setup Pegasus 1. Place all roms in a folder with each system having it's own sub folder. 2. Go to Pegasus metadata generator find the retro arch core or standalone emulator you are looking for there and check the boxes once that's done scroll up and click on the download as zip button. 3. Copy the files from the metadata generator into the folder with your systems then unzip and put the files in with their respective systems. 4. Open Pegasus and enter the settings menu scroll down and click set game directories. Open the folders with your games and select the metadata files one at a time. 5. Once your done with that go back into Pegasus settings and select reload all games. Congratulations you did it. Getting box art. 1. Copy folder with all systems onto your PC. 2. Download and install screen skraper to your PC. 3. during setup it should ask to scan for games (or something along those lines). When it does select your folder that contains all systems. 4. Once it gets all your systems it should boot into the app. When this happens you should see your systems on the left hand side and a play button in the bottom right corner. Select all systems and click the play button. (I have nearly 300 games and it took me about an hour or so) 5. Once it finishes open your file manager and find your systems folder. Each of your systems should have a new folder and txt file. Nothing needs to be changed with the folder but you do need to change the txt. 6. Open Google and search for Pegasus metadata converter. When you open the site there should be two boxes an input and an output. The input is on the left and above it the should be a drop down menu click on that and select the option that has generic in it (I forgot what the full thing is called) then paste the contents of one txt from your system at a time and click enter. 7. In the output box text should appear copy this text into original metadata files. (The meta data converter gives you extra lines that you already have. Delete them). Do this for each file. 8. Copy the folder and the new metadata files back to your device and when prompted tell it to replace files with same name. Reload all ges in Pegasus and you should see all your box art. (If you don't see the box art completely close Pegasus. If you still don't see your box art then go into Pegasus settings and click set game directories then select all metadata files you are replacing then re-add all metadata files. Adding themes 1. Download the theme you want onto your device 2. open your file manager (I use zarchiver) and select android then data. Once there look for Pegasus (it should be called org.pegasus_frontend.android) open it then open files then open Pegasus-frontend then copy your theme into the themes folder (if you don't have that folder make it yourself all lowercase themes) 3. Open Pegasus app open settings and your theme should be there. And that's it. For me it took 3 days to setup completely because I had school but you could nock it out in one Saturday if you do it on a Saturday. If you have any questions I can explain
It would be great to do a Pegasus tutorial from start to finish editing both metadata. There aren't many tutorials on Pegasus. thanks for your videos. 🕹️

I appreciate all your emulation videos no matter how long they are. You're doing a great job. I'd like to see how the Ayn Odin 2 handles PS3, Xbox and Vita emulation as well as Pc games on windows.
I try to section them into chapters so people find the relevant parts 😁 so Vita is still sorta hit and miss and I'm not massively into the library, the only way I'd showcase it is if I knew how to properly install the games on an SD card and have them run on there, apparently you have to change some lines of code to do that. PS3 and Xbox emulators do not exist on Android yet, those are definitely like a year out if they're in development.

Hey the can odin 2 play all Pokémon games from GBC to 3DS like FULLY PLAYABLE, with no stutter or choppy audio? I know the switch pokemon games are not fully playable I guess. So basically my goal is to play all pokemon games from GBC to SWITCH Or do you suggest me to buy the New 3DS XL to play all pokemon games? But down side would be no psp or andriod gaming will be available in it. As a bonus points for me But ya goal is to play all pokemon games, what do you suggest?
I can't personally vouch that you can play the 3DS Pokemon games from start to finish as I haven't played them, but the Odin 2 has more than enough power to emulate 3DS games. I only say this because emulators aren't always perfect and Citra got shutdown earlier this year along with Yuzu, while other 3DS emulators are being worked on Citra was the most advanced and complete. If I was you though, yeah I'd get an Odin 2 feeling confident I could play the 3DS games, it's wonderful to play them at higher resolutions with a better screen and sound, and imo a better form factor. But yknow it's pretty cool to have a New 3DS XL as well, if you could only pick one I'd pick the Odin 2, but the 3DS is still a great little device.
