I have taken Belsomra for at least 5 years. It is the only sleep med that works for me. No hallucinations and a restful full night’s sleep.

I was on belsomra for a year or more! At first it seemed to work well but quickly had to raise dose to sleep then I had intense scary dreams as well as walking around outside undressed , starting food in the kitchen as well as many other activities. The more I used belsomra off and on over they year it just caused more sleep and personal problems than without it. At first I thought I finely found a remedy . But it just got worse....Be careful I also talked and yelled in my sleep on Belsomra! BUT the dreams on Belsomra were the scariest and most intense bad dreams I ever had and for that reason alone I would never go back! One more thing that started to happen on Belsomra after a while of use is I could not move,NOT at all, I could hear noises and I knew there were things going on around me but I could not do anything, it never lasted more than a minute or two but in my brain It was a lifetime. I would panic that I would never be able to move ....This chemical is so bad and I cannot say enough about the stuff it put me and my family thru....Stay away.

Insomnia so bad, I can probably recite to you all the product companies that have had class action lawsuits filed against them from the past 5 or ten years.

You should look up the Fisher Wallace Device, my mom works with military veterans and some of them with severe sleep issues and PTSD have said the device puts their symptoms into complete remission. I've even tried it myself and it helped a lot.

I was prescribed this and ended up fainting in the kitchen. It also made me feel groggy for hours. Not for me!

My experience so far having taken it twice (15 mg). First time mild hallucinations the following day and bad leg and hip pain for a few hours. The second time and sudden extreme weakness in both my arms with cold sweat about 5 hours after waking up. I felt like I had been in bed for a week taking high powered antibiotics and had just gotten up for the first time - you know, that cold sweat you break when you feel like you are about to pass out? Ended up going back to bed to sleep for another couple hours and it passed. Can't say it worked better than Ambien or Restoril. Only slept about 6 hours, slightly deeper than usual, but really not keen on the side effects.

Well a new version similar to it is coming out called Lemborexant. Could potentially be 4 times more effective. It's fascinating to see this new class of sleep medicine begin it's journey. I imagine it'll be the excitement when SSRI's were first invented in the 80's for the depressed.

I have trouble sleeping as well, so I stead if sleep aid, or just poison to put me to sleep, I listen to fastasmr and fredsvoice! They work for me and if you listen to their videos it might work for you! I average 6 hours a day/night depending on my schedule! There are many ASMR artists on UA-cam, plug in your earphones and save your liver from all those toxins cause the adventure to experience with ASMR is better than paying your Dr for what's available on UA-cam!

Taking a nice walk-just get out and walk-really helps me sleep. Walk before sleep, outside, it will help a lot.
I just don’t like the fact that there are such serious side effects.
With all the advancements in medicine more should be known and communicated to public about the side effects
It’s noble that she is donating her brain for research however I think it’s important to accurately assess the dangers
Cchr.org has really shown me a thing or 2 about this
