I love these kind of videos. I’m going to get some of these items. It’s good to be appreciative of every little thing, just the way you are. You are a breath of fresh air with all that is going on. Thank you so very much.❤️🙏
My Husband and I were prepared enough to send some canned foods and toiletries to a friend in Florida affected by Hurricane Milton. Over the next month I will be replacing what we sent which is totally fine! I’m thankful we could help!❤
I moved to Michigan in 1995 because of job transfer never been in snow before. I cried so many times trying to buy groceries and shoveling snow ex husband and kids were no help.
@@Oce67 I can see how you would have been so frustrated. There is just know way to get around dealing with snow. Beautiful to look at, a pain to deal with. Thank you for sharing!
We had a freeze overnite here in South Central WI, I have the woodstove going this morning. I'm playing the heater game to see how long it will go before the heater goes on for the season. Yes, I've been preparing for winter also.. finishing putting away things on the patio and in the garden this week. I'm glad you mentioned winter ice melt salt, I need some and will be out running errands today. The changing seasons are starting to feel like a good thing rather than sadness that gardening season has come to an end. I'm working with my dehydrated garden herbs right now too.. making herbal blends like Italian Seasoning, potpourri, etc for myself and family. A stocked, orderly pantry is nice going into winter.
I love the idea that your family gifted you the Home Depot card for your use!! And how wisely you've used it too!! My momma is 82 and I started gifting her toiletry items, household cleaning and paper products as Christmas and Birthday gifts years ago. She has everything she needs she tells us, so I thought why not do those types of things!! Oh and I also give her canned soups, the fancy oatmeal cups, cookies and lifesavers as well. I never thought about batteries or light bulbs which I'm sure she'd be more than happy to receive as she decorates with multiple battery operated candles throught her country style home! One time I mentioned to her that I felt bad gifting her the things I did but she assured me she greatly appreciated those things as she didn't have to take that money from her monthly income and could still have fun money!! I greatly enjoy your content! Thank you for sharing😊
I was at Sam’s the other day and wished there was a combo pack of batteries! And there it is. Was at Home Depot today for light bulbs and picked up the batteries along with some oops paint for 50¢ each in a red and beige. This 71 yo appreciates your sharing your finds!
Good morning, Robin! Nice to see a haul of home-keeping goods! The mixed package of batteries is a great price - I've added that to my shopping list, as well as the salt. I'm glad you showed us what type of salt you're using - now I know which one to pick up! The Home Depot gift card is indeed a thoughtful and generous blessing from your son and his wife! Thanks for sharing and enjoy your day! 💗
Nice gift card! Household item costs add up fast! I live in Indiana and we have freeze warnings this week. I sadly pulled up my tomato plants yesterday - still have green tomatoes! And I covered up my small patch of green beans. We had a very light frost last night but we have a freeze warning tonight. Beans are under an old flannel sheet they should stay warm and cozy right?
I need to pick up some salt and also a new snow shovel this year I also want one of those small electric heater fireplaces for my apartment. They look like a little faux wood stove. Usually every fall Lowe’s and Home Depot get them in. At a pretty good price. Just simply because I am trying to make my studio apartment look a little more like a home instead of a giant craft room. Which it is….but I want it to be a cozier and cuter craft room…lol….i am going to a local discount tool place where they have great prices on batteries and stock up there. I also want to look into the price of a small barrel hand cranking composter to put out in my tiny back yard. Want to make use of my kitchen scraps and hopefully have a better garden next year.
Jackie, you have a good plan. Step by step, you’ll get there. There is nothing wrong with a cozy craft room. Plans for winter and plans for spring. Beautiful!
You are such a sweet lady!!! I am starting to stock up! If weather is bad, I don't want to go out!!! Kansas is fairly mind most winters but one never knows!!! You take care! Kay
I did a small canned Veg haul the other day @ Walmart. A few things were high or so I thought. I will check other stores. We have an Ocean State Job Lots store in my city and today was the last day of a 40% off $30 purchase, sale. I had so many items I needed that I did 3 orders over $30 each and so received 3 gift cards totaling $38. I use hydrogen peroxide with laundry detergent to wash my laundry. * Table salt will break up ice on contact. I keep some in my car in the winter.
We buy ice melt from Home Depot but we order online and have it delivered for free so we don’t have to go get it and UPS puts it right in the garage for us. We get the kind in a 40# plastic bucket so if we don’t use it all it will be fine till next year
I’m good Carole! Thank you so much for checking on me. I just posted the video. My thumbnail software was not working so I decided to post with just my picture. Lol in all my glory!
Thank you for sharing Robin! Great price on the bananas!!! I was visiting my SI and she has a Trader Joe's by her house, I was so excited when walking in, to see bananas for .23¢. However, when I looked closer at the sign it said .23¢ EACH! I did not get any bananas 😂
I'm canning apples, making apple butter and I'm going to try to make apple cider in my crockpot! I've made apple butter in my crockpot before. But I've never tried to make apple cider, especially in a crockpot!! I'll let you know how it turns out!!
Thought you were planning on really clean teeth! LOL. I use peroxide for stain removal in the laundry. Never thought of winter items such as batteries, ect. Thanknyou Thank you for your gratefulness! You see more, woe is me! Everything is so expensive as they are drinking their expensive coffee.
My husband always said, “Be true to your teeth or they will be false to you.” LOL…he wasn’t wrong. Thanks for being here. We have much to be grateful for. God Bless!

You are a blessing! Beautiful!
I’ve been stocking up as well. It’s so much easier than shopping in the snow.
Indeed it is!

They should be cozy for sure! I have put my small patch to bed as well. I appreciate the generous card. Such a help!

Thanks for sharing Jill! I have used table salt as well on occasion.
HDX is exclusive to Home Depot. Guessing that's what the HD stands for.
