999 one away from your 1K!
I know right so exciting cant believe I am going to hit the magical 1K! Thank you and everyone else who supported me all this time!
Thanks gentlemen! Repairing jalousie strips in Kaua’i. I’d bet Mike Ditka’s ‘85 Bears sideline sweater it’s better here than Chicago. Thumb’s up for J-Da Bears Fan! 👍 and case closed for me.
I can’t believe how skinny I look!
Keep that diet up bro! Remember the camera adds 10LB so you are really skinny now!
Thanks guys I just bought my first Arrow rivet gun. Identical to yours learned how to use it from you. Awesomeness!!
Thank you Sir!
the swivel head is really good it makes it easier to work it in odd angles
another thing when you use the tool squeeze open the handles push the tool more on to the rivet and squeeze again you will get a tight fit from the rivets 👍🇨🇦 great video brother's
Good tip!
What i went to ed the old teck guy channel but i am seeing j who. Congratulations on 1000 👀👀👊👊
Thank you! I could have never done it without great people like you!
Orale! Big props on the 1000 subs vato loco!!!
Thank you bro!
Thanks, guys 👍👍
What up J-who Bro
@J - Who was up bro! ACM Congrats again bro!
congratulations on 1k brother 👍🇨🇦
Thanks 👍
very cool thank you for the mention
to answer your question there is no cutting going on the rivet breaks off from the pulling force derived from the tool
make sure the parts that grab the rivet are clean and i think their is a adjustment screw if u decide to toss it save the head screws incase u might loose one from your other one 👍🇨🇦
Thanks for the info bro!
Also I like that rivet gun and the case isn't bad either. I need a rivet gun, mine walked off.
This isnt a bad one but if you use it every day you may want to invest in a better one. The Blue point or snapon rivet gun are awesome!
I like that thing. And like you, I probably only get mine out about once every 2 or 3 years.
Exactly so this thing fits the bill!
999 subs as of 5:30 pm 12-15-20! You're going to do it, Ed!
I know I am so excited! Thank you for your support Di! Hey have you seen Clippy or Charlie around? I am scared!
First!
Better than second! You win the prize!
Great video. Enjoyed it and I do have a arrow riveter
Congratulations Ed on hitting 1000 subs Brother
Thanks 👍
Nice arrow rivet gun
Thank you
Does Craftsman not consider the rivet gun a hand tool? All their hand tools are "bring the broken one in (no matter how old) and get a brand new one for free" policy. Nice video. Thank you.
Thats a great question! Let me see if I can find it and try warranty
Strange Brew classic
LOL!!! You caught it!
What do you mean, "some don't like J - Who?" J is the best!
LOL
I'll have to go get one and at my job I have a never ending supply of rivets
Yes Sir pretty cool tool!
Arrow gets a thumb up from me as well I use there staples all the time
Yes great tool!
That is a much better designed and built riveter than the ones Arrow used to sell and that is a well designed box. I usually toss all cases and boxes for tools as they are usually too bulky. For that old craftsman one you might be able to get a pair of replacement jaws for say an arrow or other brand and it's likely one of those will fit. Or you can often get away with just cleaning out the steel in the teeth of the jaws.
Thank you for sharing!
As of 04/09/24, it costs $32+ at Home Depot.
Thanks for the update
Why does it get stuck after it pops how to I take it off
blade and ejection is not workign correctly return for warranty
Dude, I messed up! First time riveting and placed a rivet in backwards 🙄. The mandrel got stuck in the head so I had to take the tool apart. This was easy. However, now I’ve reassembled the tool and the mandrel gets stuck each time the rivet pops into place. I have to disassemble every rivet to remove the mandrel. Also, since reassembly and loading it backwards, when I release the handle to do a second grip and pop the rivet, the rivet moves out of the gun instead of choking up into the tool like it should. I have to place a lot of pressure behind the tool to force the rivet to choke up and into the gun.
Can you do a disassembly and reassembly video of the working portion of this tool?
Ouch! Oh no! That sucks let me see if I can make a video for you.
@@edtheoldtechguy man, I just returned it and exchanged it. 🤷♂️ I appreciate your willingness to figure that out though! I had taken it apart and put it back together the exast same way, but it just would NOT ehect that mandrel.
I Bought one and mine must be defective because I tried it on my john boat and couldn’t get it to cut no matter how many times I squeezed the handle. To where I had to cut the rod to the rivet with a snip.
Sounds defective.
i just got one its $31.97 now
My rivet gun is a real bitch to use it requires two hands and full strength to get the cut really starting to feel the coming arthritis in my fingers when I use it.
6 minutes into the video and I’m still waiting to see how to use the tool. A how to video should be brief and concise.
Thanks for the feedback. I have learned a lot since this old video. Like all things content creation has a learning curve and we all make mistakes on the path of learning.
My arrow rivet gun is crap. Wouldnt release rivets…taking it back… made in china crap
Talk way too much for what is needed to get a beginner going. Too much. Verbose!!!!!!
Thanks for the input and for watching.
