It should be noted that there were 10,000 copies of the Id Anthology boxset in 1996. By now a decent amount of those are probably either lost or destroyed/incomplete.
I always wanna hang out with Mathas after watching his videos.
I'm like that with most of the people I watch on UA-cam. Good quality to have
Not sure if anyone gives a shit but if you're bored like me during the covid times then you can watch pretty much all the latest movies on InstaFlixxer. Have been watching with my gf for the last few weeks =)
@Ben Kashton yea, been using instaflixxer for since december myself =)
I used to love unboxing a brand new computer game. Most had maps, comprehensive manuals, company catalogs, and decorative containers for the CDs. Buying a game on Steam or directly through a company online removes that thrill. My favorite was Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri because the manual was enormously detailed, and it came with technology trees on a fold-out poster. I used to play the heck out of that game.
Yeah. I love all the books and stuff that come with the boxed PC games. They just don't give us that kind of stuff anymore. So I just use Steam. :( I mean, Steam is great, but still. I miss my manuals.
Those extensive manuals were the only thing able to contain me when I had to wait several hours at christmas eve, before I can play the new game I got ^^
DrPluton I still have my manual, that thing is like a Bible lol
Also the teller emperium Galactica 2 manual was epic, also still have somewhere, along with my system shock manual with all the keycodes written down inside
DrPluton I still consider the Ultima series having some of the coolest extras! Miss those days.
So fallout 1 and 2 review question mark
Guaranteed the only time the big box version of Zork Trilogy has ever been referred to as “dope”.
I said it in the series and say it again: I had the most fun with Vampire Redemption in Multiplayer. Just using it as a budget version of some Pen and Paper RPG Platform. I DMd and 2 friends were the players.
I'm just sitting here waiting for Giants: Citizen Kabuto!
I just spotted Rama next to your ear. I loved that game!
Some of my ultra rare items include the super limited version of Halo 2600 that was only available at a Classic Gaming convention a few years back. Also, I have the Reliquary edition of The Bard's Tale IV, which mine is 42 out of 180. I also have a steal case version of Neverwinter Nights that no one seems to know anything about. And like yourself I have a sealed copy of Planescape Torment and never realized how valuable it was. I do agree that it is one of the greatest games ever made.
I remember it being hard to find information on Redemption so that will be cool.
mine is Birthright: The Gorgon's Alliance. It is like 30 years old now but I still play the disc sometimes.
mine is probably Thief Gold, but it's a little battered up.
I only have a handfull of 90s big boxed games and Id argue that most of them are fairly rare only because I try to find them sealed. But I do have two that are truly hard to find. One is a sealed copy of Nascar racing from papyrus and the other one is Jane's USAF with the strategy guide, sealed again.
you inspired me to have a very specific collection of computer games: the standard editions of all the WoW games. cost me like 60 bucks minus legion and BfA
I wouldn't say it's a rare game but rather a rare box to have. I have a Collector's edition of the original WoW. It goes for around 300$ on Ebay.
I dunno what my rarest game is but I'm going to guess it's one of the special edition Megami Tensei games I've bought over the years. I'd guess either the Tokyo Mirage Sessions one or the Raidou Kuzunoha vs. King Abaddon one that came with the plushie and where all the boxes were actually numbered.
My rarest is probably either I of the Dragon or Once Upon A Knight (Otherwise known as Knightshift) They aren't really super rare. (You can usually find at least like five copies of it on E-Bay, etc.) But those games are my babies.
I have a ton of rare games, but I never kept the boxes.
My rarest game would have to be Lunar and Lunar 2 for psx, good series. Would love to see you judge it Mathas lol
My rarest games would either me my .Hack collection or my copy of the Misadventures of Tron Bonne.
You are lucky I am too lazy to ebay. It is nice seeing so many of them behind you instead of my closet.
The rarest game I have is starship troopers Terran ascendancy
I do believe i've played the majority of the games in teh shelf behind Mathas :P
Spoilers: Half-life 3
i love when judge mathas comes out and its about judging games but instead i get things like, let me show off my collection. Kinda like when i go to watch a lets play and its politics or a blog about their life.
I think we still have a few big box PC games. But I'm not sure if they are complete or in good shape.
My rarest game is Banjo-Kazooie.
I know, I'm very funny.
I had Fallout 2 boxed version, but probably not worth as much since it's in german and I also don't have the box anymore.
I mean I also owned Legacy of Kain and Vampire Redemption, but yeah, ain't nobody got storage space for dat.
Don't know if you are aware of this but there is a Collector's Edition of Redemption which has an extra book and a special edition of Bloodlines which contains the soundtrack.
I've got the soundtrack version of Bloodlines actually! God no idea how hard finding the Redemption one would be haha.
Damn I have Fallout 2 somewhere. Just the disk though. That was my game when i was a kid with no internet on his pc lol
I regret giving my AD&D gold box mega collection away. only 1700 made :( none of this 10k junk. 10k? lol. try 1.7k!
Were do you find videogames prices?
Is there like a specific site, or it's just ebay surfing
for big box PC games, check the Sold listings on ebay to get an idea what they go for.
You talk about games like I talk about my guns lol.
