Haha . I was in the same position a while back. Fortunately it was only 3 hours til closing. So I left with 1 buddy and left 2 guys with the engine after it was ready to be pulled. We grabbed food, and came back and we all ate together. Then WE took a shift sitting with it while the other guys went out to the parking lot and rested in the AC. Then we just made sure we were the last ones out and the first ones back the next day. Grabbed that motor for almost half price!

If you ever pull another gen 3 SBC, consider switch the coils and brackets with the round body D585 coils. They give better firewall clearance in some vehicles and are considered the hottest production Chevy coil. Tons of them on the 5.3s, just mix and match in the yard.

I'd say about 3-4 hours. It was our first time doing it. We pulled another one for Cole the following day and it went much quicker.

My question is how did you figure out that it’s a 6.0 and not a 5.3 they look the same to me at least. I have an ls swapped square body and he says it’s a 6.0 and I just want to know for sure

Is it best to reuse what I have as far as computers and modules etc...?