Yknow what I agree with you, and you are right better quality and resolution is awesome to play, for me as long the pokemon games work for me in 3DS Because my aim to play all pokemon games from GBC to 3DS and switch as a bonus then ya that’s more than enough for me By the way a very important question, all this emulation are free in the Odin 2 right? I DO NOT need to pay to play all these different emulation and games right?
I have seen the game Jumping Flash b4 and was trying to remember what it was called to tell my friend around a year ago... Sadly, I did not create it tho, lol. (1:50:20)
I have just got my odin 2 and have a few games on it, just looking for a guide how to install the console start up sequence as ive looks deep on google and games corps ect but it isnt explained i have certain console bios if i am supposed to compact these files with the game file? Or is it a completely different thing to do? Do i load the bios file to the emulator?
If you mean you want to start a game and see the console logo bootup and stuff then this is something to do with each emulator. If you take the PS2 emulator for example (AetherSX2 or NetherSX2) if you go to app settings then the very first option there in 'General' is 'Fast Boot', turn that off and you'll watch the start up sequence. PS1 emulator Duckstation is exactly the same. It has nothing to do with your game files, the BIOS has has all the console stuff you need but not every emulator gives you options in the settings like the ones above. I remember Game Boy Advance had some weird settings in RetroArch if you wanted to keep the Game Boy Advance logo...but yeah each console/emulator is a bit different for this.
Does pegasus or any orher frontend have a retroachievement widget like dajisho had? Is no longer working on dajisho and the developer wont fix it. I used that a lot...
Hi Alex, don't get me wrong, I love your content, but when it comes down to texture packs, I don't see the point, so what if a few bricks in a wall look better. It playability that is no.1 in my mind, and always will be, graphics are 2nd, and as long as the game runs smooth, as intended by the developers back in the day. Then I am happy. I am very old school, when graphics were not a thing, for example, my favourite game is Battlezone arcade with its 3D vectors. Pure Playability. The Mario Karts are pure fun, until you get blue shelled, about to finish first place. N64 is my favourite console, Goldeneye graphical wise was crap, but the greatest first person shooter ever made, locally with your 3 mates or in the single player game, just awesome. Now hacks are a completely different thing, to me, changing a games look and feel to me, are very clever and may prolong a old game, to be played through again. Like the 3D Nes emulator, that was very clever. Completely changing the look of the games from 2D to 3D. I am more into tinkering with settings to get the optimal speed out of handhelds. For instance trying out PC gaming on Odin 2, with all the new updates coming out all the time. 😎
It gets fixed for me if I go file … install firmware and then after installing get it to back out of the menu without exiting vita3k (try to select a game before hitting ok). Need to redo this everytime I reload Vita3K though so it’s a pain but better than the black bars
hey im thinking about getting this devide , do you know if i can transfer pokemon game save files from pc to the device? and maybe apply cheats in the emulator?
When downloading things the pulldown menu does not work so I can't see the progress. When I pull the menu down I can see it for a split second then it pops back up again it doesn't stay and it doesn't stay long enough for me to even see the progress. Has anyone else experienced this problem?
Which SD card do we use? FAT32 or NTFS? FAT32 cannot transfer more than 4GB of file. Please let me know. I'm having issues with my roms not being recognized.
Because phones aren't strong enough to handle those games even dolphin emulator doesn't have a perfect performance like 30fps on a powerful phones and some games don't even run at all now try to imagine Wii u like black ops 2 Wii u on phone we have to wait until phones get Powerful enough
Which GPU driver are you using to run Dark Souls? Most recent Turnip and Yuzu build allows me to load in, but my graphics are black. Menus and such still work without issue. Thanks!
yeah no thanks, I like playing my games on a device dedicate only to play games, with physical buttons, good battery time and a nice grip in the hands, a phone is a phone it doesn't matter if is marketed like "gaming phone", is not worth it
Hmm hard to say, haven't used it myself but generally any well functioning frontend that makes it very easy for the user and looks good is hard to say no to. I just like Pegasus and the theme I'm using, it's exactly what I want so I don't feel the need to change. And if anything goes wrong, say a game doesn't get recognized or an emulator isn't opening I know the ins and outs enough to try things and fix it, and generally now whenever I add new games I just add all the art myself and got used to that. Sometimes scraping either doesn't work for certain roms you have or has art you might not like and would prefer something else.
