    I hate these series. Since I found them I am forced to learn the wonderful language Russian against my will, because this series is just too good. The worst thing about it is that once you found them you are literally not able to find any better ones on the internet, because everyone has the only things Daria has and Daria also has things no one else has. The difference is incredible. With Daria you are after two lessons further than with another series after 15 episodes. Literally way too good

      I wasn’t planning on learning Russian either. I speak English and fluent Spanish. As I got into it, I found Russian much easier to learn than Spanish. Daria is a Great teacher and I’m excited to press on!

    • @existentialmartian
      @existentialmartian Рік тому +2

      @@jasonhenning9748 I am a Spanish native speaker haha so it definitely helps to at least understand the concept of things having gender but it's not a piece of cake. At least not for me. What makes it so engaging is her way of teaching. :D

    • @jasonhenning9748
      @jasonhenning9748 Рік тому +3

      @@existentialmartian That’s pretty funny you say that. I keep telling my wife that learning Russian is easier because of the similarities to Spanish. Like those you mentioned. I’m starting to get the whole vowel reduction thing. I’m having trouble with the ‘bl’, but I’ll get it. I need to focus on studying my vocabulary. Have you taken the test in lesson 10 yet?

    • @jasonhenning9748

      @@existentialmartian And Daria is a wonderful teacher

    • @existentialmartian
      @existentialmartian Рік тому +1

      @@jasonhenning9748 Oh but is true haha, it makes it somehow easier.
      Actually the vowel reduction thing took me by surprise because I had heard before that Russian was pronounced as it was written so I thought "yay, just like in Spanish" and then BOOM, vowel reduction haha so as I did with English, I'm just trying to take it easy and even intuitively.
      I haven't studied a lot of vocabulary either, to be honest, but songs have always helped me with that.
      I haven't reached lesson 10 yet, this is the last one I watched. How about you? :)

    They make me feel like Russian is so easy and doable. Your videos are so fun and light, it feels like a game rather than untangling a difficult language.
    One request thought. The last 3 videos were shorter than 50 mins because of the complaint.
    And those 3 lessons are heavy but they don't contain practice.
    I do practice on my own but it's not the same.

    Thanks Daria. I will revisit soon to commit everything to paper .
    I have had so much time on my hands because the hospitals here never got Covid , but closed down !! So they have big backlog . They think 🤔 I have pneumonia plus I will be a bit distracted but need to keep my 🇷🇺 russian up. Lol
