That Ab Strap can also be used to mimic the old Nautilus Pullover Machines, which were so awesome for lats. Just stick your arms in up to the elbows and grap the top part with your hands.
@@Tiger1016. I'd never say TrakHandle Sports are the best handle for every known exercise because an attachment thats designed for a specific exercise will likely be better for that exercise. Personally I'd say they are suitable for more exercises than any other cable attachment due to them allowing your hand/wrists 3 planes of free movement, again that may not actually be ideal for every exercise but it does at least allow you to carry them out. Thats why if I could only have 1 cable attachment, it would be a pair of TrakHandle Sports. The Prime Rot8's look pretty interesting as well, I think they will be going on my shopping list.
The Petzl Spirit carabiner is designed for easy clipping. It's primarily used for sport climbing. I use mine for exactly that - for sport dog bones. If you want to stick with Petzl, they make an OK biner, which is oval-shaped to reduce shift. In my gym, I use the Black Diamond Oval Keylock, simply because it's black. I use Petzl though for the majority of my climbing rack.
The Spud inc. Long Ab Strap made my training sessions SO much better and funner! I can never go back to single rope. It's really good for incline tricep pushdowns and cable rows (acts like a spreader bar) and you can hold the strap really low in the wrist for best force transfer. It's so much better than the last attachment you showed, which I did consider buying, as it's way more versatile and affordable!
I really like Kleva Built's Tricep Pushdown Attachment. It's similar to the tricep bar you showed at the end but doesn't have a rotating piece and is at a steeper angle. I think it's a little too expensive for what it is but it's my favorite tricep piece. Also I really don't understand the hype for Angles90. I bought some a year ago and I really don't like them. The webbing is sharp and can be irritating for anything that causes the webbing to hit my hands. You can use it for pushing movements but getting the webbing into the slot takes a minute and it's really easy for it to fall out again once it's not under load. I've bought a lot of products recommended by this channel but that's really the only one that I regret.
7:34 - Larry Scott won both the first & second Mr. Olympia contests (1965 & 1966) and had, in my opinion, the best arms of anyone in history. He knew countless little tricks to get the most out of every exercise (a lot of which he learned from Vince Gironda, a lot he came up with himself). FYI - that's Reg Lewis in the second pic, not Scott.
Thanks to those who commented on trakhandles! Never heard of there over here in the UK but now read some reviews and ordered a pair as they look a great addition to the gym set up I have. Thanks!
imo the TrakHandle Sport (not the Pro-X) puts those D-handles to shame. Not as robust or knurled, but has an additional axis of rotation - for nonlinear movements it is SO fluid
Another TrakHandle Sport fan, I always thought I must be the only one!😅 Definately the most underrated bit of kit around, probably due to the crapy old promo vids but if I could only have 1 cable attachment I'd choose TrakHandle sport absolutely no question.
IPR fitness glute kickback attachment (strap across the middle of the heel makes an insane difference). I prefer the single cable attachment dynepic makes to the dual one you showed but great product. Otherwise you got most of the best ones I use also!
You need to do it up coop. Order all the jd gym equipped cable attachments! I have the majority of them. Also bare steel iron legend handle is killer for back
Prime KAZ handles also work great for tricep extension work, just unclip one of the ends and your good to go. Kinda negates the need for the conical shaped attachment as well.
I would check out some of Gluck's favs. I think the Rogue D handles are far superior to the Rep ones. I own both. I also love the Pioneer tricep strap. I do want to buy the Darko shorty or longy at some point and I do think the length of the spud inc ab strap is great for Duffin rows.
Coop, is a collab with Dr. Mike and Renaissance Periodization coming anytime soon!? Gym tour plus hypertrophy workout with Dr. Mike? Would love to see that! PS: Have you seen the MAXUM Fitness SX2? Any chance we'll see a review since it seems like one of the best options on the market?
Coop, if you look in to rock climbing carabiners I'm sure you'll find something you're happy with. I've got several left over from my rock climbing days that fit the description of the one you like.
I've been waiting for a cable attachment round up FOREVER. We need a maximum advantage grip video. Would love to see them compared to the generic ones from Walmart and Amazon. How do they compare? Which ones should people get and in what order
Hi Coop, try a back workout on the *Lat Slapper* (from Raw Motive Works). I don't know if it will be a game changer, there is no handle knurling, but the design is interesting.
Hey, that’s a prime functional trainer. I have one and absolutely love it. Definitely on the pricier side though, but I think it’s 100% worth the price
Hey, that’s a prime functional trainer. I have one and absolutely love it. Definitely on the pricier side though, but I think it’s 100% worth the price
If you like the Spud Inc Ab Strap, you should try the extra long Beltfed Accessory Strap sold by Surplus Strength and made by Beltfed Strength. It’s the best leather handle available and is extra long which is great for tricep work.
Was traveling n gym I went to had aluminum attachments. Liked so much ordered them for home. Something about them being lighter. N they cheaper which is nice.
I'd add rolling fat grip d-handle and pinch block for grip exercises. Sure, not crazy versatile, but I got them fairly cheap and I end up using them each several times in a week.
