You explain things very well. I went over 15 years raising my family on 2 to 3 hours of sleep a night and working part time. Finally a Doctor took me seriously and gave me Rhovane and I became a normal person and joined the human race and could be a proper parent. I have never looked back and will always be great full to my Doctor.
@@ivosoares9459If you think that’s funny, you are a sick person. The guy is getting some sleep! Obviously, you don’t understand what it’s like to function with little to no sleep.
After training my brain that sleep was an enemy with massive amounts of coffee all night long for years as an emergency worker, I have now been prescribed Temazepam for years and have enjoyed restful sleep each night since the drug dose was titrated to the effective range.
@Michael Stec I know, mate. I've been on it for ten years, 1mg pills. I took it because of insomnia and anxiety (I am an ex H addict) and it worked great. Soon after a year, I completely lost control on it, and two pills at night became five, six, ten, during all the day. So I switched on clonazepam, which is longer lasting, and it's used for short half-life benzos addiction like alprazolam, lorazepam, etc. Well, now I'm fkd up! Beware mate, take care! Cheers
@Neville Hattersley I was prescribed 3mg a day (one in the morning, one on midday and one before being off to bed. But I started with normal dosage, then 3mg /3mg/3mg then there micro - withdrawal symptoms started showing up, and I had to take from one to four in a row every two or three hours, until it didn't work anymore. A 28 tablets pack wouldn't last a day . That's how I switched on clonazepam. But...... BEWARE!!!!!! 🙏🙏🙏
Finally, a Doctor Who knows what he’s talking about, has read the literature and appears to have clinical experience. Thank you for your help and insight.
I have been taking temazepam 30 mg for several years now nightly with no side effect. I works in a timely manner(around 30 min.) with virtually no "hangover" or next day drowsiness or ill effects. The next morning I feel quite well rested. Maybe I'm one of the lucky ones.
Carlos Sabater try saying addicted to people with heart disease or diabetes who take pills for life time. It is not like these people with insomnia wanted to drink pills. They just cant sleep.
All insomnia medications are meant to be used for no more than a week, but the truth is we may need them for an extended period of time while the cause of insomnia is being addressed. That's just reality. They're bad for us, but chronic insomnia may be much worse for us. It may take a relatively long time to solve the insomnia problem.

I can sleep as late as I want. My Dr started me on 3 mg which got me a few hours sleep. So I took it with a couple 1mg Klonopin. So now I'm taking 9mg of Lunesta at night and it works well. How is a person going to function with zero sleep? I can stay awake 24/7 if I don’t take a sleeping pill. Currently taking Lunesta 2mg. Have been on Zolpidem previously, 10mg and I would wake up after 2 or 3 hours. If the Lunesta 2mg doesn’t work, my endocrinologist is going to switch me to 3mg. I have had a partial thyroidectomy.
That's terrible! Diphenhydramine is more dangerous and harder on the body than zolpidem. After 10 years it's ridiculous that he had to virtue signal and take you off of a med that was working for you.
Most benzodiazepines, strength is weak to moderate, Doctors often exaggerate their strength to put patients into a “Fear - Psychosis “ , Just like Hennessy, if I have 5 cups of Hennessy I may not walk straight, but 1 or 2, I still keep my balance, and not disoriented.
What can you tell me about clonidine? I’ve been on it for sleep since I was 10 now I’m 24 and I still don’t. I often feel sick when I don’t take clonidine. I take two .2mg of clonidine daily.
Clonidine for sleep? Interesting. It's an alpha receptor antagonist as the method of action. So commonly perscribed for blood pressure and to lower heart rate. He has a video on clonodine, check it out it's great.
Diazepam has ruined my life I was on 5mg three times a day and I still am 7 years later on 5mg 3 times a day I was also on ambien and and promethazine as well as codiene. The diazepam withdrawal and tapering attempts made the horrific other drug withdrawal effects easier to stop. My life is ruined.
