I should mention that, since this video, the "all coin" cheevs have been moved to a separate subset. That means they aren't required for the regular Mastery icon any more, but will grant you an additional one if you earn them all. And yes, people like the video guy and me got that credit retroactively for doing them while they were in the Core set.
Glad to see someone make high quality Retroachievements videos. ive been in the community for about a year and its been a lot of fun and have found out about alot of games due to it
I agree. I recently picked it up and got mastery on a pokemon red hack. Just started megaman x last night. I do think a lot of the games have outrageous requirements though. Like I don't believe the devs could even accomplish it. "Beat the entire last stage of megaman x without getting hit. No special weapons. No armor upgrades. No passwords. Can't move left" And that can't move left one is only a joke because *it's a different achievement you unlock separately*
@@PajamaJohn1I’d like to see Super Mario All-Stars. Completed that game last year. Took me 17 hours. A Super Mario 64 rom hack would be cool too since RetroAchievements also supports those.
Ever since i found about this community, retro games are a blast for me! Also sm64 was pretty diificult to me, especially LLL and THI took me days to complete (not so long ago the coin chhevipos got moved into their own subset because of too many user complaints of it not being "unfair" and "unfun"). However it was still an amazing journey with the many other games in the site. Im still excited for a potential super mario galaxy set once wii support drops, since thats my fav game of all time :D
The worst part of Nintendo Switch is not having achievements. Sometimes I prefer to buy a game on Playstation instead of Switch just because Switch does not have achievements.
Hate to be that guy, but that sounds very shallow. Not every system needs achievements. Nintendo concentrates on making a fun and engaging experience over silly little rewards that pop up and don't do anything afterwards.
Some games have in game achievements, Smash Bros. For example. And you can unlock something with that. That makes much more sense than anything else, because it serves a purpose to unlock something in game. I completely forgot about SB Ultimate though. I thought about Brawl.
I got all of them too and I had to play the one for all coins on tiny huge island twice because the server went down when I originally got it and they didn't want to manually activated. It was by far the worst achievement. This I believe was later moved to the coin subset for the game.
Is there a better emulator of Nintendo 64 for RetroArch every time I played Kirby Smash Bros and Pokemon Stadium I couldn’t see the graph the body everything
I once did the treasure challenge myself, and yes, some levels are a nightmare, but I didn't even know "Retroachievements" was a thing, so... Should I do it again?
I don't think those coin achievements are in this anymore, which is probably for the better. I've been using RetroAchievements for literally two days, so I'm really curious what happens when an achievement you collected gets taken away from the set. Do you still keep it or...? Great video by the way!
@@PajamaJohn1 That's a smart way of doing it. Those achievements definitely seemed too hard for the default set, but the ones I'm currently working on seem pretty doable.

Nothing stops you from completing the achievements on your own, you just need to connect to the internet to get the points. Which ultimately dont matter if you don’t care about the online aspect
@PajamaJohn1 it just does not unlock offline. The devs at Retroachievements don't care about an offline feature or any kind of synchronisation feature. So it's completely useless If you're offline. They said it's because you could 'cheat' if it isn't always online. And that is just nonsense.
You showed the alerts too fast and I missed them. Please give us time to pause the video and see what achievements you popped. :( Also, sorry about your 11 stars you couldn't show because of random video editing farts. That happens. :(
Nintendo at one point in an interview said they won’t add this as a feature because they want to keep the games kid friendly. That’s it. The fact that someone, or a group of people, thought it was a good idea to add it……is probably the smartest dumb thing I’ve heard all year. 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣 if it hasn’t been a thing by now, it’s not needed.
**Looks at video title :** "I Got EVERY ACHIEVEMENT In Super Mario 64" There are no achievements in SM 64.