Love to see some options for loading straps or something for dumbbells. I dont have plates at home just an adjustable dumbbell set so buying a pulley and cable system would be nice only if i can load up the dumbbells. I do have a pullup bar i could use.
I'm a HUGE fan of Metolius FS Mini II's for my cable machine carabiners. Also for climbing, also fun colors. Available from REI and ~$4-5 cheaper than those Petzl ones.
Great video! Please please do a hands on review of the Rogue single stack plate loaded half rack functional trainer so I will know whether to pull the trigger during Black Friday. Those of us with limited basement and garage space really want someone to review the Rogue FM-HR functional trainer.
I have a lot of handles incuding those prime fitness RO T8 handles. Believe or not my favorite handles are the total gym open ended ones with some fatgripz I put on them. They are actually one of the cheapest handles in the market.
A deal breaker for me on home gym equipment is if it only allows for one main exercise. I think it some ways you have to be creative. But I do agree that cable type equipment usually provides the best range for different exercises. I wonder if the cable attachment designs is being innovated on due almost exclusively by the home gym market.
TrakHandle? If so this is THE best & most versatile cable attachment you can buy, I always recommend them in any cable attachment video comment section but nobody ever seems to listen 😅
I have a pair of knock off Angle 99s although I prefer my Kensui handles. Recently got the squat harness which is fantastic for a variety of moves. Should do a review of it at some point.
Fun stuff. I have the shorter Spud and don't care for it. May try the longer version. Using 1 or 2 ropes now... Would like to find a belt squat attachment for my cable (IronMaster Tower). Don't have the space or $$ for a dedicated Rogue.
100% agree! They look weird with the thin cables etc but they are more than strong enough plus their old promo vids are terrible but I saw through that, I knew those skinny looking cables were more than a monster could snap & their range of motion made them suitable for more exercises than probably any other cable attachment available. When buying mine I got stung for taxes into the UK so I probably ended up paying around £180 GB pounds including postage etc, which is ridiculous for cable handles & you know what? I'm seriously thinking about buying a second set just in case they ever stop selling them just so I have spares as I would never want to be without them now!
Can you review the Fray Savage Series F-2 Power Rack? Other than an old functional trainer from 5 years ago, I don't see any other Fray products reviewed. Is there a reason for that? Thanks!
My spud inc strap is noticeably uneven. i reached out to them and they said it was normal, even though i told them its making me feel like my workouts are uneven :/ i mostly use it for tricep pushdowns and its pretty awkward. Would be great to get a replacement for the price, but oh well i guess.
I'm a cheap son of a gun, I have the cheap rep power rack and was wondering if anyone had solid suggestions for pulley attachments other than the rep lat pull down attachment that's almost 300 dollars.
Having just acquired a lat pulldown/low row machine, I am disappointed how the majority of good quality steel and knurled attachments have added pivot points. I am pulling in a rather direct path, and being on a cable will solve any deviation. Unnecessary cost to add in a slight struggle on occasion to clip an attachment on or setup the straps for the value of mildly fatiguing wrist flexors and extensors. The REP steel handle is nice, though the sleeve does rotate a bit, but at least this is for simplicity of design not needless complexity. New straight bar, lat bar, neutral grip, and mag grip coming.
You gotta remember that Coop’s background is powerlifting and CrossFit. He’s only recently getting exposed to the bodybuilding community (and machines) so probably not as much exposure to non-PL accessory lifts
Thanks for the video, Coop! I enjoy all of your reviews, but I’m done buying big equipment like racks so I skip those videos more these days. I still have the room and budget to buy smaller things like attachments, though, so it’s good to hear your thoughts about them. A request to manufacturers: offer more choices for handle diameter. I have big hands, and 30 mm just feels too small. I prefer 35 or 40 mm. I’m sure there are people who would prefer smaller diameters, too. One size does not fit all!
That Ab Strap can also be used to mimic the old Nautilus Pullover Machines, which were so awesome for lats. Just stick your arms in up to the elbows and grap the top part with your hands.
I quite literally was just searching this up and this just popped up on my subscription feed. Coop knows
TrakHandle - best cable attachment I've ever used bar none & probably one of the most unknown/underrated
Yep my Trak Handles (Sport version) will replace whatever handles REP is sending with my Ares 2.0.
These are tied for me with the Prime Rot8. Just depends on the movement. Best of both worlds.
@@Tiger1016. I'd never say TrakHandle Sports are the best handle for every known exercise because an attachment thats designed for a specific exercise will likely be better for that exercise. Finally a Darko Lifting product!
Time for you to get over to Dr. Mike's gym and do a collab!
Wow I love you all friend 💖
Lmnt is legit, I’m a delivery driver, and they keep going 🙏🏻 the mango chile flavor is too damn fire 🔥🔥🔥
My Trak Handle (Sport version) will replace whatever handles REP sends with my Ares 2.0. They're that good.
i just wanna say I love my kensui grips they are phenomenal. I use them all the time at the gym. You can also use them on pull-up bars!
I love the ironmaster ultimate row handle. One of the most versatile on the market
The Spud inc. Long Ab Strap made my training sessions SO much better and funner!
I can never go back to single rope.