That's rough dude, definitely would see if anyone on /Odinhandhelds on reddit or the AYN discord can help besides obviously emailing AYN. Does it do anything when trying to power on? LED turn on or anything? Would be weird if it was a dead battery, and a faulty screen wouldn't stop it turning on.
@@-roetakaso the device charges only - for a second it shows it charging and then turns off - the led doesn't work - I've just contacted Ayn but the UK to China timezone is weird hopefully it's fixed- the battery is fully charged it shows for a second and when I plug it into a computer it's not recognised- it feels like an expensive paperweight now
Hmm does seem like a power issue but can't be sure. I guess one thing that comes to mind is maybe the battery isn't plugged in properly, or perhaps the battery needs draining then recharged again. I'm no expert and after looking in mine and looking at others teardowns it's not relatively easy to do a proper test of removing and reseating the battery so before I'd even think that I guess I'd query on reddit and discord as well as wait for a response from AYN's support.

Yknow what I agree with you, and you are right better quality and resolution is awesome to play, for me as long the pokemon games work for me in 3DS
Because my aim to play all pokemon games from GBC to 3DS and switch as a bonus then ya that’s more than enough for me
By the way a very important question, all this emulation are free in the Odin 2 right? I DO NOT need to pay to play all these different emulation and games right?
I wish you could buy different shells
That Android 18 icon is great. Can you link me the source or file you made ?
I have seen the game Jumping Flash b4 and was trying to remember what it was called to tell my friend around a year ago...
Sadly, I did not create it tho, lol. (1:50:20)
If only the screen size was at least 7 inches, I would have bought one
hi! thanks for sharing your files, i want to size change system logo(svg file) in collection screen, can you do that?
I remember Game Boy Advance had some weird settings in RetroArch if you wanted to keep the Game Boy Advance logo...but yeah each console/emulator is a bit different for this.
the sad part is MOST ds games have one screen as a menu/HUD or similar
Does pegasus or any orher frontend have a retroachievement widget like dajisho had? Is no longer working on dajisho and the developer wont fix it. I used that a lot...
Where did you get the videos for the platforms?
Hey there, how did you configure the mgs 3 controls with regard tonthe pressure sensitive Buttons? Thanks
is it easy to change the buttons? I don't like nintendo layout so I will switch A/B and X/Y
ua-cam.com/video/X0GDptAEQos/v-deo.html they provide a video, I think it was fairly easy to do but I can understand how it might worry some.
PPSSPP latest release supports .chd files now, might be worth it to check that out.
Seriously? It's not mentioned on the play store
@@droidhackingThe version on Play Store is not the latest.
How did you get Mame to work? The Roms I was downloading did not work and they were roms specifically for Mame 2003 Plus. Thanks
How did you get this version whith Playstation Buttons?
So there is a way to make the games show little gameplay videos when I hover over a specific game like Emulation Station right?
Hi sir, sorry, can you do a video of you running one state rp on full settings? It's a high-end android game.
Quick question do emulators save your progress
yes, and a majority of emulators allow you to make save states wherever you want
@@-roetaka which ones can. Can dolphin cemu, nethersx2 and yuzu autosave
Is there a fix for Vita3k being cut off at the bottom? It's completely unusable like this.
I kept getting black borders top and bottom for reasons I didn't really know, sometimes they'd go away, so I had no idea.
Hey Roe, did you play through Majora's Mask 3DS entirely on the Odin 2?
I've not really touched it yet. Keep meaning to play the Odin more but I just get caught up in other stuff.
What ds card brand do you have
The card in my Odin 2 is: SanDisk 1TB Extreme microSDXC card
When downloading things the pulldown menu does not work so I can't see the progress.
