    I pack a plastic grocery type bag in my personal item bag; or in my jeans pocket - to put my personal item bag in because the floor of the plane is sometimes pretty disgusting!

      @PerriesPassport  9 місяців тому +5

      Hi @RoZaly-lm8ge, that is a good idea if you want to keep your personal items on the floor. I like packing those things in my 1-gallon silicone bag and putting it in the seat pocket in front of me. The bag can be wiped clean and it all fits into my personal item bag at the end of the trip. This is all just a matter of personal preference, of course. :)

    Wow, counting neck pillows as an item!! I have been considering getting a travel vest like ScottEVest. I typically put items in a coat and or jacket that I’m carrying sometimes I’m wearing a hoodie and a coat. They both have pockets that zip. I love that backpack. I have one just in a different color and it’s a workhorse. I’ve taken it on two trips so far.

    I agree with the gal below. I also pack a small white trash bag to put my pocketbook or personal item bag in when it has to go on the nasty floor. I use white because it's easier to see inside.

    I have a 17" x 10"x 13" "Dr Berg" duffle type bag that I use for 8 day cruises, 8 day in Aruba, weekend trips to pensacola. I pack very light and just what i need. The best part is that it fits under the airline seat. Well except for Deta Boeing 757-200. They have almost no under seat space. In the case I get it gate checked.

      @@PerriesPassport It was a promotional item I received at one of his Keto conference. lots of room inside, front zippered pockets and separate wet area that I use for dirty clothes. It has a shoulder strap but no wheels. Sometimes I cram like 40lbs inside and kinda heavy to lug around. so I bought a small wheeled trolley from walmart to push it around. At TSA the trolley folds up and fits neatly inside the duffel bag. Its amazing that its still personal item size and fits under the seat.

    Not all toilet papa er is created equal. For cruise ships, for example, they use a special toilet paper that will decompose better and not clog up the system. Toi;et paper brought in the stores are different. I wonder if this is the same for airport lavatories. In any case toilet paper and nose tissues are not the same and toilet tissue should not be used in toilets ever.

    • @PerriesPassport
      @PerriesPassport  9 місяців тому +2

      Hi @ramonanussbaum. Yes, you are correct that toilet paper and tissues are not the same, but you can flush tissues on the plane since it all gets "flushed" (it's really done by the compression on the plane, hence flushing doesn't work when the plane is on the ground). I didn't know about cruise ships, so that is good info. Thanks!

    I’m confused…why do so many items you are not going to use on the plane go into this bag? The extra clothes, your tech and valuables make perfect sense, but an extra purse…a selfie stick? Shouldn’t those extra items be in your suitcase? I personally try to make the personal bag as light as possible so I don’t have to drag something heavy around the airport. Perhaps it is for weight distribution?

      HI
      @kellyc1578. I am presuming that you have packed your carryon to max and these odds and sods can go into the personal bag. My backpack has a trolly passthrough, so I never really carry it, and the little that I have, it's on my back. With the new regulations with what is considered a personal item, I make sure that this one does max duty. I guess it is a personal choice, at the end of the day.

      @PerriesPassport  7 місяців тому

      Hi @user-ez4jy6jj4g I'm sorry but I don't understand. Tissues are for a runny nose. I wouldn't use it for that toilet unless there was no other means, if you catch my drift. On the plane, there is no plumbing system like in a house. That is why the crew often dump coffee grinds down the toilet.
