Bobby Heenan dropped out of school in the 7th grade. Miller hardly acknowledged it. Heenan was literally a genius. Like Heenan told Bob Costas, "I should be hosting this show." RIP Bobby Heenan. GOAT.
looks like Miller rushed it because of time constraints. seemed like he wanted to get thru specific bullet points. if it were a podcast nowadays I'm sure it would be an hour long interview at least.
Heenan was so good at creating heat going back into the 1960s by insulting the good guy wrestlers. This interview shows how bright and funny he remained. A show with him and Miller as hosts would have killed. A shame about Heenan's declining health.
Even in 2004 with all his ailments Heenan was absolutely lights out hilarious. What an absolute legend in wrestling. Well loved sir he left such a legacy
Heenan is still sharp as a tack here! So terrible that cancer has taken his ability to speak altogether now. Best manager in wrestling history and, by all accounts, a really great human being. Best wishes, Bobby, hang in there.
I just wonder if Vince McMahon never allowed Heenan to take any vacation time at all? And if not, then I guess that everybody should know by now of who The REAL Weasel is.
+K.C. Hunter You know, there was a "Bobby Heenan Show" briefly on the USA network way way back. It was strictly WWE and not geared for a large audience. He really should have branched out, though. He sure was/is a great talker.
Mr. Hernan was the greatest manager in wrestling, bar none. And he was sharp like Johnny Carson And when he lived in indy, he taught me how to play football.
It deeply sucks. I do have one idea that makes me wish I was a doctor. You know how there are bionic arms and even specialized legs that allow amputees to walk, there should be a way to create an artificial jaw. Just a thought. I'm listening to Nostalgia Critic review an Adam Sandler movie. so forgive the unintended stupidity . But it would be great to hear the Brain yapping again. What I would LOVE to see is the Best of Prime Time Wrestling on DVD with Brain and Monsoon.
He was like the Don Rickles of Pro Wrestling. If he wasn't in wrestling, he could've been the host of a talk show. He would've been better than Johnny Carson.
VInce actually gave Bobby a show but it only ran for a few episodes because he (Vince) didn't let USA network in on it. If he had, who knows where it could have gone. At least McMahon appreciated the talent, which is more than could be said for WCW and Bischoff.
How funny and quick witted was Bobby? He had Dennis Miller in tears laughing. In this Bobby was 60 years old and his mind was as sharp as ever. Bobby really could have had his own show on television.
Greatest of all time. Hes got Dennis cryin laughing lol. So sad what's happened to him with cancer. Keep pushing Bobby!! Didn't even finish the 8th grade and was/is literally a genius. Amazing.
Darn, Bobby is the man...I saw him in Chicago back in the mid 70's while I was in line waiting for the door to open. Wonderfully gifted person.. He made us hate him but now I realize that kafabe was the in thing back then. Bobby, bless ya!
Heenan was an INCREDIBLE human! Always in good spirits, even toward the end. No one can fill his shoes, few will ever even come close! So much respect RIP
As a child, I HATED this man. In my teens I cheered him on. In my 20s I understood what his job was and how well he did it. Now I just miss his wit on TV.
Dude, now as an adult, I can appreciate Bobby sooooo much more. Think about it: what made the baby faces sooooo great were the extreme heels that you loved to hate. Is there anyone so “despicable” as Bobby heenan? He took that bullet for the fans every single night he appeared so he could lift up the baby faces, and provide a villian in some form for the hero. Whether it was a snarky manager or a formidable foe in the ring, Bobby did that every night for us. Heart of gold in real life who loves his fans as much as they loved him. Heaven gained a gem the day he entered. We miss you brain!!!! RIP hero!!!!
this video interview is a gem, thank you for uploading, he was one of the best to ever do it behind the mic, and one one of the greatest wrestling managers ever! rest in peace 10/18/22
I remember the Dennis Miller show well but never saw this one. Bobby didn't seem to mind the cancer jokes at all, he had an outrageous sense of humor. Sad to hear that he is in rough shape. He was a very funny guy.
Bobby The Brain Heenan is the best manager ever, and one of the best on the mic. Outside of wrestling his interviews are always hilarious. RIP Bobby ❤️🧠
You can tell his cancer is really taking affect here. It is one of the saddest things to happen to such a great person. Rip bobby "the brain" heenan. We all miss you brother! The greatest manager of all time!!
It started taking as early as 2001. It got MUCH worse than what you saw here on the show. He ended up losing his jaw and speech altogether and then ultimately his life.
Hard to see bobby like this. I think wrestling should've helped him more. He's still sharp but I can't help but feel for him. The greatest manager of all time ...
Bobby Heenan - greatest manager in wrestling history. Could have been world champ if he'd wanted to go that way. Nothing that man couldn't do as an entertainer. Plus both of his books are amazingly good. Don't rest in peace Bobby - stay just as full of hell as you ever were, and maybe I'll see you later on!
Heenan was a one of a kind, his commentator work was unlike anything and with the cancer taking his way to speak I'm sure it hurts him as a person but hearing him laugh here is a good thing. his days in wcw were the best in my eyes. not to mention his commentator work with Goldberg was intense and felt. he made wrestling enjoyable. he still does his part but sad to know wwe doesn't pay tribute to his impact on wrestilng.
I got to get that book that was pictured autographed by bobby at ROH show. Its so sad what cancer did to him last years of his life. Bobby was one of a kind. Is missed.
This man didn't go to high school and he was
one of the sharpest men ever!
@TSC TSC 👍
School is more of a certification instead of a teacher these days.
MAN!!!!......
Life experience baby! Heenan was born to make it. RIH