When I pull the menu down I can see it for a split second then it pops back up again it doesn't stay and it doesn't stay long enough for me to even see the progress. Has anyone else experienced this problem?
Which SD card do we use? FAT32 or NTFS? FAT32 cannot transfer more than 4GB of file. Please let me know. I'm having issues with my roms not being recognized.
Anybody know the reason why there is no Wii U emulation in Android?
Because phones aren't strong enough to handle those games even dolphin emulator doesn't have a perfect performance like 30fps on a powerful phones and some games don't even run at all now try to imagine Wii u like black ops 2 Wii u on phone we have to wait until phones get Powerful enough
Hi, I have an old PC game from 2005. Is there any way to run a PC Windows emulator on this?
Try J2me, flash swf and winDOS emulation too
Could you send a link to where you got the PS logo skin? I can't find that small size anywhere.
Pretty sure the store I bought from doesn't do them anymore, I just looked around on Etsy over a year ago for Playstation stickers.
I NEED to know how you got it to show andriod 18 like that😮😮😮😮
Which GPU driver are you using to run Dark Souls? Most recent Turnip and Yuzu build allows me to load in, but my graphics are black. Menus and such still work without issue. Thanks!
There is a patch for it
Check my last video on Switch for Odin 2, I link the mod to fix the lighting issues.
IS not better to buy a ZTE Nubia z50 with the same processor and a gamesir g3 with cooling system and with aprox 400 USD you have the same and better?
Sure why not, it's your money lol
yeah no thanks, I like playing my games on a device dedicate only to play games, with physical buttons, good battery time and a nice grip in the hands, a phone is a phone it doesn't matter if is marketed like "gaming phone", is not worth it
I am literally going insane trying to find these vita thumbcaps. Are they just silicone covers or actually thumbcaps? Please help me with a link 😭😭
Do you think Pegasus is worth setting up when emulation station is on android
Hmm hard to say, haven't used it myself but generally any well functioning frontend that makes it very easy for the user and looks good is hard to say no to. I just like Pegasus and the theme I'm using, it's exactly what I want so I don't feel the need to change. And if anything goes wrong, say a game doesn't get recognized or an emulator isn't opening I know the ins and outs enough to try things and fix it, and generally now whenever I add new games I just add all the art myself and got used to that. Sometimes scraping either doesn't work for certain roms you have or has art you might not like and would prefer something else.
how did you get a working metadata for flycast? I generated one on the site but it didn't even open the app
Finally Received my Odin and it doesn't turn on - damn, love the vids though
@@-roetaka I will try just that love your vids man thanks for the advice 👍
Hey people! I am hoping someone could help me 🙏 my Odin 2 should be here tomorrow however my SD card will come later sadly 😭 my question is can I take the SD card out of my switch OLED delete it, format it to exfat and then move my games and such?
What thumbstick caps do you have on your Odin 2?
Where to get the PS stickers?
please do a pegagus guide if possible 😢
is this the max brightness can you upload next time in max brightness so we can see clearly cos its lacking more brightness and its hard to see what you show
It's near max but tbh it's difficult to get an optimal capture in this room with this lighting. I'd have to invest to get better videos.
what if you try to screen record it cos its hard to see what you are pressing
thanks for the reply keep up the good work will be looking more to your videos
Did you ever manage to fix the metadata for ppsspp? I'm getting the exact same error and can't run anything through either the regular or gold version:(
Is that a base model?
oooh those playstation buttons... so nice haha i have my odin 2 ordered and after looking at yours in black with those buttons, i m thinking to switch the color to black to do the same haha. Where did you got those buttons?

Have you tried PC games with winlator?
It's not something I'm interested in but I tried winlator a little and I didn't enjoy the experience very much.
Can this play Roblox or should I get a Loki? Thanks
Kirby mass attack is awesome
Where do you buy these. Not seen them for sale anywhere in the UK.
Really not interested in getting one from the Chinese sites.
Simpsons hit and run you need to enable fast disc speed
Do you sell sd card with this pre setup?
How do u download all the games on the SD card ?