I just realized Coop has a knurled wedding ring. This is a man who knows what he likes lmao. That's amazing.
You should see the door knobs in my office. - Coop
Coop got to be the only person with a home gym like that and a true dad bod

This week my wife started complaining about my banana grips. I love my little banana grips but now I’m here looking for a replacement. Thanks coop!
Thanks to those who commented on trakhandles! Never heard of there over here in the UK but now read some reviews and ordered a pair as they look a great addition to the gym set up I have. Thanks!
Cables are my preference. Just so versatile.
Love the Spud, Inc. attachment. Works for triceps, abs, face pulls, and reverse squats.
imo the TrakHandle Sport (not the Pro-X) puts those D-handles to shame. Not as robust or knurled, but has an additional axis of rotation - for nonlinear movements it is SO fluid

+2 on the Trakhandle!
IPR fitness glute kickback attachment (strap across the middle of the heel makes an insane difference).
I prefer the single cable attachment dynepic makes to the dual one you showed but great product. Otherwise you got most of the best ones I use also!
I like the IPR hexagonal handles, too. All of their products are very well made.
You mentioned the lat bar, but the Larry Scott tricep bar concept is great as well
No MAG grips?
I was definitely expecting Coop to give a nod to the Mag grip line
Perfect timing. I just set up my PRX squat rack and ordered a bullet pulley system. Need the attachments now. 💪
You need to do it up coop. Order all the jd gym equipped cable attachments! I have the majority of them. Also bare steel iron legend handle is killer for back
Not everything needs to be knurled. The dually grip is awesome as is. Great feel. Perfect shape.
the dually is amazing, love it!
Prime KAZ handles also work great for tricep extension work, just unclip one of the ends and your good to go. Kinda negates the need for the conical shaped attachment as well.
Yes the larry scott mutant metals reference. Coop the man of the people
VTS and Crandell Fitness swing arms please!
Love darko products!! Glad he is getting some recongition on here
4:55, I never would have guessed that Coop would like the knurled version 😂
Woooo thanks Coop!
A couple more attachments would be a flat tricep bar and maybe some of Kleva’s attachments for rowing
Missed the GymPin handles. The best bars.
Coop, is a collab with Dr. Mike and Renaissance Periodization coming anytime soon!? Gym tour plus hypertrophy workout with Dr. Mike? Would love to see that!