I credit Bobby for me having the best time watching wrestling as a kid. He is the GOAT.
That’s awesome mate, I feel the same way.
Same here guys. When I was a kid I loved to hate Bobby, now I just love the guy.
@@CharlesGrinbaum
Couldn't have said it better myself
I concur
RIP Brain. Thanks for the memories man.
He’s was nonstop entertainment. One of the greatest to ever be in the business
Bobby Heenan dropped out of school in the 7th grade. Miller hardly acknowledged it. Heenan was literally a genius. Like Heenan told Bob Costas, "I should be hosting this show."
RIP Bobby Heenan. GOAT.
looks like Miller rushed it because of time constraints. seemed like he wanted to get thru specific bullet points. if it were a podcast nowadays I'm sure it would be an hour long interview at least.
Bobby was a true treasure. You are missed Brain.
Wholeheartedly 💐🌟❤️
Bobby was the most entertaining manager in my opinion. Great sense of humor, humble man and made me laugh. May God bless his soul. RIP.
Always amazes me how funny Bobby is. He could have done absolutely anything.
+The Red Buffoon Big time!
Bobby couldn't do ballet lol.
I am soo glad that Bobby is still alive.
kenterminatedbygoogle I reckon he'd give it a go hahahah.
The Red Buffoon
He can't bodyslam Andre The Giant lol.
kenterminatedbygoogle How do we know he didn't try? You never know what those guys got upto off camera.
I believe he is even funnier than Dennis Miller.
Absolutely. Heenan is in a class by himself. He's funnier than 99% of professional comedians out there.
+Mark T he was funny enough to have his own late night in my opinion.
Heenan was so good at creating heat going back into the 1960s by insulting the good guy wrestlers. This interview shows how bright and funny he remained. A show with him and Miller as hosts would have killed.
A shame about Heenan's declining health.
He went on Bob Costas show and showed him up on his own show too. It's on YT.
He was. Absolutely.
Heenan is still sharp as a tack you say, huh? Well, that's exactly why he is called Bobby The Brain Heenan.
+TheDDG amen sir.. well said. Heenan was so wonderful for wrestling back in the day.
Very well said!
I just wonder if Vince McMahon never allowed Heenan to take any vacation time at all? And if not, then I guess that everybody should know by now of who The REAL Weasel is.
He was wrong on a lot about the wrestling industry.
Bobby is a natural on the mic, and has a great sense of humor. Loved him as a bad guy, because he knew how to entertain.
Wow his delivery of the Billy Crystal line was pure perfection, I haven't laughed that hard in a while!
God, Heenan should have been a talk show host. He would have ruled late night.
+K.C. Hunter You know, there was a "Bobby Heenan Show" briefly on the USA network way way back. It was strictly WWE and not geared for a large audience. He really should have branched out, though. He sure was/is a great talker.
+Glorified Truth yeah I know. Just saying he should have gone outside wwf and WCW and dine one of those network late night shows.
Thank God he didn't tho. Wrasslin' absolutely needed the Brain.
Miss this man.... Taken way too soon.
The most entertaining man in wrestling... The GOAT.
It funny to see how surprised Miller was at Heenan's wit and comic timing.
Bobby was truly underrated as a tv comedian.
Mr. Hernan was the greatest manager in wrestling, bar none. And he was sharp like Johnny Carson
And when he lived in indy, he taught me how to play football.
Can't believe how Bobby ended up. Heart went out to him. God have mercy on his soul
I thought the same, but when he went out like that, it just showed his mind/spirit trumped his body.
I recently saw what Ultimate Warrior said about Heenan's cancer. What a POS.
@@Comrade2261 and he's passed on now too
@@Comrade2261
Warrior was fixture of my childhood, and always one of my favorites from that era. But he was also a huge asshole to a lot of people.
If he hadn't been in the wrestling business, Bobby could've been one of the greatest standup comedians without a doubt.
God damn! Bobby is as quick and funny as any comedian out there. He should have had a sitcom of his own. What a sharp dude.
+Grandpa the Grey When he got the post with WCW, he wanted to act in commercials. He should have stuck with the commercials. WCW was a sinking ship.
his timing is unlike any other. Most comedians can't do that, such a same he can't speak anymore
It deeply sucks. I do have one idea that makes me wish I was a doctor. I didn't appreciate Bobby enough when he was in WWF & WCW. Now that I'm older I see he was the real star. What a talented and hilarious man.
That's because you're a humanoid.
How funny and quick witted was Bobby? He had Dennis Miller in tears laughing. In this Bobby was 60 years old and his mind was as sharp as ever. Bobby really could have had his own show on television.
THE SCREWDRIVER JOKE WAS HILARIOUS!
OWN BOTH BOOKS!

