I love this style of video! I like to think I keep up with gym equipment, but this opended my eyes to like 4 attachments I would love to use that I didn't even know existed. Keep it up!
Hey COOP, i am 45 from denmark, 5 month ago i was 142 kg, and is now at 110 kg.. I am still fat, but its going in the right direction :) I love all your videos, thx for making them!
Coop you give us a ton of great info! One of best channels on YT for wt training. Maybe a vid on various spot/assist/safety attachments or systems for solo training. Or a vid on belts, wraps, and straps. Great info... keep going Coop.
I have the Angles and a version of the Spud straps, and, while I don't have a cable machine at home, I use them with bands. You can attach a heavy (or light) band to your rack or dumbbell stand, add the handles, and you have a great tool which takes up virtually no space. Hogs Legs also makes a really great series of attachments. They are designed so they pivot as they move so everything is super sooth through the entire range. I think the Angles are a must have for anybody who likes to use bands, It just makes the grip so comfortable. Great review!
Watched this video and bought the mag grips (copies), Rot-8 (copies) and the spud inc straps. After years of using cheap grips and a wrist issue, I felt I needed to try something new. Superb video Coops. Thanks for the content (from the UK).
Great video format. You have the best way of presenting an educated, hands on review in simple terms. Makes it feel like I’ve used the gear myself or had a Q&A with you.
I'm getting the long spud strap. No question. This is going to be used probably more than any other attachment other than maybe handles for unilateral training.
Fantastic video. I’m becoming an obsessive collector of cable attachments, and this is my favorite GGR video so far. I wish you had mentioned IPR Fitness attachments. Their build quality is top-notch, I’ve gotten excellent service from the company, and they manufacture in the USA, which I know you care about. I especially like their Hex Handles; I find the grip very comfortable. Their foot and ankle straps are also excellent. I agree about the Prime KAZ handles: pricey but great. You introduced several attachments I wasn’t familiar with. Time to get that credit card out....
Coop, I would very much like to see you do a series on adaptive equipment for disabled lifters. There really isn't any good comparative testing of adaptive lifting equipment out there. As a quadriplegic with a very limited budget trial and error testing to find equipment that works & will last more than a month, it is not feasible. Test various grip aids that don't require any help on the user to work like lifting hooks or active hands.
Most underrated/unheard of cable attachment in my humble opinion are TrackHandles, I had to get mine shipped to me in the UK so they weren't cheap but they are worth every penny! I use them for like 90% of my cable exercises now & can't see that changing any time soon ✌
So much to say about the gripping domes, but I'll just say this for now...I appreciate the subtle fall motif in this video. My garage gym color all year. Nice work to all the crew.
Love this sort of coverage! I have the Angles90 grips, and using them for pull-ups and chin-ups has SAVED my elbows (I'm in my 40s). I've also been thinking of getting those grips from Prime. I have another one of their attachments and it has that sort of grip (pretty nice).
Yes, make more "accessory" vids like this one. I loved it. IMO, once we buy our garage basics, most future purchases will be accessories. I don't even look at racks, nor straight bars, nor benches, nor plates anymore.
So far great and easy to use! Changing weights take a moment but the ease of not having a bunch of different weights around is great! Way more cost effective than standard weights!
The Prime knock off handles I have are literally identical. Ive used the real ones and theyre rhe same quality, same materials, same heavy duty. Got them for $25 on Amazon on sale - my only regret is not buying 3 pairs, they're that good
@@pob1845 the ones I have are called "MeiMeiDa comprehensive pulldown attachment" - looks like they're $53.99 shipped with Prime?? Not bad. I got them %50 off coupon
Something i dont really see general fitness channels talk about is the various handles that armwrestlers train with, which are often designed to work your grip harder in some way and/or modify a movement to mimic an aspect of armwrestling.
Cable attachments are really important for comfort but also for the efficiency of the exercise. Thanks for showing us so many. I'm always interested in cable attachments. I an especially interested in the R0-T8 line of attachments.