The megalith handles work very well in the Mutant Metals ARC 👌🏼
Lol nothing beats the basic rope, d-bar, v-bar, ez-bar cable attachments tho
landmine attachments are also very versatile
LFG Coop! Keep up the good work brother!
I use Grip Genie carabiners. They claim a 5000lb load for 14$ each.
RO T8 spreader from prime fitness is definitely missing from this list. It's incredible for people who want to attack lats
If you want a spinning handle, get the Rolling Grip Thing from Grip Genie. 💯
I really like my BFAS from Beltfed Strength. Great company too.
Ivanko EZ bar attachment 🐐🐐🐐
Arm assassin napalm bicep attachment is amazing for the price
Spud strap for the win baby let’s go!!
Hi Coop, try a back workout on the *Lat Slapper* (from Raw Motive Works). I don't know if it will be a game changer, there is no handle knurling, but the design is interesting.
I'm really surprised you didn't feature Mag Grip. The best pulldown handles made.
Hello Everyone. What’s the brand of lat pull machine in 0:29? It seems different then others
Hey, that’s a prime functional trainer. I have one and absolutely love it. Definitely on the pricier side though, but I think it’s 100% worth the price

Coop would knurl his pinger if he could... Good video.
If you like the Spud Inc Ab Strap, you should try the extra long Beltfed Accessory Strap sold by Surplus Strength and made by Beltfed Strength. It’s the best leather handle available and is extra long which is great for tricep work.

Got my Mutant Metals Arc on order. Can't wait until it comes in. (14 week lead times at the moment)
The SYL Tricep Rope is basically a shorter, $10 version of the Spud Inc Ab Strap
Love to see some options for loading straps or something for dumbbells. I dont have plates at home just an adjustable dumbbell set so buying a pulley and cable system would be nice only if i can load up the dumbbells. I do have a pullup bar i could use.
Wrapping it so it takes my grip out of things. Then B roll shot of not wrapped using the grip LOL Good vid and good info
Here's to hoping Coop joins us again for Squatober 2024! Year 10!
I'm a HUGE fan of Metolius FS Mini II's for my cable machine carabiners. Also for climbing, also fun colors. Available from REI and ~$4-5 cheaper than those Petzl ones.

You should do an episode with GMWD machines. A piece two for each body part.
Thank you for the great content! Did you do a video on Dialed Motion cable system?
I have a lot of handles incuding those prime fitness RO T8 handles.

You should make a video about the ER Kang functional trainer rack. It is a very good budget option.
I have a pair of knock off Angle 99s although I prefer my Kensui handles. Recently got the squat harness which is fantastic for a variety of moves. Should do a review of it at some point.
We want know more about that knurled ring in Coop's finger
Does anyone have any videos on what they do with the flooring to fix the natural slope garages have???
The Omega carabiner looks similar to black diamond's hotforge straight gate model. Maybe worth checking out and comparing the specs. Cheers
Another Vote for Trak Handle!
I live in Michigan we get a lot of rain and snow. Any tips on keeping my floor mats dry in the garage?
Soooooooooo, where can we get a non spinnigng d handle?

Have you tested the "Eisenhorn"? This seems to be a versatile and high quality product.
"ribbed for your [lifting] pleasure" - LOL coop you killed me with that.
Basement Brandon used the same expression today in his video.
anyone have these handles or can give second opinion about them. Only available on the company site so returns will be difficult if I don't like them.
TrakHandle Sport Cable Attachment Grip - one of the best!!! You keep forgetting to review it.

this dude has more equipment than he has gains
you should try the Kaz-ually mod for the Kaz handles, it puts the dually to shame

can you point to more information?
