.

Nope! UE5
Odin Valhalla Rising looks like the one...so far from this list at least
and any of this really be out in the west in 2024?
FF14 and hopefully Chrono Odyssey parallel too, is all we'll need
