They went into Assyrian captivity in the 8th century BC and then the Phoenicians spread south to Sinai (and beyond) ,along with other people exiled there from Assyria. And in any case the Phoenician 'center' was in the north while the kingdoms of Israel and Judah were in the south.

Even today in modern day Iraq and Syria there are tiny communities of Aramaic speakers that speak either the Chaldean dialect or the Assyrian dialect. Aramaic and Hebrew are from the same language family. Greek is not the same spoken language but as a written language their alphabet was based on the Paleo Hebrew/Phoenician/Moabite alphabet.
