Right now I'm up to my eyeballs with assembling new furniture and spending too much money because we sold all our stuff when we went tiny 😆 🤣 😂 😹 😆 🤣 😂 I'm having a ball!
We've experimented a lot and found that the best medium really depends on our composting method. With just the bucket, we liked the sawdust...but a space hog like you say. The peatmoss didnt absorb the liquid though...it just kind of floated. Then we went to the separating c-head and found that the peat moss was perfect...but messy. I really like the separation because there is no better nourishment for acid loving plants than a little diluted urine...I've never had such amazing tomatoes!
I think I need a need a taller bucket for that scenario. I have a regular five gallon bucket for when things go off grid here, even in town. Prepared for all grid emergencies. When I'm out in the boonies though soon, I definitely need a more comfortable height of bucket.
Oh, we ran back to Maine for those!!! We'd only been here for 2 weeks when we learned they were coming and were absolutely nowhere near prepared for the worst-case scenario. We just knew we might become part of the problem, so we evacuated. We've only been back for about a week now.
Good morning to you folks. I hope this finds you well. As far a composting toilets, I have one here. It's a very basic sawdust toilet style with a bucket and toilet seat. It's simple and it works, although I'm experimenting on cover material. Sawdust works great but storing it takes up room. Peatmoss works but it tends to be messy and coco coir takes up less room but is more expensive and more prep work. I love your videos and your bubbly ways. Thank you. Still subbed. ❤
I understand the phobia in a way, because years ago for many years I had to live with a laminar air flow protocol situation during the what is now, would have been the second quarter of my whole life. Have survived a lot. Was heavily schooled by the marrow unit professionals of the time, which are no longer that schooled themselves anymore, which is scary, but is probably how I'm still here, and have made it longer than I ever thought I could with a long long time since a series of relapses, finally stopped. This is a good subject topic of setup of the bathroom in a more practical way, from the start. I was taught to shake down clean and disinfect from the light bulbs to the floor. I don't know I had the stamina to do that as many years as I used to be able to complete the whole task in four hours nonstop. It now takes me six hours just to shower and get dressed, to leave the house, for any appointments. I have to allow for a small temporal seizure interlude after whenever my first meal of the day happens, which there's not any way around. It's usually when I'm almost totally dressed. Frustrating, and didn't really start happening until about fifteen years into the best physical fitness of my life, which was way after fifteen prior years of near death all the time, with no episodes during all that. So I guess it's just progressively become part of a lot of Parkinsonian symptomology initially blamed on just long term side effects of survival of extreme medical protocols, from adolescence to around age 36. Anything else that ever came up, was just explained away as long term side effects. So I just adapt and keep moving along, tricky as moving has become. Music, and not driving, thus walking everywhere for this last half of my life, is probably how I'm still moving without levadopa. Does take awhile to rev up tho' every groundhog day morning. 🤣😂🙃🙂 I was worried about y'all during this Uncle Miltie and Aunt Helene, business. I mean that sounds about like my luck if I were moving to Florida. 🌊😳 I've probably mentioned the Big Thompson Canyon/Snake River flashflood vacation in 76'. Where we took our extended family members to camp in the dry creek bed, just level with the dam, above Drake, and downhill from Estes Park. "Hasn't rained like this in over a hundred years." The townspeople said, as we were leaving the dairy barn where the roof was leaking inside, as though we were outside. 💖💕🐶🐱
😆 It's not for everyone. Some parts of the state get much more serious weather than others on a regular basis. We love Florida and come every year, staying longer each time.
Great update, will be fascinating to watch your further adventures. 👍🏻❤️

Hi Kat! Yes, much better, thanks. So glad you popped on...thanks for sticking with me. ❤️

Well it's good to hear you, since like a major couple of hurricanes happened since your last departure. ❤😂

I am looking forward to your adventures in both places . You only have NOW ! Enjoy 🎉😊
That's exactly how we feel, especially these days. Life isn't as long as one thinks and this is now OUR time. ❤️
I didn’t think about adding achol for sanitizer. Il just keep individual wipes on hand. We can adjust to almost anything. Bathroom is important ❤️
I'm completely irrational about bacteria...it's not normal! 😆 🤣 😂
Hello Christine! Thanks for the chit chat! Great to see ya! See you soon. Keep them coming! Luv ya! 🎃🖐🎃
