For me, Josh's work is "MUST SEE" UA-cam videos. He does a really high quality job in the production of his videos and his subject matter is amazing and educational. I can't wait for each new video to come out. That is why I can't understand why more of his many viewers have not yet gone the extra effort to support Josh through Patreon. This is great stuff that he makes for us! It's worth throwing a buck or so into the pot to keep this guy doing really great work and providing us with some of the very best UA-cam content out there! Sign up. It's easy!

Josh I am hooked on watching your videos. They have me thinking when my father and I sailed. I was about 10 years old and he always called me his 1st mate. We always talked and dreamed of buying another sailboat and sailing the ICW from Savannah Ga to Miami Fl. My dad has passed away and we never got to fulfill our dream. These videos make this 48 year old man want to get a sailboat and fulfill it, I feel he will be with me in spirit cause we loved the water. Thanks for the great videos and material you discuss.

Your channel has helped me brush up on my sailing. I'm a Navy Veteran myself living here in VA Beach and Dive Mate onboard a local scuba charter boat. Been getting increasingly interested in sailboats lately. Hope you enjoyed VA!

i subscribed you when you released your first videos about sailboat. you are the first person who told me how to maneuver a sailboat through a video, taught me know the basic nautical knowledge. this is very important for people who have dreams of sailing but cannot achieve it, even cant see a sailboat in real world.

Awesome video Josh (and crew), please keep these vids coming, really enjoying them. Winter here in Sweden, so boat is out of the water, and watching these helps the blues :)

Great video like all of them...very cool that app Windy..I got it for my canoe trips..could instantly see the speed and direction in real time of the wind in the areas I go canoeing on the colorado River..my phone is the Galaxy Note 8 which is also water resistant and i keep it in my lifejacket pocket with me while paddling; very cool; many thanks!

Cool camera swing effect to change scene. Also used with moderation. Liked the documentation of the mainland passage with chart backup.

This was awesome, super bowl sunday and josh posted a new vlog! Another amazing post with some excellent detail on weather and sailing route. Cinematography outstanding, editing damn near professional. I'm so looking forward to those Caribbean, Panama excursion. Though I may be confused as I thought ur sailing buddy jumped ship around Virginia. May God bless you with a safe journey my friend.

I just started following you this morning and I'm upset to find that you just came through VA. I'm stationed in Norfolk for the past 15yrs and would have happily entertained you guys as guests. I like your windy app reference and highly suggest Ventusky. It allows you to see wind speeds as well as pressure, temp, and more and it also forecasts days in advance. I'm looking to buy a catamaran at the end of the season this year or possibly next year and I'm loving your videos. Keep em coming man!!

Can you tell us more about the Rally? I have so many questions. How you found out about it? Did you get assigned the crew to help you or did you just pick them up? How do they get back? Tell us everything.

Great to follow your progress it is fascinating, I notice you have an outboard engine on the back of the cockpit, would it be possible to you use the outboard as a back up power source in case of an engine failure ?

Another great video, in the last few Days I think I have watched the majority of your videos, learned a lot from watching. Would like to see some drone shots of you actually sailing. I know that can be tricky but am sure you could manage.

He almost lost his drone one while trying to fly it and sail. LOL Hopefully he's upgraded drones or learned how to change those settings. My Phantom has no issues flying a distance without reaching any software limits.

Hi Josh. Interested to know how you mount your tablet in the cockpit when sailing and how you keep it charged. How long does the tablet last when using it for navigation purposes. Cheers

Expect its a lot of extra effort to find the music interplay ... but really makes the video have a nice flow and aids in the transitions - thanks for the editing effort!

So do people just meet up and join as crew for these sorts of events? I have always wanted a sailboat and to learn to sail, but going into my thirties I have really no idea how to even begin. I would love to help crew a trip like this with someone to really learn the ropes (or sheets as it were).

Finally posting a new video Josh, always great videos...any news on when you'll be moving from the Exumas? You've been there for a while...any ideas to where next? I'll be sailing in the Caribbean and would be nice to meet.

Hey Alessandro, I took a break from the boat for a little over a month (went back to CA for the holidays and to figure out my financials because I ran out of money). I am heading back to the boat, which is moored right now on Stocking Island in the Exumas, on Tuesday of this week! I'm looking forward to getting back to that beautiful area and to start making more videos. Where will you be cruising? I am planning to cruise around the Bahamas until April at which time I will head south to attempt the remainder of the trip to Panama and beyond.

From what I've heard the Sailing Doodles guy is creepy. Not exactly who most ladies would want to be alone with in the middle of an ocean. While there is nothing wrong with having a few ladies on board I wouldn't want anybody on board who is simply eye candy. If they can't pull their own weight they can stay on the dock.