The Brain was one of a kind! Pro wrestling was at its peak when Bobby was involved.
I always crack up laughing when i watch this . Bobbys shoes will never be filled !! Much respect.
One member of the greatest color commentary team of all time alone with the late Gorilla Monsoon
When i listen to them it's comforting me. Giving me a warm feeling in my belly because i am taken back to my childhood/youth.
I enjoyed this interview. To me, Booby Heenan, Hulk Hogan, and Andre the Giant were the backbone of the WWF.
1:46 "I apologized to Pete, because I have bet on wrestling" I just died LOL
bobby wouldve killed if he were given sitcom back in the day god dang he was good
People LOVE and MISS this Man, and so do I....Job well done, Brain....R.i.p.

Bobby is *the best* all around performer in the history of pro wrestling.
+GrassValleyGreg wrong...Piper was the best

I'll never hate on a Piper vote. Savage is up there too.
+GrassValleyGreg exactly. he may not have finished school, but he became one heck of an entertainer. Check out his weasel suit matches with the AWA.

He was great at what he did! I will never forget his hof speech, where at the end, he said how he missed his buddy Gorillia Monsoon
Bobby Heenan's wit is completely unmatched.
He was simply the greatest. RIP.
Bobby delivers so much in under five minutes! He was up there with Mel Brooks and Robin Williams for speed and accuracy.
Rip Brain. You were the smartest, wittiest person ever involved in professional wrestling and my favorite growing up.

Greatest manager and color commentator in wrestling history.
Bobby the brain heenan is the greatest manager of all time. I hated him as a kid and loved him as i grew up. He was highly entertaining to listen to.
Never will be a better manager then the Brain. I grew up in Chicago in the 60's and Heenan was the main heel for the AWA, Still sharp as can be. RIP
My 1st time seeing this and boy; Bobby was a livewire in this interview.
Bobby was the BEST!

im drunk as shit, but Bobby the Brain, you are are an inspiration, and the man. thank you sir.
RIP Bobby Heenan
I miss Bobby and love Dennis
I got to get that book that was pictured autographed by bobby at ROH show. Its so sad what cancer did to him last years of his life. Bobby was one of a kind. Is missed.
The GREATEST!! We miss you Bobby xx
Wrestling was so lucky to have this man. He was hidden Gold.
I thank God that he allowed this man to grace us with his wit for the Monday Nitro wars before the cancer changed him
Bobby is a legend and tough as steel.
Bobby the brain Very talented man made me laugh so many times
Dennis Miller was only mildy smirk funny, mostly due to most of his writer, but Bobby Heenan was always laughable funny.
I've always loved the brain
As a kid watching the golden era of wrestling, Heenan was right up there with the likes of Hogan, Savage, Andre and the Million $ Man.
RIP Bobby!!!
Bobby is The Best there is, the Best there was and the BEST there ever will be. RIP Sir.
