- Here is a trailer for the Rodgers and Hammerstein Video Collection released in the early 1990s. I got this from my old 25th Anniversary videotape of "The Sound of Music."
I've seen The Sound of Music, Oklahoma, the King & I and State Fair! Oklahoma, State Fair and Cinderella are my favorite Rogers and Hammerstein musicals.
The opening of the Sound of Music gets me every time
Thank you soooo much!!! i've been looking for this trailer 4ever!!!!!!
THEY 'RE ALL GREAT UPLIFTING AND INSPIRING MOVIES ANGIE CLARK
I remembered there's no CBS FOX video or 20th century fox introduction because it's silent.
A brief 4 minute video could bring much joy.
I’ve seen all these movies except Carousel and South Pacific
Does it get better? This is such emotional and evokes such a response weather you want to or not.
King and I was the best
Beautiful preview.
I was discussing on my own that after I'm finished at the end of the 3rd year at BA Hons Illustration in Norwich Illustration of the Arts, I am preparing to go to Hollywood to become a newcomer (a film producer, a film screenwriter, a film actor and a film director). Alas, I will live in the Hotel apartment or a flat in London, just like my brother Edward Spence lives in Leicester.
Someday soon, I will be doing some directing and acting for my future upcoming film "The Sound of Magic" with some favourite Rodgers & Hammerstein songs from all six incredible classics, mixing with music, laughter, live-action/animation, fantasy and adventure.
This will contain some assembling characters, including David, a teenaged young governor in the Von Trapp manor I will play; Julie Andrews as Captain Maria Von Trapp; Rosamund Pike as schoolteacher Anna Leonowens from 'The King and I'; Anna Kendrick as 16-going-on-17 Liesl Von Trapp, David's best friend/stepsister; Dame Judi Dench as Mother Abbess; Viola Davis as Bloody Mary from 'South Pacific', and the voices of Johnny Depp as Francesco the cat, and Keith David as the evil Dr. Facilier.
When my future filming is ending, 'The Sound of Magic' will be releasing the summer of 2020, but first the Rodgers & Hammerstein complete movie collection on Blu-Ray, especially 'The Sound of Music', celebrating its 55th anniversary edition, will be releasing in the spring and catch up an exclusive sneak peek of "The Sound of Magic" for its own good. That'll be fun! Trust me!
David C. Spence We don't need a new Sound of Music
Why not?
David C. Spence It’s a classic and too soon
Am I too late to develop the new film to 20th Century Fox?
David C. Spence No. but if it’s going to happen you’ll need enough star power to want me to watch it
Is it scary that Disney's gonna own all of the Rodgers and Hammerstein movies that's distributed by Fox?
ErichGrooms1 It’ll be a surprise to see how they will be honored this way
I just realized that this month it just made me more sad then I already am. I hate that they own The Sound of Music now.