Coop, can we get a video on torso harnesses, including DIY harnesses for sled work? I think this is popular for football training or anyone looking to develop an explosive sprint start.
Enjoy these kinds of videos. I actually have a few of the ones you showed in the video. I bought everything prior to the Ares system arriving. Kaz Handles - Love them. They have many many uses. Prime Fitness ROT8 handles - also love them. They've been perfect when doing Lat Pulldowns and a few other exercises. Back Widow - bought it after watching your review. I like multifunction gym equipment. The only thing I don't like is adjusting the handles can be a bit cumbersome. I also have a pair of EliteFTS 3" muscle maces. Great for tricep and bicep exercises. I think what I have covers what I need. I've looked at that the Angles90 handles. But I think the Kaz handles do enough to where I don't need the Angles90 handles. I might also add the Spud long ab strap and the All Action Harness.
I bought the chinese knockoff RO-T8 handle set with the rowing grips a couple of years back and I love them. They are versatile, allow me to focus on the target muscle instead of grip/forearm/biceps and they helped with my nerve impingement in the forearms. The price for the original was to high for me. The knockoffs have great build quality and durability. Can recommend.
Just got those from Amazon. Half the price as the original. I know I could've got them cheaper but with Amazon shipping and returns I just went for it.
I saw a few comments of people who also have a angles90 grips which I just received mine today. I'm surprised Noone pointed out the inaccurate information given on how to use them. Yes you can use then where the handle feels more natural in your hand, but you don't rotate them for a different grip.... in other words when you have them in your hand the logo faces your palm, you don't rotate them so the logo faces away..... instead you flip them upside down so it feels like a gymnastics ring in your hand so the logo still faces your palm but is upside down. I recommend if you do buy them to watch the instructional video on their site on how to properly use them.
Coop - could you do a similar video on all the barbell attachments for landmine work? Also, since you used an attachment on your reverse hyper to make it function as a (sort of) lever arm, is there any way to make a lever arm attached to a rack function as a reverse hyper? Some sort of seat attachment that would let you get that good low back stretch, etc? Not sure how such at thing could work, but if it exists, I'm sure you'd be the one to know!
The benefit of the mag grips is the fact that they are pronated and supinated which the knock offs are not. But if you want neutral grip then get knockoffs.
gotta say got my mag grips about 2 months ago and love them. after 10+ yrs of lifting, I'd highly recommend. get med. grip pronate and close grip pronate or supinate of either and then just rotate 180° and now u have 4 attachments from two.
I'm a big fan of the wide strap that comes with the Inspire FTX, though you can order it separately. They call it a chin/dip belt. I use it for regular squats, belt squats, calf raises, hamstring curls, assisted pullups. Very versatile and comfortable.
How do you attach it and position yourself for belt squats and calf raises? i have the same system but haven't found a comfortable way to do those exercises.
I am a huge fan of the rolling grip thingy from grip genie. I use it as a cable attachment mostly for rows and pull downs. it really makes grip the limiting factor in those exercises, but it also makes them so much more fun that you just want to do them every day. Actually after using them for a few months, I came back to doing dumbbell rows one day and noticed that I got a lot stronger even though I was doing less weight.
Check out some of the country crush handles. They are grip and arm wrestling specific handles. But the arm wrestling world has some good fore arm attachments.
The prime RO-T8 handle set knockoff is the exact same. I got the full set with all three of the multi-placement lat bars for $313 shipped to my house. Best attachment investment ever.
Mbpowercenter has some cool ones including an I-beam attachment and 4 way grip attachment. Also have heard ironmaster ultimate attachment is solid. Would love to see all those more in depth.
The strap thing. I got a budo belt for like 2 dollars. Best tool I have for the stuff I use it for. Triceps. Standing abs. Stretching. Arm wrestling moves. And 2 dollars.

There’s knockoffs of the prime handles at the end of the video that are exactly the same for only $50 on amazon. Love using them for unilateral back work and chest flies.
