Finally a list of actual HIDDEN gems! Some people don't understand that in order to call a game a HIDDEN gem it has to be a lesser known game! Your list is very interesting!
Thank you so much for highlighting Lost in Random! It is the very first game that comes to mind when thinking of genuine hidden gems. The story is awesome, the world building is really well done, and the voice acted characters had me fully immersed during my playthrough. Great vid! 💜
Just found you mate. Some great tips I'd missed and nice presentation and voice. Subscribed and liked (rare for an old veteran gamer/programmer like me). 😊
Absolutely loved Oxenfree, I remember dedicating a whole to playing through it start to finish. I still load up Bad North to this day and have yet to beat it after all these years haha Good video 👏🏽
Bad north is awesome! I played it on mobile, in particular on camping trips before bed. It’s just fun and addictive, with 5 minute battles and constant upgrades.
One of my favorite games from the last few years that I feel got overlooked is Master Detectives Archives Rain Code. It’s a lot of fun and I loved it. It borders on being very trope-y but it’s self aware and hilarious. In between all my RPGs and JRPGs it’s nice to have a light hearted one. Also Octopath Traveler 2 and the Atelier Ryza series. While these games aren’t exactly unknown I do believe that they didn’t get the hype they deserved. UA-cam and internet at large only focus on a game for a short while before we’re on to the next and these games just didn’t get the hype around their releases that the games deserved.
I try to get across the eShop as well as I can so I was aware of all these games, but this was well presented with cool varied choices so I have to say well done.
I love Lost in Random, I found it while looking for a game to play and you're right about the vibes. The soundtrack got my heart pounding bcoz the Queen scared the crap out of me
Mario+rabbids merchendise is very underrated. Its really good. Especially the first game and most the donkey kong dlc ( it Should be its own series) mario+rabbids its often on really big sale so people don’t buy it because they thinks its trash. But it’s a really good strategy game. And also puzzle game and exploring in between battles
Im a Switch owner but also own a PS4. So imo if a List like this are made, that should have more exclusive Games, or at least tell ppl that those Games are also available on other plattforms too. For Example: Lost in Random is also available on PS4, Xbox One and Steam.
Lost in random really took me by surprise. It almost felt more tim burton than tim burton himself 😅. My only criticism is that some fights outstay its welcome, and the game could be a little shorter. But a solid 8,5 out of 10 and well worth it.
If any of you are considering Lost In Random. It's a fun game but the game's icon is absolute poop. And there are some glitches here and there. And EA refuses to fix any of it. It is however a very fun and unique game.
Just finished playing it. The deck building mechanic is super intriguing and keeps each battle feel distinct and difficult so you don't get lulled into boredom. I loved how each new region you visit has a unique playful gimmick based on the number its based around, and though the character models for the citizens get repeated which I found disappointing, the artistic direction is superb.
Please reply to this comment with the games you think deserve to be on this list, I'll play them to make the next list of underrated games :)

Thanks! I agree with you on that

Oxenfree is absolutely awesome. Its second part is also a must-have
I was going to ask that! I saw there was a 2nd one and wanted to ask about it. I’ve heard a lot about the first one and it’s only $10

Wow! Thanks for your support :)
Dorfromantik is awesome. I adore it. It’s such a perfect after work/before bed game. I sit down to play for an hour and all of a sudden it’s been 5.

Lost in random kinda reminds me of Psychonauts, wish it was on switch, but the price would be high for such an old game

Card Shark is amazing, especially if you play with the touchscreen, it feels like you are really manipulating cards in your hands, very nice game ! ❤
Totally agree
I added Lost In Random to my Nintendo eShop Wish List. It's on sale on Steam right now though. Decisions decisions...😊
Lost in Random was a fairly big release, made by the company that did It Takes Twomc
I remember Card Shark from a Direct and was eagerly waiting for it to come out. Then I forgot about it 😅
Now I've reminded you hahaha
Lost in random is one of the best!

Great list. You should try Doomsday Hunters
I'll check it out!
Why is no Lost in Random physical Version on the market ?
Come on limited run games....
Bad North 10/10
I really think Rain World should be on lists like this one. Very underrated game IMO
Lost in Random is SO GOOD
Nice video.
